in your other starbucks video you mentioned you can talk about how morning, afternoon, and night shifts were. can you please go a video about the different times working at starbucks😊
rose sure it might take me a bit so here’s a bit of info in the meanwhile. morning ppl are usually focusing on the rush as it’s generally more busy in the morning. you’re making customer connections and depending on how busy, you might clean a machine, ice bin, floors amongst other things. Afternoon is usually the precluding shift. They’ll do sweeping cleaning the ice bins ovens prepping coffee making cold brew changing containers and pumps etc. Then for closing it’s cleaning bathrooms, doing the floors, cleaning the tea pitchers, washing the dishes so there are none prepping for a smooth rush for the next day. Just focus on talking about making connections with customers and how if something goes wrong you’re happy to figure out how to fix it for the customer ! Good luck!
i had a phone interview yesterday and i got asked a few questions and when we were done she told me theyre calling people around because theyre gonna start doing interviews but she wasnt clear with me if shell call me back or not or when theyll do in person interviews :(
I just filled out the online application and put in my resume in the applications but since today is August 2. I turn 16 on August 24 and I'm worried that they won't hire me because I'm too young. But I plan to call them 2 weeks from now just to be safe and hopefully I can get an interview a few days from my birthday or something. Should I just wait or move on with the process? 🤔
Id wait because I’m pretty sure it asks you for your birthdate on the application and you can’t fill out any of the paperwork to get hired if you’re under 16- tax forms and stuff. I would just wait it out and call a day or two after you’re 16. At least then you’d be in the clear to get hired. Other option is you can call in a week if they don’t contact you and ask about your application but then if they ask when you can come in for an interview schedule it for after you turn 16. I’m pretty sure you can change info about your bday and stuff when you fill out the forms so you’ll probably be good! Hope this helps :)
I hope I'm not too late but you got this! Just be confident (but not a know it all). Show that you have a knowledge of SB as a company and the drinks and that you always aim to help and make the customer happy. Good luck you'll get the job I know it!!

Sometimes the job may not be meant to be tbh. But def shoot ur shot! okay so i applied with my resume. i went in and asked for the gm, gave it to her, and talked for a minute or two. i also mentioned how i had previously applied online but didn’t have an active application. i’m not sure how to exactly check on that considering it’s not “in the system”, she did mention how she was doing interviews again and i think said she would call me but i just want to ensure i get a call haha

Nancy S yes of course! A lot of companies, to offer an incentive to people to save for retirement, will match how much money you put in your 401k- a special kind of retirement account that allows you to either put in money pre tax or post tax depending on if you think you’ll get taxed more now or when you need ur retirement money at 65 (one is a Roth IRA and other is a 401k). So starbucks offers both options and you can pick. Then you can chose how much percentage of your pay check to contribute every month. If you depend on starbucks for a living you generally start around 5%. Whatever percentage of money you put in, starbucks matches 5%. So suppose you decide to contribute 10% of each paycheck (which is every two weeks except in New York i believe but it ends up taking out the same amount of money at the end of the month). So suppos post tax ur paycheck is 800$, so 10% of that is 80$ so that’s how much goes in ur 401k account. On top of that, starbucks will contribute 5% of 80$. That money is FREE MONEY!!! you get it just to be encouraged to save for retirement. look up more info about a Roth IRA vs a 401k but the point is Starbucks matches money (5% of ur paycheck) which is free money that you wouldn’t get putting it in a normal savings account. Hope this helps!! Let me know if you have any other questions!!
Manjari G wow omg thank you!!! Your so good at explaining🥺😣 thank you!! And also I know you obviously don’t work at Starbucks anymore but I’m a new barista and i can’t get the mocha cookie crumble or the caramel cloud macchiato(hot/cold) ones right? Do you still know how to make them?? Sorry I hate bothering my partners every 5 minutes :)
Nancy S no worries girl I totally get it! find the beverage cards it’s better than this but I did a couple Mocha cookie crumble frappacino: 1. Pump frap roast (2-3-4 for tallvgrande and venti) 2. Pour whole milk to bottom line of cup 3. Pour in blender 4. Add respective scoop of ice 5. Add the cold bar mocha pumps (it’s half of that of the hot bar ones) and it’s 2-3-4 for tall grande and venti 6, add java chips 7. Blend on 1 8. Put whipped cream on the bottom and mocha drizzle or from the mocha pumps on top of whip on the bottom 9. Pour the blended beverage 10. Add whipp on top and cookie crumble Oreo topping Note: the same drink but no coffe aka no frap roast is called chocolate cookie crumble CARAMEL CLOUD HOT 1. Pour milk to respective line in pitcher 2. Add cloud powder 3. Add vanilla to bottom of cup 4. Pour streamed milk 5. Pour shors and add caramel drizzle
Nancy S ofc!!! girl I would suggest taking pics of drink cards or find them on partner hub to memorize them! it gets easier the longer you work that’s all!! let me know if you have any more questions!!! always happy to answer them (even if they’re about making drinks or anything at all!!

Can you explain the 401K thing? It’s confusing😭
Nancy S no worries girl I totally get it! find the beverage cards it’s better than this but I did a couple
Mocha cookie crumble frappacino:
1. Pump frap roast (2-3-4 for tallvgrande and venti)
2. Pour whole milk to bottom line of cup
3. Pour in blender
4. Add respective scoop of ice
5. Add the cold bar mocha pumps (it’s half of that of the hot bar ones) and it’s 2-3-4 for tall grande and venti
6, add java chips
7. Blend on 1
8. Put whipped cream on the bottom and mocha drizzle or from the mocha pumps on top of whip on the bottom
9. Pour the blended beverage
10. Add whipp on top and cookie crumble Oreo topping
Note: the same drink but no coffe aka no frap roast is called chocolate cookie crumble
CARAMEL CLOUD HOT
1. Pour milk to respective line in pitcher
2. Add cloud powder
3. Add vanilla to bottom of cup
4. Pour streamed milk
5. Pour shors and add caramel drizzle
Manjari G thank you so much you’ve helped me alotttt thank youuu!!!
Nancy S ofc!!! girl I would suggest taking pics of drink cards or find them on partner hub to memorize them! it gets easier the longer you work that’s all!!
let me know if you have any more questions!!! always happy to answer them (even if they’re about making drinks or anything at all!!
Do you work at a licensed or corporate starbucks?
Licensed store (so not one of the ones in target, but an actual independent starbucks)
@@ManjarithePandicorn If it is an independent starbucks with benefits and discounts then it is considered corporate. How do you like it so far?
@@Oscarchav98 oh right my bad LOL i've been working for over 2 years and just quit a couple weeks ago lol just bc they were giving us serverence.
if you work at a good store that gives you training it's an amazing experience. work is fun and even tho ur paid min wage you get a really good amount of benefits- healthcare for part time workers, free food and drinks, mental health care etc. i liked working after transferring to a bunch of different stores. my first store sucked but my other stores were pretty good. everyone was friendly and it was actually fun to work.
lmk if you have other questions!
@@ManjarithePandicorn that's interesting! I think i might start working next week, just need to do some paper work with my SM, wish me luck!
@@Oscarchav98 sounds like it's gonna be a good experience! are you planning to work full or part time?
How did you style your hair while at work?
So I'd either put my hair in a ponytail or braid it. Basically it gets sweaty sometimes and I didnt want my hair getting places so I'd do a single braid (although 2 would work) mostly (cuz ponytails gave me a receding hairline lmfao!)
Hope this helps! Let me know if u have any other questions :)
@@ManjarithePandicorn Thank you for answering 💚
Isle Of Grey ofc!! I also have another starbucks video if you’re interested LOL I can link it or let me know if you have any more questions!! always happy to help 💕
