Hello Cassie! I hear you about that the products that they're selling us today are not of the quality we are used to! Might I suggest that you try using Mrs. Smith's or Marie Calendars pie shells, they're a better quality than Pillsbury in my opinion! I gave up on Pillsbury a long time ago, for the very reason that happened to you! I'm also the designated baker in my family! One thing I can tell you is that I've never made just two pies! I wish! 😆 😆😆🥰✌️❤🙏
Those crusts did look weird after I got a better look at them I’m glad you followed your first mind to grab some more. I have a question Do you think it will amp up the flavor if I buttered the piecrust before baking them?
I put it in the middle of the oven. I pre bake until they are lightly browned. Yes they do continue to brown when I finish baking the with the filling. Thanks for watching!
It’s nothing wrong with the pie shells you was supposed to put something like a kitchen towel then used dry beans or rice and to weigh it down without using something like a towel you basically cooked the poes
Hi David. Maybe you could not see what they actually looked like. I’ve cooked pies shells for the past several decades and know what they are suppose to look like. You don’t need to put beans in them to pre-cook them, just holes. The pie crust were old like a lot of groceries I’ve bought lately. Thanks for watching!
I guarantee you ma'am that if you got them in the strings out of there the first time you put the mixer in I guarantee you when you ranks that mixer off and went back a second time you would have got just as many strings out of there the second time and you might have got a few more if you did it the third time but not as many as you did the first two times I guarantee you that's most rings in there but anyway you do your pies the way you do your pies I'm a country girl or country woman born and raised but yeah it's plenty streams still left in your pies I'm just saying
Your pies look really good but one thing I do that you don’t do is I never put my pie in the refrigerator. I hate a cold pie… I never had a problem with those pies being spoiled the next day but that’s my philosophy…. For each is own.

Set your oven on 350 degrees. It will not burn. I promise. We don’t care for Turkey so I always bake a capon. (Rooster) Thanks for watching!
