- Sri Rajiv Malhotra, in this address, speaks of the role played by Infinity Foundation in recognising the importance of the Aryan Invasion Theory debate and the outcomes he hopes the seminar will achieve. He highlights the need to engage with opposing forces in the academia and kurukshetra to ensure debate takes place on empirical evidence and narratives are written based on facts. He addresses the gathering on important points on what constituted civilization in the ancient times, when borders were not rigidly defined as today but porous. He highlights that civilizations in ancient period were dynamic with in flow and outflow of ideas and people, and achieved equilibrium when the ideas become the dominant ones, thus giving a geographic centre to the equilibrium and generating a civilization. Given the recent importance accorded to genetic studies in the AIT debate, Sri Rajiv Malhotra underscores the important point that genetic transfer does not equate with knowledge transfer and are two separate concepts. Another important point he flags is that there could be many causes which disrupt the course of a civilization and invasion is not the only but one among them.
Rajiv Malhotra then considers the vedic civilization equilibrium and fluxes associated with it. He highlights that it is fallacious to assume that the vedas were imported into India based on the idea that the vedic civilization had an influx and outflux of people across it. The flow assumed for genetic migration may show some directions while vedic knowledge and archaeological trajectories show different vectors. He cautions that we should not impose present day boundaries on periods more than 6000 years ago, for the entire area constituted ancient Bharata. The loss of territory with socio-political changes should not constitute loss to claim its history as well. Sri Rajiv Malhotra also cautions against the imposition of the time periods the west uses, for the whole idea that materialism constitutes the arbiter of civilizational progress is inherently western. He highlights the consequent importance of studies in chronology and the larger need for creating social sciences independent of western centrist methods. He flags the Dravidian movement as the major obstacle to counter in the AIT debate, for it plays into divisive forces which seek to propagate a false narrative of alienation amidst Indians.

Great talk. On Dravidian/Aryan divide it's important to note :
1. Recent excavations in Keezhadi has given artifacts with alphabets similar to those found in Saraswathi Civilization.
2. Both Pandiya and Chola kings took part in the war at Kurukshetra and are one of the 56 Shatriya races during Mahabharata times
3. Tamil Bhakti literature too suffers from faulty chronology. For example, Divya Prabandams were sung by Alzwars around 3100BCE - 2500 BCE according to Guru Parampara, but westerners put it around 5th/8th CE.
4. The only aim of Bishop Caldwell was conversion and he along with GU Pope were very (sadly) successful. Rolling their fake narrative is an uphill task. But thanks to Swadeshi Indologists, this is slowly happening.
When can we expect book(s) on "Complete History of India - from Ancient, till-date and continuing..." from Infinity foundation (or any related trust worthy person or organisation)? We want that as early as possible.

Indo aryan theory is false theory. Our Gods originate from sea ( Vishnu originated from sea) , this comes from south india. Vedic belief originated from south india. Hoarse riding culture is native indian culture and not came from central asia. Steppe nomadic people have no idea about sea and sea creatures. Yes Tamil is oldest language which is continuous spoken language by masses but not as old as Sanskrit. As Sanskrit is not spoken by masses.
I believe there was Aryan and there was Dravidian but not an Aryan invasion. Humans migrated from Africa to India via two routes, one through Europe to Northern India and the other directly to Southern India by sea - which is why you see darker skin and curly hair more among South Indians.

The First Arrival of White Skin people
In 1856, Alexander Cunningham, later director-general of the Archaeological Survey of Northern India was the first man to discover Indus Valley Civilization.
Around 5000 years old Indus Valley civilization had the system of underground drainage & Toilets. The main sewer, 1.5 meters deep and 91 cm across, connected to many north-south and east-west sewers. It was made from bricks smoothened and joined together seamlessly. The expert masonry kept the sewer watertight. Drops at regular intervals acted like an automatic cleaning device.
A wooden screen at the end of the drains held back solid wastes. Liquids entered a cess poll made of radial bricks. Tunnels carried the waste liquids to the main channel connecting the dockyard with the river estuary. Commoner houses had baths and drains that emptied into underground soakage jars. It was world’s first known urban sewage system. And they had a first man made huge swimming pool.
When British arrived in India, Indians had absolutely no clue what toilet is. Even to this date, many Indians still don’t use toilets.
This gives you a tantalizing hint about how Indus valley civilization was destroyed with an absolute impunity. That is the main reason why Indus Scripts still remain as Alien scripts for us.
Max Müller & Rig Veda:
The main reason why Brahmins & other upper castes people hated German anthropologist Max Müller and his Aryan Invasion Theory is because it simply put them under the Invaders list such as Arabs, Mughals, Turks, Afghans and other central Asian invaders. They felt Aryan Invasion Theory was a threat to their positions (Superior Hierarchy) in the Hindu Society. Brahmins always portrayed themselves as they are the native inhabitants of India since the creation.
In mid-20th century archaeologist Mortimer Wheeler, who interpreted the presence of many unburied corpses found in the top levels of Mohenjo-daro as the victims of conquest wars, and who famously stated that the god "Indra stands accused" of the destruction of the Civilization. He believed that in the last phase of Mohenjo-Daro, Men, women and children were massacred in the streets and houses as is evident from the skeletons of 13 males and females and one child found lying in a room. Most of the present North Indians burn the dead bodies traditionally whereas Indus Valley people clearly followed burial systems and there is no evidence of burning the dead bodies found in Indus valley. This indicates that they are different from present people of North India.
Here is the Prof. Max Muller's translation of Rig Veda.
Based his translation on the work of Sayana who was a prime minister at Vijayanagar Empire., Karnataka.
In Rig Veda, there is a word called Dasyu, Sanskrit dāsa (“servant”), an aboriginal people in India who were encountered by the Indo-European-speaking peoples who entered northern India about 1500 BCE. They were described in Rig Veda as a dark-skinned, flat nose, harsh-spoken people who worshipped the phallus ((śiśna deva)Shivling?). Also states that Dasas were savages, whose godless society, darker complexion and different language were culturally different from Aryans.
In Rig Veda, Dasa usually means either "enemy" or "servant". Enemy if captured become Servant/Slave or remains as Enemy.
Rig Veda 10.22.8 clearly describes Dasyus as "savages" who have no laws, different observances, a-karman (who do not perform rites) and who act against a person without knowing the person.
They are also called barbarians (rakshas), those without fire (anagnitra) and flesh-eaters (kravyad). The Aryas were on the other hand presented as noble people protected by their gods Agni and Indra.
Michael Witzel in his review of Indo-Iranian texts in 1995, states that dasa in the Vedic literature represented a North Iranian tribe, who were enemies of the Vedic Aryans, and das-yu meant "enemy, foreigner." He notes that these enemies could have apparently become slaves if captured.
In Rig veda, Purandara is another name of Indra. Pura means city and dara means destroyer, so purandhara means destroyer of cities.
The verses of the Rig Veda says "Armed cattle raids & warriors on horse driven chariots attacking walled cities & forts in search of wealth."
Rig veda portays the invaders as a light skinned race fighting the dark skinned natives (Adivasi).
Ibn Book 2: HYMN 11, 4 we who add strength to thine own splendid vigour, laying within thine arms the splendid thunder. With us mayst thou, O Indra, waxen splendid, with Surya overcome the Dasa Races." " Oh Indra you killed and chased out the black skinned short people from Indus"
The Dasyu practicing no religious rites, not knowing us thoroughly, following other observances, obeying no human laws,
Baffle, destroyer of enemies [Indra], the weapon of that Dasa. - Rigveda 10.22.8
The sovereign Indra attacking him overcame the loud shouting, six eyed, three headed Dasa,
Trita invigorated by his strength, smote the cloud with his iron-tipped finger. - Rigveda 10.99.6
In the Rig Veda the Dasa&Dasyu are one of the worst enemies of the Aryans(arka/sun/day). The Aryans called them “anasah” (flatnose/noseless) “krishnatvac” (darkskinned) etc. Hence it was suggested that the Arya & Dasyu fights indicate the fight for the land between the invading fair skinned Aryans and the dark skinned aborigines.
This continued into later Sanskritic tradition where dasa came to mean a slave while Arya meant noble.
Aryan gods were Indra, Mitra, Agni, Varuna, Nasatya, The Ashwini twins, Tushratta etc who are White Gods & Goddesses. And these God names came from Mittani Kingdom. Whereas other Hindu Gods such as Shiva, Rama, Krishna Etc are Black Gods whose names were not found outside India during those days means that they are most likely Gods of Indigenous people later adopted to Hinduism.

Sir. There is no Dravidian race. I agree with that. But there is Tamil race. That's what was said in all our ancient sangam literatures! Shaiva Sidhantha which you mentioned is the actual religion of Tamils before we were called as Hindus. Even before that, Tamil's religion is said to be Aaseevaham to which Lord Shiva, Vishnu etc belongs. The Siddhas of Aaseevaham were killed by Aryan invasions and it is recorded history. This again proves that there were invasions which completely destroyed the real Indian religion.

I think it is best to use Aryan Migration debate.
How is it that Malhotra can stand on a stage and pretend to talk about facts? Either he is willfully ignorant or driven by ideology. How can he say with a straight face that ancient south and central Asia didn't have borders when in the same breath he argues for the very thing in the case of an 'area constituted ancient Bharata'... what not to say of the ample textual evidence from many sources like Arthaśāstra (XI.1.4) which discusses how trade-related guilds would supply their own security as soldiers during war times to defend areas defined by borders. Or even ĀŚ 9.1.17-18 that clearly defines the border of bharata... or any number of Buddhist tales ...like Aśvagoṣa's Sutrālaṃkāra (IV.21) which describes / defines other lands - where people spoke north-western Prakrit. There were so many kingdoms that had defined borders and territories that they protected from the other kingdoms. South Asia was in a constant flux of warring between different states over the central issue of territory and economics defined by borders. Temples were built to stamp one's brand and show power through inviting gods to dwell in particular kingdoms. If that is NOT materialism then I guess I misunderstand its meaning. Not to mention the obvious erasure of Lokāyata materialism indigenous to south Asia...Were these kingdoms fighting their rivals for a metaphysical goal? I seriously doubt it. As one more example, what about the Chalukyan-Chola wars that raged for 200 years; which ultimately led to a tacit boundary defined by the Tungabhadra river? All of this nonsense from Malhotra in less than 5 mins... It's impossible to take the guy seriously.

Before vedas there was indus valley civilization which shows no signs of sanskrit/ hinduism. Vedas were composed by Aryans who later came to india.
