I loved this game as a kid! There are *so many* options and outcomes you can make happen it was really ahead of its time despite the bad silly mishaps and glitches, good to see this one again.

Wow, as a fan of the far superior first Way of the Samurai, I gotta say: after not playing 2 and 3 and seeing this; it fucking hurts. Trust me guys, the first WotS is kick-ass.
Spog Zallagi As someone who also loves WotS 1 and hated 2, I have to say 4 actually is really fun. It's a lot sillier but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.
Spog Zallagi 2 is actually pretty damn good, 3 has a pretty cool combat system but that's it. 4 is just insane. Like, they all took drugs or something.
Spog Zallagi I actually think Way of The Samurai 3 is the best one in terms of the gameplay. You could literally get a kill chain into the hundreds with the instant kill mechanic they had. It was a blast. The customization and environment was also the best. The first game definitely has the best story though. I think the second game was a little too obtuse in its mechanics. I don't know why, i just didn't enjoy it as much as the first and third. The fourth game is a lot of fun, but certainly not as awesome as any of the previous games in terms of the tone.
Oh my god, I love this game. I bought it off of the PS3 store after having played Way of the Samurai 3, and I immediately fell in love with it. I played it nonstop for weeks, and eventually got all 10 endings (Including the secret true ending, which I'm pretty sure the only way you would know how to do it is by looking up a walkthrough on the internet). It is the perfect mix of action and Japanese wackiness. Even now I still pull it out from time to time. If you get the chance, buy this game. It is inexpensive and will keep you entertained for a long time. (Also, the reason Jerma couldn't kill that guy in the beginning was because he had his sword backwards for non-fatal attacks.)
The power of the old lady headshot was so extreme that my phone crashed just as it made contact, and somehow logged me out of my Google+ account. Truly Jerma has mastered the Way of the Samurai.
I love this game. It's great. I'm on my 17th playthrough. It starts slow, but the more you get into it and the more you understand it the better the game gets. The endings are great. The "Fevered Spirits" and "Flames of Parajna" endings are awesome, so is the "Lights of Hope" ending. The game mixes some histoical accuracy with humour and wacky shit. It's great.
Those people watching the fight are not the brightest. First of all, you don't want to stand too close to a fight like that, you could get a paper cut, second of all, there's a bunch of other fights raging out in the background for them to watch, yet they cluster to this specific one.
Looking from the outside this game makes no sense and is ridiculous, but if you actually play it, everything happening makes sense. Like, the dude that drank booze mid fight was actually buffing himself, fights are always one on one no matter how many people are around, Jerma reversed his sword at the tutorial basically rendering it useless for that part of the game, and more. There's a little blonde girl named Laura Lita, a female knight captain named Melinda Megamelons, etc, it's quite silly.
I hate videos like this because they don't show what the game is about in the slightest, and misrepresents what they do show. This game is legitimately fantastic - with a large branching story that warrants more than a few playthroughs - and the combat is surprisingly in-depth and challenging, as long as you don't reverse your sword blade. Reversing the blade makes it so you can't kill, and is useful at some points in the story or when you want to recruit people for your dojo. I normally really like Jerma's videos, but this one was sorta disappointing because it's one of the few different games he plays that I actually own, and the way the video was set up really gives me a negative impression of the game when I know completely otherwise from actually playing.
I think I have a good understanding of this game. It takes place in a dystopian future ruled over by The Egg, where all Egg related crimes are punishable by torture and police have no fucking clue what a gun is. Right?

There's even a scene where Creepy Old Evil Dude takes you through his daughters' S&M dungeon with the same casual air one might use to show off a new pair of curtains. Also, I can't be the only one wondering why nobody is questioning the ambassador being 12. Like, okay, maybe the Japanese don't care but what was the Queen thinking?

I did some research and I found out that this game was released on the PS3 *three years ago.* It's no wonder it looks and plays the way it does- it was made in 2012. You'd think there would have been some improvements, or bug fixes, or _something_ in that span of time.
It's like if they decided to take GTA4's AI and put it into a Samurai game. "Oh there's a guy stabbing this other guy with a blade? Nah let's just watch with our like toy guns."
