My heart warms that all the younger people who are into Floyd don't care to indulge while listening - that they, like me accept the music as the 'trip'.
Thanks for posting this video, and for the reply.
I’ve watched this countless times. Always makes me weep. The passion, control, commitment, energy, integration, power and stunning musicianship make this sublime. For me, Floyd’s own version seems pale by comparison. Much as I love it. This version invades, captures and releases the song into a wholly new life. Unsurpassable.
I'm 48, a later bloomer to the Pink Floyd era perhaps. I love it and am just starting to grasp how involved this music is. To watch kids of this generation and age, farther removed, pick it up and play it with such heart...gives me a lot of hope. You guys rock, I think David has seen this and is smiling...quietly. Peace.
thanks for the show here in Brazil
So impressed. Singer, guitarists keyboards. everyone is awesome
love that the ladies are driving this song!
Probably the best cover of this song I have ever heard. And I'm old. Like really old... old enough to have bought this on vinyl when it first came out. Fabulous, guys. Really blew me away. Thank you.
Absolutely the best of the school of rock students I have seen so far. Love how young people are so into “ROCK” the vocals are mad crazy.
The best thing for me, as an oldie. Is seeing youngsters performing this great music and loving it 😊
I often tell people, the cure for despairing of "kids today" is to attend a _School of Rock_ show.
Phenomenal performance of one of the greatest songs ever. All did a marvelous job, and that acoustic guitarist caught every nuance on the album version. Great lead too. Brilliant!
Tremendous! Excellent effort! You made my favorite Floyd fly high. Thank you.
Anyone else fill in the Dogs barking?
I totally did!!! 😆
And the whistling
i did "stone" filling
woof!
I've been jamming out to this song since the day it came out in 1977. Watching this video tonight was no different. These kids rock, and give me hope for the future of music!
That was a rare treat. Well done, everyone.
This has made my day! I'm very sure the Pink Floyd legacy is in very safe hands! Rock on everybody!!!!
🎹🎸
On the 43rd anniversary of the release of Animals, all I can say is .... WOW! Outstanding job by all. Absolutely knocked it out of the park. I was involved with a Pink Floyd tribute band for a few years, mature musicians, and I can say with accuracy that we couldn't have hoped to do a better job than these young people. Gives me goosebumps.
I just watched it again, and this is one of my all-time favorite of the videos that I've shot. Excellent lighting and sound at a terrific venue, of a really talented group of young musicians playing an impassioned version of a great song.
@@MidWestConcertVideo2 One of the best Teams of all time, IMHO
@@MidWestConcertVideo2 Couldn't agree more. PHENOMENAL!!!
@@MidWestConcertVideo2 That's why i bought the dvd. I love it!
This video should have some million views. It was heartfelt and played exceptionally well! 🙏🏼❤️
I can hope. It's one of my favorites that I've ever shot, and is a _Pink Floyd_ song that is very rarely covered.
Can I get their autographs ?
Absolutely amazing. These kids just nailed it for 17.27 What can I say. My favorite album performed with such intensity and awe. Makes me so proud of them.
unbelievably amazing! Kudos, not only on the song choice (not pop radio) but on the performance by all of you! So proud of what you've done here!
When that song was over, I went over to thank my friend who was directing this show. Lea's guitar playing gave me goosebumps and taught me why David is one of the greats - that it's not the notes you play but how you play each note.
the drummer always steals the show in these types of songs
Well done. Well done! Those guitar harmonies! bang on.
Awesome. WELL DONE! You deserve all the accolades you receive, and more
You all had so much fun doing it. Well done!!!
This is great in so many ways. First these kids are way younger than I was when this came out. The singer’s outfit is an awesome idea. Shocked & pleased they chose this song! Gives me faith in the new young rock generation.✌️
I can only imagine the feeling these guys must've had while playing such a beautiful song. The faces and movements the guitarist makes, how everyone else is also showing their joy and the pation the singer has. Incredible talent and performance
Her playing made me realize what makes David such a great player.
I am impressed, not an easy cover and you guys render it extremely well. I can feel your commitment as a group for the song.
Amazing performance! I remember when I was a teenager in the '90s and discovering this song and listening to it nonstop for months! Is super cool to see newer generations enjoying this PF masterpiece and not just the classic hits most people knows. Two thumbs up!
Amazing. Outstanding. Has always been one of my favorites this is one of the best covers so far
Superb. Such amazing talent.
Yikes that’s was crazy good. These guys are high school! Super talented wow wow!
NAILED IT!! I Literally listen to the animals album every day, the whole song was spot on and the emotions from these kids Is amazing! IMPRESSIVE to say the least! BRAVO!!
Still great. I’ve watched this quite a few times now. Good work. Best cover ever.
What an outstanding cover of Dogs. I never thought I would see young kids performing this live or even knowing this tune! I have seen Pink Floyd 3 times and a cover band (Brit Floyd) 3 times and never once did they do this song. It's always been my favorite Pink Floyd song. You guys truly are a school of rock!!
Pink Floyd is a foundational band of the School of Rock. By long tradition, The Wall is the very first concert any new School of Rock puts on.
They nailed it. Brought a smile on my face seeing these kids keeping REAL music alive!
Guitarist Lia Spanos shows some fantastic work here! Clearly, all the young talents show here without exception a terrific performance, but of all yet Lia Spanos deserves a special attention. I wish her and all the other young talents more than the best. May they succeed in continuing to put music at the center of their lives. As difficult as that is nowadays, unfortunately.
Her playing on this song literally gave me goosebumps on my arms. When it was over, I went over to her teacher and asked "where the heck did she come from?"
Does Lia still play? I surely hope so!
Killed it. I keep coming back to this.
I watched all 17 minutes of this...holy shit. Great stuff!
Magic and emotive, natural AND pure rock. Congratulations!
***From my fav Pink Floyd album! NOT an easy song to play and you all do is so well! Thank You! :)
