You can try to make it at home n it's much cheaper n taste better according to your taste bud. Nowadays my helper makes a variety of roast pork belly, chicken, duck, char siew(roast pork) etc quite frequently.

I used to buy the roast pork there a few years ago but l stopped altogether. The seller was so sarcastic the last time I bought the roast pork there. When I asked whether he can provide some chilli sauce, he said he has none. When I suggested that it would be nice to go with the pork. Guess what he replied? He sarcastically said that's your problem, not mine!

Such delicious traditional. Chinese Cantonese roasts fast dusappearing from our modern lifestyle of quick phone calls for MacD burghers and French fries- urgh, cold ones too!
Same with the one at Sri Petaling. It varies from 2~5 hours.
These parts of KL that I miss the most, especially the roast duck. By the way, what color they put in the water to poach the chickens? It doesn't look natural.
I think is sand ginger, Cantonese use many sand ginger for chicken.
