Eric Kretz has always been one of my absolute favorite drummers ever since I first heard these guys as a teenager back in the 90s! That dude is a powerhouse!

unfortunately Scott Weiland is gone but this new lead singer keeps their great style and sings it with power and passion. quite impressive and awesome!
Just saw STP live (Australia) for the first time and Jeff was incredible. I'd rather have Jeff as frontman vs no more Stone Temple Pilots. Would definitely pay to see them again. The rest of the band was also on point. Great night!

I can't think of another replacement lead singer... ever... that felt this right. Maybe Van Hagar, but I was too young to experience that as it happened. Jeff just has a superb voice for these songs; he seems to successfully make an effort to sing these songs just as Scott did. And on top of his sheer talent, he obviously honors Weiland with his movements and overall stage presence. They fucking killed it with Jeff on vox in Kansas City at the final KQRC Rockfest in June 2018.
Everybody is always mad about bands getting new signers. Alice In Chains did a decent job, but STP nailed it. I mean what’s AC/DC or Iron Maiden without Brian Johnson and Bruce Dickinson. That’s what they did here. Not hate to William Duvall at all. Love AIC and his solo record a lot , but come on! Look at this! Killer.
It's nothing like what they did here. Brian Johnson changed everything about acdcs sound and it worked bc it was original. This is literally a scott Weiland impersonator.

Outstanding fellas! Stp was my go to for some great times, getting to see them on Skynet gave me a clue on they're equipment, vox amps etc always loved they're sonic asskicking!!!! New guy is killing it....
Its great to see Jeff being a little more of a showman during the performance. No reason not to. He fronts a great band now, gotta keep giving fans legendary concert memories.
Saw them a few weeks ago at Paramount Theater Huntington Long Island was skeptical without Weiland they absolutely blew the roof of the building they were incredible and Jeff Gutt did a great job he had big shoes to fill

I love the first 3 STP albums and I’ve seen them live. I sure miss SW but it’s really nice to see these guys keeping the songs alive cause they’re sooooo fucking great live!
I saw STP perform on their No. 4 tour years ago. Scott was back at that point and did an awesome job. I had hoped he would stay clean and focused but it wasn't to be and we all know how his story ended. Jeff seems to be the perfect replacement for Scott, moves like him, sounds a lot like him and strangely enough looks somewhat like Scott. It is kind of haunting watching him up there sometimes, especially with the mirror lens sunglasses on. It would seem that the DeLeo boys finally have the STP together they always wanted. You can see in their faces how happy they are to be back up there playing and without the constant drama and uncertainty of having to wonder if their singer is going to show up, be able to perform or fall over dead at any moment. Don't get me wrong..... I loved Scott Weiland and we all miss him terribly. He didn't have to go out like he did but like Shannon Hoon.... It was his choice to make and he made it. All we can do is cherish the music left behind and continue on and that is precisely what STP is doing...........
Jeff does a great job and I bet Scott would even agree and the band sounds awesome and tight as ever these guys are incredible skilled musicians smoking hot set 😤🔥🤩💯🎸🤘

This guy is ok, can't put my finger on what's goin on with him though, apart from being off pitch rather often. His annunciation is like he's trying way too hard or something idk, he's ok though the boys sound fucking killer the bass is slammin and the new guitar rig sounds great too
Agree with you. He's trying to fill some rather large boots and it is impossible to do. Glad they're still playing and I'll go see them. Their latest album (perdida) is a great record. I hope they keep developing their sound without Scott because they are all great musicians. Edit... this video is from 3 years ago so he's gotten better.

I bet at least a third of the people there don’t even realize that’s not Weiland… And….they couldn’t find a guy that could sing this stuff in tune? I know 3 local cover band singers that could slay this gig.
Did we listen to the same concert? Did you maybe only listen to certain songs or something? He wasn't 100% pitch perfect, but neither was Weiland live. 95% of the time he's right on, here. He sounds great. Rob was more out of tune than Jeff was here, honestly. Also, playing a local gig as a cover band in a bar is not the same as entertaining a huge crowd, outdoors, at a festival. Just because you know someone who is in a good cover band does not mean they can front a band like Stone Temple Pilots. There is a *huge* difference. Can they also write original material? Can they add their own unique inflections to the vocal performances, like Jeff did with Plush here? Would they get along with the DeLeos and Kretz on a personal level and have the necessary chemistry to continue as a band together, full time? These factors are all equally important when choosing someone to carry on the legacy in a band like this. It's not as easy or as simple as it sounds, by a long shot. They sound great. I'd love to see them live once concerts are happening properly, again.
