CAN YOU REACT TO LIL PEEP`S WHITE WINE SONG?!💞
Pleas try "Atom Heart Mother Suite"
Hey joey, please react to Childhood's End by Pink Floyd? You'll love it!
Atom heart mother please
David Gilmour always plays the perfect note you didn't know you needed to hear.
Mike Finney. Never heard it explained like that but you nailed it.
I always knew that but but never knew how to express it the way you just did! Thanks!
Perfectly put.
Are you the REAL GEORGE LYNCH?????
Yes!!! 😭
"Dogs" is a masterpiece of Roger Waters' ability to write lyrics and David Gilmour's ability to play guitar. On this song, David said to all the other guitar gods... "Listen to this shyt..."
Well said, well said
you nailed it right there bud
YEEESSS!!!
Perfectly put. The combination of David's musical abilities and Roger's conceptual and lyrical abilities makes this song perfect.
Cannot understand why they called this a flop? Amazing stuff, probably my favourite ANIMALS
You dont listen to Pink Floyd, you experience it.
I don't know what my first song of theirs was exactly, but it was amazing what I heard!! It either was Another Brick In the Wall, Comfortably Numb, or Time but it just blew me away how they sounded!!!
I'm a 55 year old white man that loves to watch you react to the music I lived through as a teenager....I could see us sitting together and listening to these songs and talking about the impact they have on us....I'm very entertained by your videos, thanks! I'm a fan.
You are open minded person because it was not more than well now about 70 years or you're never even talk to each other now this is America
Same here. Kind of like when I watched Soul Train with Don Cornelius.

You totally get Pink Floyd, you close your eyes and experience and feel the journey. Doesn't matter if your stoned or not, it's a mesmerizing sensation

"Animals" is Pink Floyd's ultimate masterpiece.....and I say this as someone who's been deeply devoted to The Floyd since 1973. :-)
loving it so far
I concur. Most ppl say dsotm or wywh but animals is the daddy of them all imo
Neil Jackson Indeed, bud....DSOTM and WYWH are monumental musical journeys, but "Animals" is KING, as far as I'm concerned. My buddy bought the 8-track upon it's release and, after hearing it, I ran out and bought the vinyl......and I still have that copy, of course....! LOL
Team Piper at the Gates of Dawn!
DrVonChilla I bet that vinyl still sounds sweet. My dad saw the floyd at Bingley Hall during the animals tour and said the place stunk of weed lol. I've seen waters a few times but I'm afraid too young to have seen the floyd. Will have to make do with the albums, especially animals 😎
Favorite Part of my day- Sitting in bed after a long day of work and watching you react to Pink Floyd

I've listened to this album thousands of times since it came out, but listening to it with you it was almost like hearing it for the first time as could see how much you felt it! Thank you for this.
Watching your face at about 7:14 - when the best guitar solo, from the best song, from the best album, from the best band ever - is an absolute joy.
I never imagined watching a guy listening to music could be so addictive. It’s so great to see a new generation discovering what we found decades ago and feel the same as we did. Even more so as you come from a different genre of music far removed from British 70’s prog (i hate that word but it’ll do) Thanks Joey :)
I've always considered Pink Floyd to be a genre unto themselves.
Flood & Fidler ......floyd are like your football team......you’re a fan for life.
Lol. I know!
Dude that was exactly what I thought the first time I saw Joey's videos
It reminds me of when *I* first discovered these songs many years ago, and having the same reaction!

spoiler alert: much of the dog sounds are done by keyboard. not sure about the howling.
Before Netflix and chill it was Pink Floyd and chill. The world was a better place then.
Pink floydnand trip
Just got to see Roger Waters this past sunday in Monterrey, Mexico. He played the entire "Animals" album and it was just fantastic, PURE GOLD. At 75 he still has more talent in a single finger than all nowadays "artists" in their entire bodys. It was the last show of the "Us + them" tour btw, and it was by far one of the greatest expiriences of my entire life. I'm 24. And I'll remember it forever. Long live PINK FLOYD, long live the music with meaning and soul.
Saw the show in Glasgow Scotland took my daughter's and they still haven't stopped telling everyone they meet how amazing it was...neither have I. .
He didn't play both parts of "Pigs on the wing", and didnt play the songs in a row; though...
Cool- you made it happen !
You're so right Joey, 'If music were drugs...' I can't even drive and listen to Pink Floyd!
This has been my favorite Pink Floyd song for over 10 years with Animals being my favorite Floyd album. Absolute masterpieces.
basil fawlty I understand that. “Dogs” has been a song that has seen me through some major life changes throughout the years, so I’d say it’s the most important song in my life, period. It’s also had a hand in some key life decisions as well. I’m sure a song having this much meaning to me is hard to believe, but it’s been pivotal. There are maybe two other songs I can say that about, and both of them are Pink Floyd songs, so this being my favorite Floyd song has more to do with me just liking the sound of it.
@@AlexS-df7qk
What are the 2 other floyd's songs you mentioned?
Alex G I can definitely relate to this. There was a year where all I played was Animals in the car while headed to and from a job I hated.
Pink Floyd is amazing because they have a way of perfectly capturing, through both their lyrics and their instrumentals, some of our most powerful emotions. There is something that can resonate on a very deep, primal level with everyone.
About time man. Been waiting for the mighty dogs
Neil Jackson top 3 PF songs
Wait a minute. The song is 17 minutes long!? I thought Joey was listen to half the album. Damn, Floyd had talent.
It kind of is half the album. The only other song on Side A is "Pigs On The Wing (Part 1)", which is more like a short acoustic intro.
Reminds me of something I saw along the lines of 5 minutes into Pink Floyd and chill and we're still listening to the first song lol
Well, definitely some different stuff from all the 3 1/2 minute crap that gets produced today for all the nice-looking horrible singers that never came closer to a music instrument than a ship to a mountain! Pink Floyd rule and will always and forever be up there in the olymp of music!
Mia Mitten reminder that all parts of ”shine on you crazy Diamond” add up to over 25 minutes
Canya Boom Clearly you never heard of Noah’s Ark and where it came to rest.
The more I listen to Animals the more it threatens to become my favourite Pink Floyd album. Its a masterpiece. Maybe their most underrated album?
Dude, watching you listen to these has got me right back into Floyd. I've loved them for years, but haven't really listened to them too much recently. Seeing you realise their magic for the first time makes me wanna get that feeling back haha. Keep up the good work!

That's exactly it. I feel like I'm 12 years old again experiencing Floyd for the first time all over again.
Me too.
Ethan Hanna that’s it, I’m hooking turntable up again! Honey where are my albums!
Roger sure wrote some tasty lyrics. Genius
After Syd he was the main lyricist, all the others freely admit they were no match for Waters' poetic elocution.
Saw Roger three times one week last summer.. Played all of animals in full.. Epic third row seats in ny
I believe Gilmour wrote the majority of Animals?
That is incorrect Nicole. Roger concepted the album and wrote almost all of the lyrics
@@nikisawyers7559 Dave hardly wrote anything, even when Roger left the band it was Polly Samson (novelist and Gilmours wife) who contributed to a lot of Floyd's lyrics.
David Gilmour pound for pound is the best guitarist to ever live
I love David Gilmour, but let's not get crazy.
bustedrav lol lets get crazy son! Name another guitarist that is well rounded in as many styles? Sure there are some better at certain styles but im talking pound for pound style for style? Ivr been playing guitar for 25 yrs so i know how hard each style is
@@franklinkz2451 not sure what a good "pound for pound" guitar player even is. IMO Gimour's strength is in his tone and style, not his technical ability, which is very good, but there are plenty who are more technical and many more who would be considered "better" by players.
bustedrav his style is what i am talking about, for just an example hes an amazing rhythm guitarist, then his leads consist of allot of 3 note bends, its just about the hardest thing to do, thats hitting a string on say the 10th fret and moving it up so you hear its tone on that fret then to the 12th and 14th fret while staying on one string on the 10th, its a very difficult thing to do fluently when most guitarists are either one or the other if that makes any sense. Im not saying your wrong. Its all in ones opinion at the end of the day but thats what i mean by pound for pound
@@franklinkz2451 I think we're talking about different things, he is an amazing player, and probably my favorite to listen to, but when people say better they likely think about pure talent and/or technical ability. To make a sports analogy, Larry Bird was/is my favorite basketball player and I loved his style of playing, but I wouldn't be able to deny that MJ was a better player.
Joey Reacts: Did this feel like this was the shortest 17 minutes of your life or what? I'm looking forward to "Pigs (Three Different Ones)" next.
Totally does not seem like 17 minutes because it is so damn good.
this song only gets better the more times you listen to it. definitely one of my favorite Pink Floyd songs. SO many cool crescendos.
The transition at 5:30 (7:10 in this video) is probably the most powerful musical moment that I know of from Pink Floyd. I don't know why, but every time I heard it it hits me like a ton of bricks. Glad you're enjoying your journey with this epic band :)
justyo96: That particular transition brought another UA-cam reactor (Tre Narcisse) to tears. So much emotion flows out of Gilmour's guitar.

Welcome to the club man. Been listening to them going on 40 years now, never stopped. There is music, and then there's Pink Floyd. They truly are one of a kind. There will never be another.

40 years and I'll listen until I get layed to rest.. There can be only one floyd..
One of a kind is right.
I think the beauty of Floyd is they couldn't really make hits so tried something else and this is what we got pure music and art not just commercial bull like most bands, these guys worked and kept working at it and doing it their own way and not some record label telling them what to do.
Did u know "Wish you were here" was created in about 6 months? ;)
Thank You!! Dogs is what they learned the music industry and governments turned people into. So sorry BUT IT is the Truth. Human nature sucks sometimes but the lyrics are truths, like it or not. Lessons to be learned or watch out for. I love your reactions and your open mindedness to the sound. Floyd is not a silly band , quit the opposite. They are an intelligent band. I like the way you let the music play, which it needs to do without stopping it. Keep up the good work, enlightenment.

Firstly, it's a joy watching someone who loves music as deeply as you obviously do reacting to stuff like Floyd - keep the videos coming Sir!
Secondly and further to what other people have said about "The Wall" when you come to that, it tells one continuous story, which doesn't mean that it can't be broken up but some of the individual tracks don't work as well in isolation - the original was planned and recorded as a double vinyl LP, so four sides each of around 20 minutes and each of which has a coherent segment of the story. Don't know if it would be feasible to do a set of reactions on that basis, but let's put the idea out there :-)
Thirdly (and not Pink Floyd related), if you haven't come across Funkadelic's "Maggot Brain" before, I think you might like :-)
Oh my God, I love Pink Floyd!
Please, now you have to listen to Shine on you crazy diamond, another masterpiece
i did its on my channel..thanks for watching
The live version.
André Lucas he did- awesome too!
Thank You for reviewing this album!
The most amazing element to Pink Floyd music is that each album begins with a simple phrase or chord, and then blows up into an exploratory project through chord progressions...and emotion through lyrics...and amazingly clever bridges.
Most artists start with an idea, and then try to cram content into tracks made for radio...Floyd didn’t care about being Radio artists...they let the song decide where it would eventually go...not the other way around.
Pink Floyd was awarded for using the most diverse language while using the least amount of lyrics overall. That in and of itself is a monumental achievement. They were also noted among the first bands to be considered “Foley” artists, using microphones out in public spaces (Dark Side of the Moon) with recordings of ordinary people discussing their lives, which is also where they get some of the sounds you were wondering about.
And almost every album included tracks to their dear friend and Pink Floyd originator, Syd Barrett...his battles with mental instability is why a fair amount of their songs are full of lamentations, and borderline on the strange, and morose.
When you decide to react to “The Wall” it would be interesting if you could find the one track on the album which started the whole album in the first place...and you DEFINITELY need to see the movie. One can’t separate the album from the film in their mind - once they’ve seen it. It’s not for kids, BTW :)
I check your channel daily now...
Thanks for appreciating such amazing music!
The film definitely gives more context to the lyrics, but the sound effects often cover Gilmour's solos and "Hey You" is missing from the film's soundtrack. Studio album first, watch movie second would be my suggestion.
It really makes me happy to see young people enjoying and appreciating the music I love so much. As a teenager I was addicted to Pink Floyd. I'm 56 now, and I still listen to the same music I listened to back then. To me, the 70's produced the best rock music. After 1980, everything changed.
I’ve been watching your videos since you had like 200 subscribers, and I have to say - I am not surprised that you’re at 20,000 subscribers already. I thoroughly enjoy at least one of your videos a day and it’s extremely refreshing to see someone branching out and enjoying something new.

Lovin the videos and your reacts, this has always been one of my favorite songs. Keep up the great content!
Dogs must be their finest composition. I remember the band being interviewed before this was released on vinyl and this was at the height of punk rock in London. The Animals album is abrasive, violent and melodic all at the same time. It still sounds fresh, the content is still relevant, and probably more so than when it was released. There are so many changes of tempo, the song leads from one peak to another and even at over 15 minutes in duration never seems to lumber on. Well done to the Floyd. This and Wish You Were Here are my all time favourite Floyd albums. Thanks Joey for giving it the time and patience. You now know it was worth waiting for.
It really shows off Gilmour's guitar work too. I think he is at his best here, and it sounds like him, but also just so unique.

Best rock album ever. And let's not forget they broke up 7/6/77.
Joey Reacts: I would suggest that you listen and react to the studio version first, then watch the film afterwards. The film will help you understand the context of the story, BUT the sound effects cover over some of Gilmour's guitar solos and one of the album's best songs "Hey You" is not even included on the film.
Sho Sugino: I agree that "Animals" is certainly ONE of the best rock albums ever. Pink Floyd did not break up on 7/6/77. On that famous/infamous date, they were performing in Montreal, Quebec, Canada during the "In The Flesh" tour. Roger Waters lost his shit and spit on a fan, which gave him some of the inspiration for his concept album "The Wall". Waters did fire Richard Wright during the 1979 recording of "The Wall", though Wright did play during the accompanying tour as a session player and ironically was the only member/ex-member to make any money off of that overly expensive tour. Waters himself quit Pink Floyd in 1985 and sought to prevent anyone else from using the name. He lost in court, so David Gilmour and Nick Mason released 1987's Pink Floyd - "A Momentary Lapse Of Reason" with Wright employed as a session player for the recording and subsequent tour. Wright rejoined Pink Floyd as a full-time member for 1994's "The Division Bell" album and tour. Much of the keyboard work that he created prior to his death on Sept. 15, 2008 was used for Pink Floyd's 15th and final studio album: "The Endless River" which was released in 2014. The surviving members of the original band (Gilmour, Mason, and Waters) are continuing to tour with their own shows, all of them performing some Pink Floyd songs.
Do you know Waters said "Nobody knows where WE are" in Shine?
Damn, I'd forgotten how much I love this album. Your video sound quality is excellent, by the way :)

That’s some seriously good shit right ? I got that album in 1978 and still listen to it . I pull it out every now and then to turn on some young dudes that think they know what good music is then they go silent
'I pull it out every now and then to turn on some young dudes.' I think we know what ya mean but you sure could have phrased it better, Kelly. bwahaha
nagaslrac holy shit lmao
If ya didn't finish the sentence you could've been in real trouble. Good comment, though, when taken the right way.
You should do their whole discography at the point. I’m really enjoying your thoughts and my daughter and I have subscribed.
I will say thought the the material pre-Meddle is basically a completely different band with the same people
Back in 1990....when I was working 86 hours a week in the swimming pool business....I used to fall asleep to this album, pretty much every night....and, back up at 4:40 in the morning, to get to work by 6:00...... drinking a six-pack on the Garden State Parkway, for breakfast, Lol
new subscriber, this is as others are saying in the comments, virtually recreating the moments so many of us all felt when we first heard (& kept) these records. a band for the ages, lyrically, musically, any way you want. glad i found you & you found Pink Floyd. :~)
& if it hasn't been requested, or you haven't already done it, give Paranoid Android by Radiohead a listen...
If you haven't yet, Pink Floyd "Another Brick in the Wall Part 2" and if you like bass, then check it out. I was about 9 or 10 when I first heard that for the first time. This song made me LOVE bass guitar!
LOL my neighbors dogs were barking while I Was watching the last solo on this
I remember discovering Pink Floyd at age 14 with a head full of LSD with my headphones on sitting outside my father's home in the spring 1996. It was like shaking hands with God.
P.s. it makes me emotional seeing you enjoy this music all over again I'm really happy you get it. Genre is irrelevant if it's real music it'll speak to your very being. Subbed!
Yea. Cool story
Sup man! I've been watching your Pink Floyd videos from the beginning, starting with Comfortably Numb when you were only using one headphone ( which was a sin, btw), like a hookie, and now im seeing you wearing both of your phones, closing your eyes before each music, saying to your viewers: "Relax, close your eyes, and let the music take you! Let IT show you the way!", just like a real PRO Fan, man! This is it! You got the unic Pink Floyd Vibe! You are one of us now! Congratulates, and Welcome! Keep the good work!
PS: listen to: THE FINAL CUT. Its another great album! It tells the story of how Rogers (the vocalist) found out how he dad died, as a soldier, in WW2. Its full of critics about wars and the modern society. Its a must see. Peace!
