Throughout the game we immediately empathize with our protagonist Carl Griffinsteed through top-notch voice acting, communicating his anguish at losing his heritage after the fall of Castle Griffinsteed and the death of his father and grandmother. As Carl enters the Easter Bunny realm, we can see the deep symbolism as the cuteness of the bunnies signify the false hope Carl had when he hoped to save Castle Griffinsteed. Once the bunnies and zombies team up to summon Demon Lord Al-Gore-O ( who alludes to Demon Lord Zeraxos from other works of Jerma ) we know that a tipping point has been reached in Carl's life, where noble heroism and pride, coming from his upbringing in the barbarian village, has been replaced with anger, bloodlust and a hunger for chips. In the final scene, where Carl brutally empties a shotgun into his great x18 grandfather, we are reminded of human hubris, and how you can never stop at just one potato chip.
