Should have a billion hits and they should be in the rock and roll hall of fame
Stone Temple Auto-Pilots.
absolutely!!!!! what band they are!!
who gives a fuck about the rock n roll hall of fame? they put like 2pac and shit in there these days. fucking farce
Incredible live performances! I was at the Rolling Rock Town Fair in Latrobe Pennsylvania the summer of 2001! Awesome live band! 🎉❤!!!!!🤘🏻🤘🏻👍🏻 STP was among the alternative rock greats of the 90’s that set a new standard! And are still unmatched!
they don't fit the narrative
Scott was one of the best frontmen ever..the band behind him, superb.
Yea. Best stage presence is Coma, live😊
IMO they are at their peak here. So good. 😎
Hes above eddie, chris and kurt
@@acesandal3594 Yea, he's in good company...Man, he was a rockstar.
God, I Just W I S H He Could Have Survived. We NEED Him In The Worst Way, Possible.
This performance gives me chills. They are spectacular. Let's give the drummer the recognition he deserves
Eric Cretz os fucking awesome
Great Drummer
They Were ALL Just SUPERB MAGIC, TOGETHER. DAMN.
His name is Eric Kretz
Top notch R&R !
Greatest Frontman in history.
They took so much sh@t when they came out.
For those that stuck around, they saw magic before their eyes and ears.
Rest easy Scott.
Second to Axl Rose
What happened? I’m not familiar

STP. Scott Weiland brilliant awesome just a tremendous songwriter/frontman singer.... Damn I wanted an eight times seeing him live STP, also seen him wit Velvet Revolver many many years ago, Twice wit Velvet !!! Dearly fuckin missed he is !!!!!
u saw revolver u were very lucky dude bet that was great show also , stp4life 👊
Thanks!
Thank you 👍
You’re a scholar and a gentleman
One of my all time favorite band. The drummer is an unsung hero.
dude like a machine ,only couple around like that dude 😁👊👊
Yeah he is.
Ive never seen such a boring crowd for such a kick ass show. Scott was giving his all. He was a little short of breath.....who wouldnt be. He danced his sweet ass off. RIP my beautiful man.
They don't speak English they are lost
One person commented that it was very hot that season in Germany.
That was coke and heroin.
no doubt a lame ass crowd here . especially after watching the rolling rock video.
I was thinking along the same lines.
One of the most underrated rhythm sections, DeLeo & Kretz
Deleo & kretz are fantastic ! What do people know? To critersise ? The not musician's!
Eric Kretz is a great drummer. Swinging and rocking. Those two keep a mean back beat.
No shit. The bass lines are as good as Jaco but in rock. It's brilliant.
@Anderson Cooper my take is that it seems that they were just a part of the 90s, when they were the best of that decade. i don't think that they got their due, outside of serious STP fans.
They weren’t underrated. It’s commonly known among musicians and music fans that Robert especially was a great bass player, and the rhythm section of STP is one of the strongest aspects of the music
Robert looks like a german grandpa on vacation in thailand. that outfit...
Lol, in 1973 !🤣
@@rhythmista7707 last time I've been there, was in 2013. They looked the same LOL.
🤣🤣
scotty emulating “Dark Wing Duck!!”
😂
I was there. Drove about 2000 km to see them, and it was worth it. Every f**king km :)
Omg, you’re one of the luckiest person ever, not judt for attending in their concert, because you live on that era, nowadays we should listen to billie eilish shit crap

I saw STP 3 times with Scott. Once with Chester and Velvet Revolver twice. First time in 1994...I was 23 yrs old.
I lost a job for going to see them.
@@frankguzman6700 you did the right thing
Nothing beats their '01 Rolling Rock performance.
I agree, was at that Rolling Rock town fair & the year after I believe was velvet revolver
Was awesome alright
I f***ing well agree! That's my favorite live rock performance of all time.
I was there Rolling Rock festival 2001 a moment crystallized forever in my heart RIP Scott
Most def, they killed Trippin' On a Hole
This crowd is so dead...they had no idea how lucky they were.
yeah super cunty crowd
f....k true
German crowds are known for being more subdued. Doesn’t mean they weren’t enjoying it.
Look how far back the crowd is… no MoshPit there!
Here in 2019.. I am SO SO LATE... I absolutist love this group!! Rest up Scott Wieland
you are never late!
im seeing them live next week!
Was great btw
Greatest front man in Rock and Roll!
Welcome!
DAMN, he can work the stage. Any stage with such remarkable accuracy, fluidity, and precision. Amazing performer.
MOves like Jagger. Watch some early Stones and you'll see the origin.
YEAH he does that really well. Don't get me wrong - I've been a hardcore fan since 1992...But... It's a pity his pitch is either flat or sharp over 50% of the time on this concert, if you put his vocal through an electric guitar tuner, it's likely to explode so be careful doing that, (joking), but cant sing 2 words without having to breathe in between. So sad.. Those guys are one of my favourite bands EVER.

Ah! Dean's move at 26:47. How he tosses off the slide and hits that so familiar first chord. Spot on. What a pro. The DeLeo brothers are both so underrated. Eric Kretz is too, for that matter. These guys were bad motherfuckers.
*are*
@@endocry right you are! completely.
Agree. You ever seen the DeLeo brothers with Ray Luzier on drums and Richard Patrick on vocals? Called Army of Anyone and was such a good album/tour. ua-cam.com/video/CNJOn3DwgLE/v-deo.html
They deserved a more stable frontman
@@neoninfusion847 you're right.
I saw this tour in St. Louis, Missouri, earlier. We were told that Scott was clean and into yoga now or something like that. It was a aolid act, he was full on in the Crackerman opening, the problem was the crowd, just not enthusiastic. On the last number, as people left to get to their cars early, Scott said "We're the best fucking band you'll ever see!". I can hear it and see him to this day at that moment and it still holds true, he was right, thanks buddy and sorry for those lame-ass fans!
i saw them in '97 and '08, and the 2008 show was definitely one of the best bands that i've ever seen. just thankful that i went, because that 1997 concert is mostly a blur (except for them being WAY better than cheap trick who opened for them), and i will never get to see the real STP again.
I remember Tim Buckley getting the same treatment in Detroit when he opened for Aerosmith . Tim jammed 5 great songs through and walked off. He died "OD" not long after.
Some crowds just suck. I saw Soundgarden in 2013 at an Amphitheater in Indy and half the crowd left 3/4ths a way through. Bush played before them, it was a festival, and they got a great reception. It is shitty sitting in traffic but I usually just relax for an hour after big concerts smoke up, and leave when the traffic is clear
This is a real treasure. My God, the audio is ace and the video looks better than real life! Thanks TheSteved111, excellent post! You've done us a real service, friend. Cheers.
that audience looks dead .
Fuck the audience. The video and audio is exceptionnnallllllllll

@@truthteller9772 facts. But the band played on. 👍
SCOTT WEILAND WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY AS THE BEST VOCALIST SONGWRITER AND FRONT MEN OF HIS GENERATION
RIP My Dear Brother!
Hard to argue. At the very least he's gotta be top-3 of the '90's.
gotta argue with ....LAYNE STAYLEY IS THE BEST X
I disagree with that... Although his is a GREAT front man, Kurt and layne are ahead of him
Si si el mejor de su generacion.Cobain? Venga ya
Dark Slash fuck that there's no motherfuckin difference Scott and Lane and Kurt will always be the best there is no difference to me and there is no comparing all three is rock legends to me an whoever tried to make big difference between Scott Weiland and lane Stanley and Kurt Cobain is motherfuckin stupid as fuck all had there own ways in rock my but all three of them made motherfuckin history in there own way
The Deleo brothers are so so very talented.
Weiland's one of the most brilliant frontmen ever.
One of the Best Bands of the 90s...they were great live hands down. RIP Weiland. STP.
.....I'm 51 years old and have seen a lot of shows ...., Rush , The Who , etc etc ......STP in 99 is the best show I've ever seen ..... The Tabernacle in Atl .......so wish that I could find that show on you tube......
Lisa Gy seen the cult at the tabernacle 05 or 6 great place to see a show...
@@williamwomack9624love the Cult ! Especially the Electric album.
Note: You'll never meet a bigger Weiland/STP fan than me. That said, Scott seems a bit short of breath here. Just an observation, a rare one at that. We love you and miss you terribly, Dr. Scott Kline Weiland the 1st Esquire, PhD, DDS, G.O.A.T. Thank you!
Ya, it's a Rock-'n'-roll show and as much as he moves around I'd be more surprised if he wasn't winded. And, after all, he did choose to keep on smoking. He does seem to be cracking on his high breaks, but he's still loads better here than he was on what was it Jimmy Kimmel and that show in Argentina or Brazil in 2014, I think it was, when he didn't fall but jumped off the wagon. When he was on though, he was truly a sight to behold though, wasn't he?
Yeah, can’t help but to notice every friggin time I’ve watched this show. And that reply that made earlier to ya that it’s a live rock n roll show, all the moving around/dancing I find to definitely NOT be the answer! This man was able to dance the friggin night away thruout 2+ hr shows and be just as crystal clear with any/all carried notes that voice of his was able to provide. Got to see em (in the Weiland era, that is) 7 times from the Tiny Music era up thru ‘self titled’ tour and his vocs were on tip top level from beginning to end of show... that is all but ONCE! That was the very last time I got a chance to see em which was front friggin row right in front of Dean. That show was in Cincinnati on August 25, 2010. He was not in the best condition by far. Hell, not only was his singing really off that night but he even started the show off in a really bad way. While singing opening verses of Crackerman, he wasn’t watching what he was doing apparently and unbelievably fell straight off the stage. Now even though the man did a very embarrassing thing here, what was impressive though is that not only did the band keep playing BUT Scott kept singing in place at that. Maybe a slight moment or so of silence but continued to sing as he was trying to pick himself up before stagehands could even get to him to help!
I think I might be a bigger fan
I'm a huge fan too......those 4 badasses make a lot if sound and brought me much happiness during the 90's. But scott was out of breath right from the get go, and given his pale color and almost emaciated body.....he was undoubtedly succumbing to his substance abuse. All the best lead singers do.....its part of being bipolar. Thanks for the soundtrack to my youth scott....you were one of a kind.
A horrible chain smoker being winded? Wha???
Man these guys rocked, didn't they? God damn!
I think the crowd was in awe and almost dumbfounded at how much of an amazing frontman Scott has become here. He was at the top of his game here in every way! What an awesome show! Thanks for the gift!! 🙏
Disagree, despite how much I love the band. He seems like he is only half the man he used to be. Heroine kills. Rip Scott.
Even if He was in bad shape, we all see that Scott did a great concert ! He rocks 😎
@@jamesonwolfe4128 he didn't become that way completely for another decade later.

James Bond - I saw the video of the RR show and yes, it was intense. But do yourself a favor and check out the 10/03/00 show @ The Spectrum in Philadelphia!
the audio is not original, overdubbed AGAIN!!!!
The Rolling Rock show is totally bananas lol
Grew up in the 90's. This era is the True Golden age of Rock en Roll! From Alternative to Heavy Metal and Everything in between! A lot of awesome bands broke out and reached around the world.
Jay: there was a lot of great music in the 90s, but that decade only qualifies as the last good/great one for music.
try going back to the mid/late 60s through the mid 70s, or late 70s through the mid 80s.
the amount of incredible music before the 90s is absolutely staggering.
in no special order, there are bands like:
the beatles
zeppelin
the stones
the who
pink floyd
styx
tom petty
the eagles
ac/dc
the doors
then there's all the great new wave stuff from the 80s, and there was a ton.
kinda makes the 90s look pretty tame.
Scott, Kurt, Layne, Andrew, they were all great in their own way. Don't dare to forget about Shannon, he was great too!!!Voices of my generation. Born in '73 I was 17-18'ish in the nineties when they all became big.Miss all of them! ps I love Eddie too :-)

Stone Temple Pilots sind einfach klasse .... ich höre ihre Musik immer wieder gerne
Quality of footage is awesome! Watched this a few months back and the difference is night and day.
I think this era (1996-Velvet Revolver years) Scott was at top of his game as far as being a badass frontman etc. onstage anyway. Man he really came into his own from earlier core performances to these performances. We were lucky he lasted long enough to become a truly great rockstar even with the cliche's that go along with it (actually probably gave him the confidence to be fearless onstage) I was lucky to see him 6 times from 1996-2008 and they all rocked! Seen them this year with Jeff Gutt still sounded great but S.Weiland was better and was just Rockstar magic and maybe unpredictable which added to his intrigue and shit he would say. The other guys are probably glad Gutt just sticks to the script and does job they pay him to do (show up and sing) which is half the battle. When Scott was good he eas great and NOBODY could do it better. The last couple Weiland years Scott couldnt even compare to what he once was...Sad but true, but videos like this we remember how great he once was and how he should be remembered! Thanks for posting!!
Bro he was a savage when it was Velvet Revolver
He learned how to work a crowd. His intensity is unparalleled. They are putty in his rock n roll hands.
We lost a good one with Scott...truly amazing performance!!
Pure talent!!
Man I have to disagree to a certain point. Scott always was an amazing front man and his vocals were as spot on as could be considering his ramped up stage presence, BUT, some of his best vocal performances came with Velvet Revolver hands down! More mature and serious sounding, almost like saying "look what I can really do!" Scott was one of my biggest influences in me being a front man too. I modeled a lot of my vocal phrasing after him. I always loved his vocal style. He never tried to be bigger or overbearing, he just did it naturally, full power at every performance! His Velvet Revolver days, he really showed his full range and power! Just my opinion though
I love the use of the megaphone . Great.
Wow THANK You
I've watched this a million times over.it never gets old.fantastic!

I had no idea what I was about to see with that last song. LEGENDARY!! 🤣🤣
I miss the days when people went to a show to see it, get into it, engage with the audience and simply have an experience!.. If this show happened today, half the crowd would be standing there like robots holding their cellphones up and blocking the view of the people that are actually trying to be in the moment and enjoy the experience!.. Im all for the artists that are banning (or trying to) ban the use of phones or at least curb their usage!..
He was a great entertainer with all his dancing and great singer as well. Thank you for the beautiful music STP
