So excited to see this one hit the trails in the light of the day, long time in the making! Congrats to the entire Atherton team on getting this one to market. 🏆
So sick! I’ve seen this out and about at Dyfi and demoed the S170 just the other day: what a weapon the S150 must be. It’s the rear that’s so astonishing on the Atherton bikes. If you know, you know.
So sick! I’ve seen this out and about at Dyfi and demoed the S170 just the other day: what a weapon the S150 must be. I demoed the A150 a while ago at Dyfi and for me at least, the 150 offers access to the whole hill. It’s the rear that’s so astonishing. Nimble and so forth, but the secret sauce is in how it tracks, how planted it is and how it hooks up when you need that at the back. If you’re a one bike person and ride it all, then this is your steed (no links to Atherton btw) 🎉 If you know, you know 😊
Wonderful bikes. I'd love to ride sometime, the Athertons are such a cool bike family, I've been watching them for over 20 years. Mega reminds me of Nikolai bikes. congratulate .🎉
Dear Santa, I've been a REALLY good boy this year.. mostly. May I have one of these for Christmas, as I promised that if I got better, I would get my bum out into the hills and dales and get riding in God's green and pleasant Britain! 😊
love the looks. amazing approach offering such a range of sizes, it's almost like a modular kind of a thing. congrats to the team! (the 'no welds' frames are indeed durable. there are frames on the road from the 80s and 90s, some are hybrids of carbon/aluminum before they could mold the complex shapes at 'acceptable costs' )
Love the Park-Love the bikes-Love the Brand❤ when will Atherton’s have their own Suspension/Brakes for their bikes?? I do love Fox but I think it’s time for a Brand like “Atherton” to compete worldwide with full bike build❤❤❤
As a rider who generally keeps a new bike for around 5 years I've always been highly skeptical of your method of gluing a frame together with fears of its durability. However, now seeing that certain parts of the frame are also bolted and the testing the bike has gone through I would happily buy one of these. Especially now you are using aluminum instead of carbon for this model. Good work.
What a nice looking bike. Wow. Looks different than the competition, in a good way I think. That headtube part takes some getting used to though, doesn't look bad, just different. Anyway, overall cool looking bike. And coming from these guys I can only imagine it rides well good. I kind of want one. Can just the frameset be purchased?
great looking bike, your ad was very informative. I'd like one of these for my next bike. The DW designs work great, glad your still with him on that. Is there a US distributor? or a place to test/see one?
Thanks for the feedback Jeff, great to hear we're hitting the right notes! We're a small team here and as yet don't have demo available regularly in the US. That said, if you can contact us at sales@athertonbikes.com, we can let you know when we're next in town and see if we can arrange a meet. Cheers!
Come and visit us at the Factory or demo at Dyfi and you'll see and experience the time, effort and passion that go into producing these bikes (not something most brands can say)!
Thanks for the support JS, you'll find the fit calc and geo charts on the product page here: www.athertonbikes.com/s150-frame.html For the fit calc, follow step 1, 2 and 3 and the calculator will be revealed. Shout if you need any help! info@athertonbikes.com
Welding is dangerous for the rider since the weld is strong but right beside the weld the metal has been weakened. This is the same reason why we are no longer allowed to weld the underside of cars. I'm still surprised how less people know about this important safety feature. If you ever seen someone frame collapse, it always happens on welded bikes.
Thats awesome to be around 4k, which is a lot but that is about right nowadays.. Nice looking bike though, dw link is probably the best setup for overall riding, nice! Nobody keeps a bike forever with the "standards" are changing all the time.
my height and wing span are the same (70 inches) 5'10". Im 200lbs. what size you reckon I need? Currently on a M. Sight. 29er. also love the 12 sizes option. I surf and most companys dont offer all the range of sizes for surfers. Im a XLS (extra large short) in wetsuit standards.
Thanks for the feedback John, great to hear you also see the value here. Check out the fit calculator on the product page (follow step 1, 2 and 3) to get your recommendation, we will just need your inseam and exact arm-span in addition to the height you've provided. Shout if you need any help!
This is insane. I wish i could buy one but im poor hahaha. This is a company that needs supporting. Seeing as so many mtb companies are dead now. Nobody is Nukeproof
These bikes are sick! But the amount of money it takes to buy from The USA just makes it unreasonable. Last time I checked it would cost about a grand extra to ship to my home.
That sounds way too high, no wonder! Sorry about that buddy, drop us an email to sales@athertonbikes.com with your shipping address and we can do a manual check.
I just like to correct you because you didn’t really start this by company you actually bought a defunct bike company. Now he called it Atherton Bike so that basically I guess would be the start of that. Bike was already being produced by somebody else who couldn’t make it work.
So excited to see this one hit the trails in the light of the day, long time in the making! Congrats to the entire Atherton team on getting this one to market. 🏆

could this be my Spartan replacement? or the S.170

Metal bikes for the win. It's great to see builders put this much care into metal frames.
You guys are changing the game at the moment. Congratulations
Cheers Rosco! We're a small team making big moves...
The Athertons; built different!
One of the best looking bikes out there. I love the focus on durability, it makes the price worth it
What an absolutely gorgeous bike, and sick shredding clips. One of the cleanest bikes ever
Cheers BBK 👊
Cool bike and one of the best launch videos ever!
These bikes look even better in person dream bike for sure 😍
You know it!
Sick. I would love to ride those trails. Y'all are killing it
Cheers Buddy 🙌
Good job Rache!

Insane! We didn’t expect anything less... You Guys Are Really Taking Over 👀
Such a masterpiece! Dream bike right there.
Thats an awesomely built bike!!

Your A. 150 with Öhlins and an XTR set up would be my dream bike, in black of course. DROOOOOL!!! 🖤
world beating tech.

No! I love you Rachel 😂

If Rachel says so then I believe it.👍👍
This might be my next bike 🚲🚲🚲

Thanks for the support Mark! We look forward to seeing you on the Dyfi trails one day.
Fantastic presentation! Could be my next bike! ;)

awesome!!
I love DW link since I rode Iron horse sunday. Now I need new ride and this one fits perfectly for me. Need to find the place to get this in Japan. 🤔
You make those trails look so easy..
Probably all down to the bike 😉 !?
It does look mint.
I just wish I could ride one at the same level as you guys. 😂

Probably my favourite Atherton bike so far. Just wish it was a bit cheaper still.

Whoa. I was expecting an announcement in January, like with the S170. Or will the S200 be shown then?)
Stay tuned Kuzlich!
@@AthertonRacing I've waited til January, and the A200G looks promising. Great job, guys!
Looks sick
Awesome looking bike! Any complete builds with shimano components?
You tell us how you want it and we'll make it happen Eric, drop us a line sales@athertonbikes.com 🤘
😎👊 I need Medium. I'll put 1500 miles on it asap!
This has my interest. If the geo is a good fit, which it sounds like it would be, I just might have to check this out for my next purchase 🤔

Would love to see an Atherton all mountain bike with a DJI or ZF motor. Are you working on plans for an EMTB guys?
Aside from the cool bike, Rachel does a great job as spokesperson. I'd love to try these bikes. Is there any way to test ride one in California?
So charming 🥰
These bikes look so good. I'm sure this will upset a lot of people but are you working on an e bike ? as some of us have buggered knees and hips.

Nice! Hope brakes would be a cool option on these.
Hope is very much an option ; )
I ❤ you sennen
For US customers, does it come in aluminum?
Neat

Cheers Nomad, we think so, especially considering all the hard work that goes into designing, creating and building them 🤘
How much is the fox spec one ?
Beautiful well engineered bikes ❤ but I still can’t afford one 😂
You only need to buy it the once ; )
Nice Geo, Measurements, and Price ( found on athertonbikes).
Cheers WB!
That was a fair old script you had to plough through Rach 😅
Patiently waiting for a 29er trail hardtail....
Native Welsh discount? 😊

Awesome bikes 👍🏻👍🏻
Please build a 160mm(ish) eMTB - me and my son would swap out our Trek Rails for an Atherton eMTB 😊
Yay sennen
This is insane. I wish i could buy one but im poor hahaha. This is a company that needs supporting. Seeing as so many mtb companies are dead now. Nobody is Nukeproof
Can you buy as a frame only?
Sure thing, drop us a line to sales@athertonbikes.com or check out the frame only option online here: www.athertonbikes.com/s150-frame.html
Take my money!
If I had money I will buy all of these bike 😂
is that the same double lap shear joint from old robot bike company? They got bought up by atherton dint they?
what a great video
actually makes me wanna buy one of those
great job rache
Im getting Steve Jobs vibes. Top Notch.

yes, it's a bit ridiculous unfortunately. I want one, but the extra shipping price is nuts!!!
Did I just buy a new 150/160 bike back in May? Yes. Do I need to sell it already to get the S.150? Quite possibly…
Sounds like a plan Colin!
Is there a reason why these are anodised, the lugs look way better in raw finish
The anodising doesn't change the visual finish with that raw look retained 🤘
@@AthertonRacing why are they anodised though? Is it necessary for corrosion resistance etc?
Amazing bikes! but daaamn they are expensive
Because it’s all done in house, design, build and they’re a small company, handbuilt quality isn’t cheap
I would sell both of my bikes for one of these lol
Sounds like a plan Derrick!
I'd sell both my legs........ oh .. wait....😂
@@AthertonRacingWill you take a Raleigh Max as part chop?
Please build an ebike with a Bosch system!!
Yee sennen
Go sennen
So it’s an aluminum Pivot

"More affordable, low maintenance option.." £5k?
sorry, 150mm is not an enduro anymore
