Learning so much from your videos. All these wrestling lessons/concepts are so useful-being a BJJ guy with no wrestling experience. Hope the channel blows up, just joined the Patreon 👍

You knock him off balance with your head. Push it. Pushi it. Then take him down. Grab the leg and push until he's imbalance. Not lifting the leg. If you lift the leg it's very heavy

Same concept with double leg. You push. Don't lift the leg. It's freaking heavy to lift both leg. You push, he got off balance then take him down

My comment won't help because I enjoyed both the B/W video and the color video :) This is such a great channel - please keep sharing this knowledge.

haha appreciate the feedback brother. I really liked the B/W as well, but didn't perform how I'd hoped.

Best wrestling channel on UA-cam I love the way you explained things always very informative and clear I've been working on my blast doubles and traditional double working on my singles to single takes a little bit longer more practice

This could be useful in a self defense situation as well . Very good video I love your channel. I literally watch it everyday

I appreciate that so much Nickolas. Ill do my best to make sure you continue to benefit from the channel. And I couldn’t agree more, the snatch single is one of if not the best self defense takedown as it works well against opponents of all sizes. Developing a good single is time we’ll spent! See you in the next video brother🤘🏻

As a long time wrestler is it nice to see BJJ trying to learn takedowns. I have to ask what is the motivation though?

I tried this move a little while ago against a wrestler much larger than myself (75lbs heavier). I saw it here. It nearly worked but I fudged the technical details having never tried to wrestle before - dropping the shoulder, head in sternum, level change etc. My low back was stiff and I was wearing rubber boots. I didn't level change much. I occupied his space w my hips instead but didn't follow through properly after I got him going backwards and captured his leg.
Is it possible to use your hips to offset your opponent's balance, and then complete this technique as I tried to?
He dove on me once his weight was over me and I sat down in a race for guard, my lead leg began crawling over the midsection setting up a back mount transition. But I sat my shoulders out to the opposite side of my lead leg which allowed him to crossface, blocking my back mount attempt. It got me thinking there might be something there if you fail the takedown provided it's possible to sit out on your lead leg side. ...Perhaps w butterfly gaurd principles.

Drilling this into your muscle memory is a good idea. If you’re getting close to finishing without much drilling just imagine where you’ll be once you iron out the details. Also, don’t overextend your torso over your lead leg knee. Bring your whole body with you on the shot attempt and reach arms out to gather the leg-pulling it into your body. This creates a solid base in the event they pull their leg back (sprawling) so you don’t get pulled under in the event they sprawl. Hope that makes sense, difficult to explain over text.

@@WrestlingUniversity thank-you so much. That was articulate. I do get the gist. I love your work. I appreciate your tutorials as much as Jon Danaher's and Firaz Zahibi's stuff. These channels are my favorite places to learn on UA-cam. The next best places are instruction vids

'Snatch Singles' are performed by the best at the highest levels in wrestling and bjj. Just not many people teaching them. Highly effective, highly efficient. I've got some tutorials of me doing them live coming soon. Stay tuned.
