Poof was the show getting old, Sparky was digging a grave, and Chloe was getting in it and dying.
I dont like the new theme cause it just feels like it's trying too hard
i actually didn’t mind sparky, but chloe was when i altogether stopped watching fairly odd parents .. forever
At least Poof was introduced right and proper as well as Foop. Those other two, though, was introduced way too fast and put out into the spotlight to focus us to like them. It didn't.
Chloe was the Maggots growing out of the Corpse left by Sparky.
@Harry Engel Unfortunately they changed the theme song for the worse in my opinion the lyrics and the vocals sound horrible.
Tbh, I think the show should have ended with Channel Chasers, Wishology, or Meet the Oddparents
True
In my headcannon the series ended with Channel Chasers, everything after that it's just a dream or fanfiction except School's Out Musical :P
@@diego_chang9580 yeah I also do that
@Diego_Chang Fun Fact: Tara Strong even admits that the show should have ended with Channel Chasers
Agreed all those specials were some of the best of the entire show
I don't like the fact that Timmy falls in love that equals growing up and he loses his fairies. Like really? What if a 13 year old likes a girl, but his family is abusive, his house is in shambles, and he's sleeping with rats and roaches? Are you gonna take their fairies because God forbid, they feel a _human connection?!_
It was a really dumb plotpoint that was only added for dramatic purposes, and it doesn't make any sense. What makes it worse is that Fairly OddMovie also completely ignores the fact that Timmy had a crush on Trixie... or rather, it completely ignored Trixie altogether.
What even counts as love? A simple crush? A mutual connection? All the movie seems to show as "love" is Timmy and Tootie going on a date, cycling, literally sitting in a tree, and the love rescue, declaration and kiss in the climax. Some of that stuff seems just as simple as Timmy's crush on Trixie in the show, and if that crush counts as love, then Timmy would've been disqualified to have fairies as early as age 5, as he claims in Wishology he's been crushing on Trixie since kindergarten! While he wouldn't receive his fairies until age 9, if Abracatastrophe is to be believed.
All in all, the love = maturity thing is not only beyond wrong, but also potentially continuity breaking.
Have you ever thought about doing The Day The Simpsons Died? That would be a multi part series in itself.
Super Eyepatch Wolf made an interesting video about The Simpsons, I recommend it
It’s been done a million times already. It’s the most basic factoid ever.
@@Channeleven2345789 Then whats the definitive season where it gets bad, cause the answer is all over the place?
@@MicheallikeMJ To be fair everyone has their own pinpoint of what day The Simpsons died. For some, it would be Homer vs Dignity, for others it would be the episode where Cheech and Chong were the guest stars, or it could be last year where they made a cartoon with The Squad. For many, it will be this year where the director of The Problem with Apu got his wish.
@@johnenigma8506 Well hopefully the decision to replace Apus voice actor with someone of color will make the simpsons better again. Maybe itll be just like new again! 🤠
Chloe feels like she's out of a fanfic, not a professionally made TV series.
Zoophobia
I will just say it here: the show should have ended with Channel Chasers
I feel it should have ended after wishology
@Harry Engel I feel like it would have been a fantastic ending. It tackled Timmy's fear of growing up and losing Cosmo and Wanda, with him coming to terms with it and choosing to enjoy their company for as long as he could. I feel like that would have been the perfect finale for Timmy as a character, with the last scene of the special working as a nice epilogue
Yeah, I don’t get why they continued it
Yes I agree😩🤍✨
I think Fairy Idol would have been a cool ending, and up to Meet The Odd Parents from season 8 it had dignity, stinkers here and there, but still heart and it would have been a lovely ending too... season 9 is where they gave no fucks anymore LOL
Whenever I see the shows later seasons when they switched to flash animation it just looks gross
I think there was only flash animation in season 10.
@@pepearown4968 The second half of Season 10, to be specific.
@@LeafRazorStorm I think it was by the same animation team for Total Drama
Cosmo and Wanda went from being head over heels in love with each other to seeming like they hate every second they have to spend together :(
I know. It was heartbreaking :(
I, The Bronze Kneecap, will defeat you Crimson Chin! Using my deadly bronze kneecap! "Don't make me use this!" "Okay! I'm using it!"
Channel Chasers SHOULD have been the series finale, given we see Timmy as an adult, married with kids. Like Chowder, it felt like the logical way to end the series.
Yes😩❤️❤️
Chowder??
Unpopular opinion: I actually like Poof and the concept of Comso and Wanda having a baby and I love his brotherly relationship with Timmy
The concept of them having a child is fine but like be said Poof didn't really add anything
I didn't hate him but i can understand he was just a plot device.
@Juan Diego Torres True
He was actually great but then sparky came in which made me stop watching
Poof was fine, Sparky is when it became bad.
Timmy Turner is a potential predator... being played by Drake Bell... the irony
The day Arrested Development died could be interesting.
Can do an article on loving and days of our lives.
There's like a million videos on that tbh
Half way through season 3
@@BartoloElMinion There are also a million videos on the decline of The Office, does that Vee shouldn't have covered that one either?
I think Scary Godparents should have been the series finale
Daamn... I didn't even knew about Kevin Crocker.
He was a Season 10 thing and only appeared in a few episodes
I forgot about him lol
I only remember him in one episode, I barely watched the Chloe episodes.
He was actually my favourite character from the new characters
I always loved how Crockers ears were on the middle of his neck
he always hears himself swallow
The Fairly Oddparents should have ended a decade ago. The new characters were not needed and I don't know why the animation became flashy towards the end of the run. I'm glad it ended in 2017 and it didn't continue being milked to death til this day. Cosmo became another Patrick and it seemed like both characters became retarded just like Peter in Family Guy. Not to mention, Wanda's constant nagging was as bad as Lois' nagging on today's Family Guy.
@Foty829 Thanks.
*I remember they made a big deal that the fairly oddparents had a additional new character back in 07 after being off for nearly 2 years & I instantly recognized the lack of charm missing that made me fall in love with the show in the first place. I gave it at least 2-3 more episodes until I decided to no longer be invested in the show.. or watch it any longer.... JUST LIKE SPONGEBOB!*
Makes me really glad SpongeBob hasn't added any major characters to the main cast like that, only beefed up some supporting characters' roles like Bubble Bass, Karen, and Pearl
I feel the show jumped the sharks during the short run season 8, the stories became lazy.
For me the last good episode of the show was finding emo.
@@LeopoldLitchenstein yea
What's with the bold comments? It's kind of distracting.
@@damienthonk1506 ?
The whole "Timmy being a grown adult in the 5th grade" thing could've actually been a really funny in-joke if executed right. Like say in the movie's universe, Timmy is still a 10 year old, but appears to be an adult to the audience as a reference to how long the show has been on the air. The characters in the movie wouldn't reference his age because he's still 10 to them. Would've been really clever and funny if you ask me.
I thought that was where they were going. I never saw the movie all the way through just some random scenes and filled in my own blanks.
Too clever for modern FoP.
Or better yet, make a film where he is on the last days of 17 and is in high school (with the core classmates he had) and tries to deny how he is growing up and keep making wishes (as a grim Reaper esque character revealed later to be Jurgen in an oversized robe acts as a reminder), include an emotional conversation with his parents about how they regret not being better parents, a heart to heart with Mr Crocker (who had lost everything for proof of fairy god parents) about moving on, and an ending on Timmy's 18th birthday with a parting gift from Cosmo and Wanda in the form of a picture of the both of them in the show's style (made out to look like he got it at a fair) with a message on the back of it. That would be a better film than the one's we got.
The thing that bugged me the most is when sparky was kicked off the show. Its not that he left but he just dispeared with no inuniverse explination. It bugs me to this day. I wish they gave him one last episode where he found another fairydog got married and moved to Hawaii. Or If Timmy said hey wanda remember what happened to Sparky Wanda: Yep I remember him he found another fairydog got married and moved away Timmy: I'm gonna miss him. 2 sentences and it doesn't even have to have anything to do with the plot.
icecream hero or they could’ve made it that he found a way to do magic with his tail and moves somewhere else to grant wishes
he pissed on the fairy godfathers lawn. now he sleeps with the fishies.
kyriss12 I-
i hope they took him out behind the shed
Maybe he died on his way back to his home planet.
I hated that the fact that Vicky was being shown in less and less episodes.
Not just Vicky, ANYONE who wasn't Wanda, Cosmo, and Timmy got shown less.
I know :/
And the dad got dumber for some reason and just appears in some episodes for fillers
Yes! I mean, she was the main villain and the reason why Timmy needed the fairies in the first goddamn place!
I'll say this about Fairly Oddparents; Poof never ruined the show and his first few appearances made it interesting again. However, I wish they would have kept the idea of good/bad things happen depending on his mood because that's what made Poof (and Foop in his first episode) who he is. Sparky could have been written better than dog version of Cosmo and Mr. Turner, but he still had his moments. Chloe is only bad because of the dumbass way she was introduced. Had Timmy decided to lend Cosmo, Wanda, and Poof over to her like he did Tootie that would make sense, but a fairy shortage is bullshit. Seriously, who the hell is Jorgen Von Strangle's fairy god kid because he could've been the one to grant Chloe's wishes. And as far as the movies with Drake Bell & Daniella Monet, those were great and you can't change my mind.
Romaro Brandon I agree with all of this.
And timmy could have just wished for more fairies, to help.
The first movie is quite good
The live action movies were great ngl. The later seasons in the show (Season 8-10), they kept pushing new characters and lazily wrote them. Also, we had characters like Chester, AJ, Francis, Trixie, Tootie, Veronica, Vicky, etc. Great characters that were there in the first place that got thrown in the trash to make room for new and crappy characters. I left when they introduced Chloe.
Poof did not mske it interesting again, ppof may not have ruined the show, but they definitely were a bad addition, i didnt find the addition interesting or necessary at all. Kinda ruined the dynamic of timmy and his godparents imo too.
The continuity thing always bothered me too. Pissed me off even. A show doesn’t have to be story driven to make sense
*Just like spongebob, it ran it's course & became stale.*
spongebob aged like a king compare to the later seasons of FOP
U mean became gay? Cuz now they say hes gay.
@@lunisic No, Spongebob is Asexual, like Stephen Hilenburg said since around season 2.
And to be fair, SpongeBob started hitting the right notes around season 9
@@CobaltCruiser I legit believe spongebob wasnt that bad outside of the squidward nail episode
I didn't even know that Kevin Crocker was ever a character
Headcannon: the countinuity is all over the place us because there are alternate timeline's
The first 5 season's are the original timeline
Seasons 6-8 is the Poof timeline
And seasons 9 and 10 are the sparky/Chloe timeline
@Katie Logue agreed
Katie Logue very well said🖤
Vee, to further your comment on the animation style of the show:
The series originally was traditionally animated, where each cell was hand-painted, and eventually drawn and colored digitally. But the 9th and 10th seasons were animated using Adobe Flash to cut costs. And yes, as a result, the movement of the characters became too smooth and elastic compared to the solid and slower style of the hand drawn style.
Slight correction: Only half of Season 10 was Flash-animated. It seems the budget cut was made, not for the show to last longer, but for Nick to quietly end it with minimal liability.
I stopped watching Fairly Oddparents after Poof was introduced.
Same
Same.
I didn't stop since he was introduced with a creative concept of "whatever action he does, the opposite happens," but they dropped that super fast so he became pretty pointless
I stopped watching at sparky
@Teeky's Yandere Club how??

A.) When Season 10 switched to flash and had a new intro
B.) When Sparky was introduced
C.) When Chloe was introduced
D.) All of the above!
To quote Dark Danny: “the answer must be D. None of the above. Well, what do you know? The answer to the first question IS D.”
E.) When Ray DeLaurentis took over the show writing quality in season 7 onward and the episodes being about Timmy's parents and Crocker.

Dear God, Timmy's in a padded cell now. He's no longer linked to reality. After Chester and AJ left, he had no link to real reality.
I honestly think the show should've ended with Timmy being more mature and giving away Cosmo and Wanda to Chester.
No, it should have ended with Channel Chasers.
Now this is gonna get good.
Unlike the Fairly OddParents

This...has aged like milk for obvious reasons.
Omg we had a similar experience. I mostly watch Nickelodeon for Spongebob, but got into Fairly OddParents.
👑💚🌟💖👑
I really liked the idea of Cosmo and Wanda having a child, and Poof's first few episodes were nice, but he stoped hading anything to the show once they forgot that his emotions effect his magic and just became a background accessory. Its so sad that the show didn't even have a proper ending too it just kinda finished

One of the worst downfalls of any cartoon
Along with Spongebob and The Simpsons.

@@uncannydcmarvelous5732 Family Guy had a worse downfall than all of these.
uncanny dcmarvelous I disagree, the Simpsons is just meh at worst and Spongebob actually kinda had a comeback quality wise
Star vs The Forces of Evil fell pretty hard imo.
I will always enjoy the first five season of the Fairly Oddparents. But it so tragic it became a shell of it’s former self. Many other popular cartoon shows did had proper series finales and not overstayed their welcome. Avatar the last airbender had a multi parter finale that ended the show perfectly( same with Legend Of Korra), Samurai Jack was revived for a 5th season so it can conclude its Story where it left off. Ed edd n Eddy had a TV movie that served as the series finale. Modern animated shows like Gravity Falls, Adventure time, Steven Universe, and MLP Friendship is Magic did got great finales and not Overran their courses. Hell, even Butch Hartmans other beloved show, Danny Phantom, did got a finale. It may not be amazing, but at least it ended on a solid note.
I blame dinkleburg for the fall of this show
DINKLEBURG!!!
And that’s another thing! Why didn’t we get a good explanation as to why Mr. Turner hates Dinkleburg so much? No backstory episode, no flashbacks, no growth, NO NOTHING!
@@isaacstevenson2960 Mr. Tuner is just jealous becase dinkleburg has a better life than him, its kinda like a homer simpson and Ned Flanders thing
Doodle the poodle I guess but I just wanted a little more than that. Maybe I’m nitpicking a little because it got super annoying afterwards but it’s true.
@@Numbuh8578 I would say he hated Dinkleburg because he dated Ms. Turner before he did.
People hate new spongebob, south Park, family guy, Simpsons but none of those shows went to shit in later seasons as bad as Fairly OddParents. There is no such thing as Season 6-10 of FOP to me
Tbh, South Park and Family guy are not bad at all right now. South Park changed its formula from episodic to more of a narrative and it’s still good. Family guy is pretty much the same except a couple of characters personalities that changed for the better. It really depends on if you liked them or not to begin with.
@@kylevernon I agree. I was never really a big fan of Simpsons but I do love Family Guy, South Park and Spongebob. Arthur too. I honestly rather watch the newer episodes of FG. SB I can see why people say 1-3 are the best but I like newer SB too. I find the newer seasons of SP hit or miss but still good enough to tune in. I don't get why people hate on Family Guy so much these days. Even when the plot of a FG episode doesn't interest you or it's a bad episode, there will still be something funny in it. Completely off topic here but I think the same for Two and a Half Men. I watched its original run from the night it premiered in 2003 til the night it ended in 2015. I loved the show with Charlie and still loved it with Walden. The show was still hilarious with or without Sheen to me.
Yea I really am upset with Nickelodeon for it they have to understand some shows aren't spongebob can't hold up like spongebob and the only reason why spongebob still is good is because it had a few of it's old writers by it side the whole way through but all fairy odd parents writers dipped in 10 season
Exactly!! I agree!! The simpsons are still very funny and makes me laugh 😆 but FOP 🤦🏾♀️
Whats wrong with season 6? It still had original writing staff til Wishology. Most supporting characters were relevant at the time and Vicky was still the main villian. Major problems began in season 7 When Ray DeLaurentis took over the show writing quality while Butch lazed around and let the new writers to do whatever the fuck they want. They ignored most of continuity and ignored most of the supporting characters. They became interested in writing episodes about Crocker, Foop and Timmy's dad than anyone else. During the introduction of Anti-poof. Anti cosmo and Anti-Wanda were written out of the show with the exception of "Balance of Flour" being their last physical appearance of the series. It got worse by seasons 9 and 10 when they fully stopped caring about it's continuity and vanished most of the supporting cast. Poof even got shafted during season 9.
Who remembers when Timmy turner went and face the darkness those couple of episodes were pretty good
Whenever Tootie got introduced in the live action movie I legit thought it was Trixie Tang. Never once thought it was Tootie

I don't have to complete the video for it to win me over as a result of that reference. However, i am gonna still finish this video because of substance of your content. Thanks for the video!
Wow i never heard of flanderization but its an excellent take with this show, also baby poof was like wtf why did the add it
I agree with you wholeheartedly. It really should stopped at channel chasers since I feel like that was where Timmy growing up and being a adult while also showing his parents actually caring for him was really sweet. Until those goddamn movies happened.
12:18 Fun fact (for those who are unaware), this is Daniella Monet. She was also an actress on Victorious at the time (alongside Ariana Grande and Victoria Justice)
You know, they should’ve used Tootie for the foil because Vicky was making her life miserable and she would’ve been a better main character🥺🤍
You have no idea how much I appreciate the Stone Cold Bret Hart promo cutaway
I miss when Fairly Odd Parents was clever and had a lot of adult jokes as well. I still re watch older episodes of this series, because the humour for the older seasons still hold up today.
So, seasons 1-5?
@@maxmeidl4909 Pretty much yeah. Back when Fairly Odd Parents was in it's prime.
Season 5 was the start of it's minor decline. It had a few bad eps too especially Its a Wishful Life. People be saying this season be the golden age just because it's part of the pre poof era. And not to mention they were already running out of ideas at that time before the poof introduction.
Yeah he's definitely gonna wind up doing a sequel video on the live-action movies. The way the trilogy ends is unlimited cringe.
I really liked veronica. Wish she appeared in more episodes. She reminded me of helga from hey arnold and cindy from jimmy neutron. Secretly crushing on the protagonist. Star from danny phantom was also underutilized. Her and tucker would've been interesting together.
One of my party tricks used to be singing the theme song to this show ...
Banger ...
SpongeBob and The Fairly Odd Parents both should've ended in 2004.
0:58 Thanks for the shoutout I made this plottagon video :)
While there were some episodes after that I did like, I'd say Wishology was my definitive finale, with those episodes afterwards being bonus episodes.
My guy drake bell had bad acting 😭
I liked Drake Bell better when he was in Drake and Josh... funniest shit ever.
Poof: aww cute
Sparky: um ok, not really funny but not abysmal
Chloe: ight imma head out
Poof: Awwwww cute
Foop: Interesting as an evil counterpart of Poof
Sparky: Uhhhh, okay
Chloe: BITE ME! JUST. FUCKING. BITE ME!!!
Oddparents ended after Channel Chasers, after that it's when the show started to got stale and jumping the sharks (although there were still good episodes the magic was gone) then it had a second non canonical ending with the wishology trilogy ( which had Brendan Frasier dipping his toe on voice acting before being Robotman on Doom Patrol) but nope, they keep it going and then started throwing shit at it to see what would stick.
Dude, your voice is incredible.
Sparky killed the show
Also thanks for doing this video
Early
This is gonna be good
I just said the dog killed the show and somebody agrees
It all started going downhill once the baby was born.
Marriage?
Correction: It started going downhill ever since Scott Fellows and the original writing staff after Wishology left. Once the screenwriter from Coconut Fred Fruit Salad Island named Mr DeLaurentis took over the writing quality in season 7 onward the shows writing quality began to drop down really fast.
When Poof talked is when the show got superbad.
I love your use of shitposts as background material instead of just repeating the same clips over and over
Well damn. A New Edition visual gag. Well played
I'm glad you touched on Kevin Crocker. Ppl normally don't. I didn't mind Chloe, but I mind him.
The Stone Cold bit got a like and subscribe out of me. That's hilarious
My personal stopping point is "Wishology." 100 episodes is long enough for any cartoon, but Season 7 was when the creator of "Bubsy" and "Coconut Fred" joined the writing staff. There is no turning back from a hire like that.
Finally someone knows the true downfall of the show. Many people here are too focused on the new characters thinking that they "Ruined the show" when in reality it was when Ray DeLaurentis took over the show writing in season 7-10.
That Stone Cold impression was really good. That moment killed me haha
Correction, Timmy’s parents did love him. But the relationship was, uh, complicated.
Poof was a fine addition. He was not a necessary addition but, he was still a cute character that made for some interesting episodes. But yeah, Sparky was pretty dumb. And the girl who Timmy had to share his fairies with was the dumbest decision they EVER made.
I didn’t mind the movies. Well, I didn’t mind the Christmas movie. The first and third film? Eh, I ain’t a fan of them anymore.
i think the constant back-pedalling of Timmy not getting over his fairly oddparents is a nice unintentional parallel to Butch Hartman and HIS inability to let go of his one successful creation. he too acts like a spoiled child who got his every wish out of complete luck and isn't willing to grow up and leave the fairy godparents behind. it makes even more sense when you consider Butch came up with the concept in like five seconds, just like Timmy got his fairies out of nowhere.
Is that clip of the guy yelling STOP Olan Rogers from his early videos???? 😂😂
I think it's funny how both Plankton from Spongebob, and Mr. Crocker from FOP both first appears a few episodes in to the show.
Good video but more actual dialogue examples from the show would be nice
Cosmo was the one who got hit the hardest.
Who the hell thought it was a good idea to have his voice get higher gradually with each season?? Plus as you said, he was comedically dim. Well-intentioned and sometimes went about it the wrong way, but never outright STUPID.
Well, that was interesting!
Fun video. Didn't know much about this show. Animation reminds me of Clone High almost in some clips here.
Did I go to the kitchen for the wrong part? Where specifically did the show die? The dog? Chloe? That...live action thing after the show was done? (I think that's what you said regarding order of release?)
He doesnt have a specific episode for when it died. It's a cluster of things, mainly the studio forcing writers to fix what ain't broke.
@@moxiemaxie3543 It's mostly the way this series is titled that I dislike. Encountered this a few times. XD Very much enjoy the series!
Studio mandates is what I had settled on.
16:56 Daaaaamn. I see you Mrs.Turner. 😛
This was actually a really hilarious cartoon when it first started..like seasons 1 thru 5. After Wanda had the baby...it went to shit. The Dad was so incredibly funny.
The show went to shit in season 9. But the show began to fell apart by season 7 when most of the secondary character became sidelined and the episodes start to revolve around Timmy's father, Foop and Crocker. This is most likely due to Butch Hartman's lack of interest. During the Anti-poof introduction. The anti fairies anti-cosmo and anti-wanda were written out of the show with the exception of the episode "Balance of Flour" their last physical appearance of the show.
In Deutschland (Germany) Fairly ODDPARENTS is known as Cosmo And Wanda on Nickelodeon
I didn't even know The Fairly Oddparents (and Arthur for that matter) still came on TV LOL!!
Dont feel bad, I'm a 41 yo very interested in what you have to say about this show I was too old to be watching when it came out.
Yeah, I'm 34. For example, Adventure Time is one of my favourite shows ever. I don't think I'm ever going to stop watching kids cartoons.

The best way to correct the Continuity is by making those contradictions apart of a multiverse
Not sure if he mentioned it but speaking of continuity, in that same episode when Chloe showed up Cosmo and Wanda dropped their wands, fell into a pit with Timmy and Chloe and then Chloe asked them to show Timmy her reason for needing fairies and guess what? They used their WANDS that they DROPPED like thirty seconds earlier! And then right after the flashback they went out of the pit getting their wands bam proving the writing and animation teams forgot they dropped them!
Why should Chloe have any fairies when she hasn't been through the same hell that timmy had to go through?
Is that a remix of Eugene's theme in the end?
It almost died with the baby, but when they added the dog it was it for me.
The best part of the live action movies are Timmy's dad and Crocker. Both are entertaining characters. Timmy's dad benefits from the fact that his voice actor is still playing him, and his voice actor has live action experience from Ned's Declassified.
I didn't think I've missed that much of fairly odd parents but ig I did
The day Adventure Time died
Except Adventure Time kept itself interesting through risks and the ridiculous amounts of Lore it introduced. Even after technically ending the new HBO specials are looking to be extremely interesting as well.
Mortal Recoil.
