WE GOT HIM!!! My favorite character and one of my first video game crushes lol. I've always liked horror stuff even as a kid so i gravitated towards the cool vampire looking guy. Naturally. They made him so so so cool in this. I love him.

Hojo being a bad scientist is canon in the original. He gets most things wrong and most of his successes are stolen from others.

Are you sure he's a bad scientist? Didn't he create the S type SOLDIERs, and the Jenova Reunion theory?
Not surprising (I didn't play the OG, but watched my cousins play through it, and more recently Max). But I didn't know that about Hojo (being a failure as a Scientist). Makes sense though. SE has done an excellent job of making Hojo truly despicable in every way.

The chat saying his transformations didn't add much to warrant losing control haven't seen Death Gigas solo bosses yet... Especially Chaos just steamrolls most enemies. The only instances where you don't want to use his limit break is if you have some broken materia combinations on him or when you're fighting the WEAPON super bosses.

I got recommended one of your playthrough videos while watching Max (Maxamillion Dood, assuming you know who I mean, noticed some chat memebers with icons and emotes from his channel). Glad YT recommended your channel. Really enjoying watching your playthrough. Super fun (and funny :D) watching you enjoy whenever Vincent shows up! Def gotta watch you live on twitch when P3 finally gets here to see you react to Vincent actually joining the team and being playable!
If I had to pick a fav main char in Rebirth it would be Red. Partly because I'm a sucker for the whole "cute animal" thing. But Red is just a char I find impossible not to like. He's always kind, concerned about his friends, dose his best to stay positive etc etc. Like him talking to Aerith about her Holy Materia being empty, and saying "maybe some time with Tifa will lift your spirits", really like the speech he gave the Gi on that one side quest, about not letting them or anyone get the Black Materia but swearing to end their suffering. Another Red line that I remember was at Correll prison. When everyone but Cloud gets locked up he says something along the lines of "out of one cage and into another, but at least I'm not alone this time" :( But of course I'm a sucker for the cute animal stuff, like when Yuffie pets him and calls him a good boy at the GS. Just watched a vid of all the GS dates. The one with Red (and Yuffie) are so genuinely cute and sweet. How Cloud pretended reacts to Yuffies "punches" to humor her. With Red's I love the part at the very end. When Red in his natural voice thanks Cloud for the talk and says "You're good company". Cloud's reaction is to just kneel down and pet Red while smiling for a sec. Again, a sucker for that stuff lol.

Yeah that whole behind the scenes playlist on the official SE YT channel is great. But esp the part that talks with (most) of the main cast. And finally getting to see that video of when they surprised Matt Mercer.
Idk if the connection was there in the original, but from the Assess description it seems like Forgotten Specimen was Hojo's failed attempt at creating what he ended up turning Vincent into: a shape-shifting creature
In the original, he's just known as "lost number" which implies he was an experiment for the Reunion so i think that was the assumption, but then Crisis Core retconned it. Maybe Rebirth is retconning it again lol. But I don't think "forgotten specimen" is supposed to be that old though. I'll have to read the description again.

Finaly the best part of the game too bad that i got the Gallian Beast fight spoiled(Powerpyx uploaded all the bosses around the release day of the game and i'm subscribed to his channel) since we can't have nice things these days.i did keep a save before entering Vincent's room so i can rewatch it over and over lol.
My man crush for Vincent has intensified over 9000.

Me too, girl. Me too. I am one of many fans that was hoping/dreaming we could at least fight Vincent in Rebirth since we couldn't play as him, but I didn't think it would actually happen. Squeenix blessed us so much.

When you look at OG. When he hands over the black materia. He is practically a sephiroth clone (just without the robes). Then comes back after Mideel. So I think it will happen. But he pulls out of it.
