Welcome, my friend! I'm Jen Hillman and today we are going to continue our exploration of this Beginner Series. Today we are going to be taking a look at how to safely perform chaturanga dandasana, and we'll also be taking a look at the differences between upward facing dog and cobra pose. So this is going to help you to build some strength in the arms, shoulders, chest and upper back -- ultimately helping you to relieve back pain and giving you those fundamentals that you need in order to safely practice yoga for a lifetime.
Always listen to your body and only push to the comfortable level of what challenges you. Remember: it is better to avoid injury and continue your practice tomorrow, than it is to risk injury and be forced to stop entirely.
