I met Chagall at a gig she was playing at in Birmingham, a couple of months ago. I had answered her for some answers on for my dissertation which researched and developed a similar system to the mi mu gloves. She was a really nice person and really open to talk about the mi mu glove project. Her performance was also amazing!!!
dude shes so fkn cute, i instantly became a fan due to her personality and she was hella humble too. she looked so alone talking to that crowd :( urgh. i wouldve hyped it up if i was there. i hope she still makes music, this was really good.
This is going to change music. Imagine connecting this to AI... Our dance is almost pure intuition.. Give many people these and kids will learn to play music simply by dancing because the AI will eventually learn to interrupt the motion. Not only that, but it will learn to personalize to individuals. Kids Will LOVE this and I bet you'd have a hard time getting them to stop playing music! You know how many studies Prove how much music improves learning? After, music is simply a way of making math beautiful.
Great idea! And imagine having a band of, like, 4 individuals, all equipped with such gloves and connected to the SAME AI, which takes the 4 dances, interprets them and puts them together to a whole. That would be an entirely new level of jamming... a lot more personal, maybe even intimate. Damn, what a time to be alive!
I'm in love. But seriously, I invented these about 15 years ago, shopped the idea to Korg and a couple other music companies, no takers. They were so short sighted. Glad to see that someone else made them!
The tech is fascinating, and her use of it is brilliant. Talented, smart, creative, beautiful, and a fantastic voice. Why was she performing at the wax museum?
its unfortunate that the crowd is at floor level, I really feel like it would have been less awkward if she was on a stage, but massive kudos to this girl for pushing through and delivering an awesome performance at the end!
well it wasn't really that they were necessarily arrogant, it's just that they were mostly older than 30 and edm usually appeals more to youth than older people
I've been reading the comments, and people say that the audience is quiet because they don't like EDM. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME? THIS LADY IS TALKING ABOUT IRON MAN HANDS FULL OF MUSIC!!!!!!!
The system would actually go well with a whole troupe of dancers/musicians; or dancers singers, creating a choral dance work, that would work brilliantly. As to the buttons thing, I think Tangerine Dream got away with it because the stage was packed with huge modular systems, these had an aesthetic all of their own, and, together with the laight show, was part of the magic of live gigging with synths; but we audiences do like to see something happen, an instrument being played; the Tangs played Bristol in 1978 with Chris Kreger on drums, that was good to watch. Even the late Edgar Froesse on his Stratocaster was a live performance of guitar (Jim Hendrix at half speed!).
These people in the crowd have like massive sticks up their butts. I would have been really close to crying with amazement if I had been there. Chagall you are beatiful.
Just wondering does posible this gloves conect to VR set ? Imagine music creation in virtual world where you etc. can perform in space ship night club full of aliens. And for VR gaming device like this its be perfect.
makes me wonder how the beautiful early Egyptian crowd might have changed our modern culture had they discovered this technology after assembling the Battery..? oh so many days ago..? curious...
4950 UK-Pounds for 1 pair (2 gloves), 2500 UK-Pounds for just 1 glove? Truly unbelievable expensive. -- You guys won't succeed with these prices. You guys need to half (50%) the prices to: 2450 UK-Pounds for 1 pair, and 1250 UK-pounds for 1 glove, than you might succeed.
well, musical instruments cost a lot, i mean really lot, and even if you halved the prices, they are still astronomically expensive for half of the world(even in parts of europe)
today05 well this is not a musical instrument, it’s an osc controller. Nowadays for 900 bucks you can buy a brain waves scanner that can control musical instruments like this one. This is not a complex technology as it seems!
I think she's very talented, however her voice alone is beautiful, & she doesn't need any effects. I would love to see her in a band, or using another way to write music (drum machines, music making computer program, etc.), & see what this amazing soul has at her potential. She's also one of the most beautiful women I've seen. Not sure what it is, or if it's just my tastes, but I think she's a hottie, & love the way she looks in this 2015 performance compared to her 2016 performance. Keep singing, & rock-in girly.

the crowd was so dead........
They were cyborgs...
Hey look it's Dolan Dark
This is so satire... The gloves are called meme gloves and we are talking about dolan dark and grandayy😂🤣
All they care about is it profitable pretty girl or not
Beautiful voice! And what an amazing instrument! The crowed was very quiet. Probably left speechless by the performance I'm sure 😎
Hope they have a patent for it.
damn it she did not deserve this crowd
B R Y you mean "damn it the crowd doesnt deserve her" if u ment that then u can edit it and change it to what u ment haha
B R Y she deserved a better croud
B R Y I totally agree
B R Y is
It is not okay in every culture to cheer and whistle and yell whilst an artist is performing. You can really enjoy something and be modest about it.
You are wonderful! That crowd is awful, I would have been cheering for an encore!! Rock on
It's a tech conference not a concert XD
dude shes so fkn cute, i instantly became a fan due to her personality and she was hella humble too. she looked so alone talking to that crowd :( urgh. i wouldve hyped it up if i was there. i hope she still makes music, this was really good.
Was an honour to sponsor and deliver this event

wow y'all are onto something. The marriage of music, movement, man, machine and maths. Please can you give a better explanation of what you mean
I'm in love. But seriously, I invented these about 15 years ago, shopped the idea to Korg and a couple other music companies, no takers. They were so short sighted. Glad to see that someone else made them!
Fantastic talk Chagall. Was great to meet you and have you as part of our event. Hope to see you at the next one!
she is not only beautiful but also super talented and intelligent.......changed my view completely.....
The tech is fascinating, and her use of it is brilliant. Talented, smart, creative, beautiful, and a fantastic voice. Why was she performing at the wax museum?
Skip to 13:42 to listen to the best music part
^ worth it
nope. boring howling.
Wow, this is cutting edge! And her voice is beautiful.
Lps Toxic Cookie yep
a very educated young woman. Love her! Love her presentation.
These gloves are amazing!
its unfortunate that the crowd is at floor level, I really feel like it would have been less awkward if she was on a stage, but massive kudos to this girl for pushing through and delivering an awesome performance at the end!
Beautiful and smart girl, and a lot of arrogant people in the crowd!
well it wasn't really that they were necessarily arrogant, it's just that they were mostly older than 30 and edm usually appeals more to youth than older people
Tech was over their head yeah. I saw disinterest early on as well.
I've been reading the comments, and people say that the audience is quiet because they don't like EDM. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME? THIS LADY IS TALKING ABOUT IRON MAN HANDS FULL OF MUSIC!!!!!!!

Just imagine the background dancers with those gloves too
These people in the crowd have like massive sticks up their butts. I would have been really close to crying with amazement if I had been there. Chagall you are beatiful.
This is one of the coolest things i have ever seen, she is so cool
Not one person bobbin their heads!!????? That last performance was amazing. Wow!!
Great singer !! I agree .. terrible crowd .... will love to see her on stage with the right public ... lovely voice Chagall bless , Paol
Such a wee cutie! Love her vision! The gloves fantastic!!
Cool to see this techy talk conclude into a performance of Hidden :)
That second peace was just WoOoW, absolutely brilliant !!!
Queen did that with their voices.
This is sick! Gives a new vibe to this kind of music
She looks a lil like Avril Lavigne whilst performing
Madeleine yess😂
Looks thats hahahaha
she's gorgeous
dbltrplx ....👍

But of course she's from Amsterdam
Would absolutely like to see to this kind of show, full length!
Chagall... simply wonderful...
that's one new trend for personal electronic music
i dreamt about something like that on a trip back in 2009.. looks like it has finally manifested :D
Oh really? Tell me more ! So interesting
WOW! Zie deze video pas nu, jaren later! Ik ga zeker even kijken of je nog bezig bent, erg gave ontwikkeling!
this is the future and its awesome
I've seen her before with those gloves. Awesome project. Beautiful girl as well.
Wonderful! I think this technology combined with colourful lights would make a fantastic live show. By the way, I was dancing too with your last song!
The Iron man of music
its amazing presentation and technical knowledge. thanks for sharing this technical information.
Damn, I wish I had some of these, this would be so cool to mess around with. :D Neat performances, too.
Such Beauty yet Composed performance can watch her all day, loved her... The audience are like zombiez.
i was using nintendo power glove in 1992
WoW this was so Nice and creative!!
Here's another pretty one!
Absolutely fantastic!
great talk and amazing performance. WTF was wrong with the audience?! How could you witness that performance and not move.
it's apparent it's beyond
the audience understanding
... beyond amazing alien likw
That was a damn tough audience! Well done and best of luck!
ok, so now can you imagine the reverse :
THE MUSIC CONTROL UR MOVEMENTS
that
would
be
amazing
and maybe painful
That already exists. It's called dancing
Wow!!!! Amazing Gloves! Amazing Girl! Very inspiring!
Can you make dubstep with these
Rove the Wolf Yeah
yeah, dubstep would be just as the electronic song she performed
nope you need serum or massive
great music and really interesting gesture tech for song performance!
Génial !!
Tough public, for sure. Beautiful girl.
super creative Girl great artist innovative
Alejandro Chavez imogen heap invented them
What a voice this girl has! She's really pretty but her voice sounds like 00s vocal trance
Just wondering does posible this gloves conect to VR set ? Imagine music creation in virtual world where you etc. can perform in space ship night club full of aliens. And for VR gaming device like this its be perfect.
this is dope, where can i get this lit mix tape, at least some song by her
That was awesome, Damn I can't believe that was just wow.
love it when she says 'wireless'
This stuff is awesome! And she was too even if she seemed a bit shy. Screw that crowd, man!
Beautiful! Congratulations!
Cool interface! A lot of possibilities. And looks interesting in use. :)
8:45 YEEESSSSS
So cool 🧡
Yeah, would like to see deadmau5 dancing in order ro make music
Grimes should really use this... omg... Thats would be insanely good
makes me wonder how the beautiful early Egyptian crowd might have changed our modern culture had they discovered this technology after assembling the Battery..? oh so many days ago..? curious...
I thought this would include Marc Chagall. Somehow.
Очень креативно!!!
gesture has always been part of music performance. The crowd needs to be waved away.
smell the glove
Why is everyone bashing the crowd? They are applauding. This is a Ted talk, not a fuckin rave party where everyone is on Molly or X.
I want one of those
Wow that was really good.
Wow that crowd okay?
I think she has special gloves that can grab sound waves
What has this world come to 😦
Pretty, smart and talented = great combo, wasted on this zombie audience.
I loved it.. so cool.
Love it!!
W O W !!! A W E S O M E !!!
she is so cool!!!!
that's pretty badass
It's nice, but I guess people partly are pissed of by the too obvious sales pitch.
If they didn't want a sales pitch they shouldn't have gone to a Ted show about a new product and how it works. The crowd are all autistic fucks.
This reminds me of Eli Fieldsteel's "Brain Candy"
Woaow!!
she must have done alot of programming hourse to get that flow great job
such a talented techie girl...no woow from poor crowd..
Came her because of Imogen Heap.
way too tough a crowd agreed. There must have been paint somewhere they could've watched drying.
She's good at singing too

..our custom software called Glover.
me: For PSX?
Too bad the audience wasn't suited to the music. It was a great performance, especially the second track.
amaziiinnng ! :O
she's so pretty
Awesome
على كولت حبوبتي هدر صابه
al i wanna say is Latency :)
