- The L322 was produced in the era when infotainment was basic to say the least! We expect so much more from our vehicles today. Desperate to find a suitable system that would integrate into the existing system with streaming bluetooth, steering wheel controls, and existing 'hands free' phone integration. Hi Colin. I’ll be doing an in depth unboxing and overview shortly. It will display any apps that are installed on your phone that are either CarPlay compatible or Android Auto compatible. It is a Linux based unit rather than an Android based operating system so it doesn’t behave like those. It’s more like the system you’d expect in your car with the addition of a screen mirroring function. There is a micro SD slot but I’m not sure what it’s function is yet. There is also an av in for a reverse camera and a usb for charging. There’s also a built in speaker and microphone. Hope this helps. Ed

I believe it synchronises with your phone automatically.

Hi. Just bought the unit from your website off the back of your video together with the in-very set up. When using Waze as Nav. I don’t get the voice guidance to work. When just using the I -phone alone, Waze seems to work perfectly fine. Is there something I am doing wrong? Also when paired to the phone the pairing soon disconnects but the in-very works just fine. Also how can I configure the Landrover display at startup. Thank you

Hi. It’s one of quirks it seems when using the Bluetooth that you lose the nav voice for some reason in default mode. If you go into WAZE, settings, voice & sound, then change ‘play sound via’. Change it to ‘ play on phone speaker’ that way at least you’ll get the spoken directions. It all works fine using the radio feature though. It might be that it’s just using the Bluetooth for three different sources. Phone and 2x streaming. Sorry I can’t be more help. Ed
Also can it work with any car with aux Bluetooth? And is the land rover logo optional? Or later can be changed if this was used in another car. Thank you
Already answered some to your other comment but there’s 76 custom startup logos to choose from. You need to go to factory settings via the code ‘123456’ and choose a different one. Ed

Do the parking guides rotate when the wheel is turned like the stock camera?
The guides are fixed as that would require an OBD input for the steering angle sensor. It’s currently available from my website. Last few left. Ed

Yes of course but the whole point of the unit is easy install. This takes away the hassle. Maybe hide an extension would be an option. One car maybe, but we’ve 14 at the moment. 😜👍 Ed

Hi Adam. You pair with the car and your Bluetooth aux as normal. Pair the CarPlay unit and in Bluetooth settings select the aux Bluetooth as your sound source. The display will be CarPlay but your audio will come from the phone to your aux Bluetooth. The wheel buttons should still work ok. (I use an Invery Bluetooth) The only thing you lose by doing it this way is the navigation audio through Bluetooth for some reason. The nav audio plays through screen speakers. If you tune your radio to it then you still get stereo audio AND the directions as well. Go figure? Ed

@@Back_Road_Hero it has blue tooth the auk is trough a MMI condition that can be a pain , very interested in this unit. And I would say alot of a8 owners would be .
@@Tec2Nut Is the Bluetooth for music as well as phone? The aux out on the unit is a standard 3.5mm stereo lead. Would that work. Currently I’m offering discounts but if it’s not what you expected then I’ll happily accept a return provided it’s all in original packaging without the protection removed. Ed

Of course. Do you have an aux in? If not you can use the FM transmission built in. The unit has a built in microphone. Ed

All it needs is either the 3.5mm aux in or a working FM radio to tune in the signal from the unit.

No but you can use a radio app, or the original radio fitted in the vehicle.

Do you have to unplug it each time you turn the car off or does the power to the aux/lighter socket/invery(if used) switch off when you leave the car ?
It is the same as the Audi a8 D4 MMI is shit
