I was thinking some of those buns your mom's recipe and I would knock on your door for dinner...lol. Just got a Instant Pot but haven't taken it out of the box. I think I will now. Thanks.
Looks delicious! Don't have an Instant pot so I'm about to make my favorite Mississippi Pot Roast in crock pot. Bet that would be great in instant pot as well. You did good. Thanks for sharing.
I like adding 1c of red wine to mine, then add beef bouillon for the beef flavoring. I also toss in about 1.5 lbs of mushroom along with the carrots and spuds.
That really looks good , a while back I made beef stew while the wife was at work we didn't have beef broth I only found beef bone broth in the pantry . OMG wife said best beef stew she ever ate who would of thunk beef bone broth.
That sure looks good. I bet it would make a killer sandwich with those buns you make and the gravy as a dip or just doused on top. Oh god, Im hungry....again. Take care and thanks for sharing.
What size InstantPot do you have? I bought an 8-quart one around Christmas, but haven't tried it yet. You might have encouraged me to open it up, clean it and use it.
That looks soooo, good. ..but for me i am a simple country girl...i just use a dutch oven...on the stove, in the barbecue, or in the oven....i add some dark balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, garlic powder, sear both sides of the roast in the mixture add the roast..cook until almost done then add carrots, potatoes, onions, and sometimes turnips and sweet potatoes. ..in with the meat..then just bake until all is tender..plate up meat with vegetables then put dutch oven on the stove. Make your gravy...such a comfort meal..especially on a very cold winter night...I know these insta pots are just that in an instant. ...but I am old fashion I guess...hard for me to change..but like to see how other appliances work..thank you as the rooster crows...
Some of you videos you use a unique spatula that looks like a shovel with slots. (Draining, slotted, spoon, spatula, shovel, colander.) lol Those are the key words I use to search for one. What kind of spatula is it and where can I get one?
Huge success! Thanks for sharing your recipe. The cost of meat has really gone up. I will be looking to our local farmers. $25.99 per lb Delmonico here in Ohio at the store and slim pickin's. Going to fire up the grill today. I just watched JoeAndZachSurvival, completely off topic here but could I ask a question? What kind of mouse poison does Joe use at the tent? Where does he find it. I have to set traps outdoors for small critters. Don't want them getting into the house. Our Home Depot has nothing like that here. Thank you
One thing to remember about the instant pot is that it always needs at least 1 cup of liquid in it when you’re cooking. That’s what creates the pressure so you have to think of that before deciding what you’re cooking. Also, the ‘cookbook’ that comes with it is laughable. Luckily there’s lots of info online.
You're awesome Joe.... but I GUARAUUUUUUNTEE (in my Justin Wilson voice)....Melissa would elevate that beyond imagination. Just sayin. Btw... when you add a slurry... wait for the liquid to come to simmer, then add the slurry. Then within seconds you'll achieve whatever thickness you like.
Joe I am gonna answer while I watch, 😆! 1st after saute don't turn off the saute just add the broth and seasoning, this keeps the pot from cooling off and taking the extra time to come to pressure. And you didn't have to wait the 10 mins to depressurize, just release and put your veg in. Then again you can just say "who the heck are you" and do it your way, lol! If it was Melissa doing this I would say "the instapot is almost as cool as Joes flat bread, but you know!! Blessings!!
You can peel your Tators, put them in tin foil wrap, and your carrots, clean and cut up, wrap in tin foil, place in Instapot while you cook the roast. I have done this many time and it is the best Tators and Carrots you will ever have
04/28/20. Hey Joe, just bought a Instant Pot from Amazon but due to Covid-19 they aren’t shipping till May 9th. Surprised you have one but I guess the IP is Melissa’s. Ran the video but forgot to make comment so ran a 2nd time and decided it was worthwhile on the prep again. So you’ll have to report on how Melissa enjoyed it.
It looked delicious Joe! Instead of turning it off when it gets done, you can let it count down to the time you need, then release the pressure. Thank you for sharing!
Mum would have done exactly the same bar using instapot...... she would have used a casserole pot on a low simmer, plus an onion & celery for added flavour 👏👏🙏😉
HeLP! we bot ham steaks and have no idea how to grill them! All the instructions I could find were for precooked ham steaks. It seems like they are grilled for a very long time on the videos. Do you have instructions anywhere? Anyone?✌🤦♀️
@@astheroostercrows6435 Thank you so much! i should have used a little common sense - I burned those steaks so badly tonight it was shameful (literally burned beyond recognition) The potatoes and vegies were great and we substituted vodka for the ham steaks... I will try again. Stay well!
Oh no, I'll need to get an Insta Pot when I get out of Trinka Davis, but that won't be 'til 2022:( I'm sure that the Wuhan Flu will be over, soon... I hope you guys can be there for the MN Opener in May! Semper Fidelis

Thanks for watching!
Thanks Melissa for sharing Joe with us today.. You both do a great job with your cooking skills and recipe sharing. Keep up the good work. Fred.
Great video! Thanks!
Good job. Instant Pot is so easy to use but people get all freaked out about it. Glad you showed how straightforward it is.👍
I always flour my chuck roast before browning. Helps to thicken the broth
also.
Can't believe that is the first time you used your Instant Pot. You really knew what you were doing!! Going to be making that tonight here in SoCal.
I love.❤️ ❤️❤️❤️my instant pot. Very handy😊

Slow cooking is a great way to cook it ready for you when you get home from work .
I want you to try lipton beefy onion soup mix with the broth next time. It’s so good. You can add the veggies too.❤️
Yup.....lipton onion soup mix packet and Au Jus packet and brown gravy packet. Done.
Delicious but check the sodium!
Great job!

I have 2 instapots for home, one at the office, one at the lake house and one in my rv. I'm kind of a fan lol
I've had one of those pots for about 6yrs and have never used it😂. Just seems easier to throw it all in a pot together, lol. Tyfs God bless you
Looks Delicious Joe. All you need is a loaf of home made bread with it.
What size InstantPot do you have? I bought an 8-quart one around Christmas, but haven't tried it yet. You might have encouraged me to open it up, clean it and use it.
What is your pressure cooker called
Look's delicious and I would have no idea how to use that device, crockpot or my smoker and grill are my choice's.....great video as alway's
Thanks y’all, looks so delicious 😋! 👍👍👍💯💯💯
Looks really delicious, Joe, as I am a lover of Pot Roast, though I would have used cut-up whole onions.....Thanks a whole lot!
Frederick Moller Same here. I love onions!
Yes, when kids we tried to be first to get the onion, wonder now why my mom didn't just put 2 or 3 small onions in...
Looks good. Trina and I will sometimes save the juice and use it in a pot of navy beans. Good stuff
Baked Russet Potatoes are AWESOME in the Instant Pot! 1.5 cups of water, poke the potatoes a couple of times, time at 8 minutes. So good!
I'm going to have to try that

Instapot is awesome. I'm used to the bbq but instapot is good if you've had a busy day
Are you ever going to have live stock on you farm house, like pigs goats.?
I’m going to be trying this recipe tomorrow Sunday Dinner 😋

I found that at a thrift store and we have searched online and cannot find another anywhere. :(
@@astheroostercrows6435 Thanks for the response. Jenn and I will be searching until we find one!

Why not add fresh onions and garli?
Looks so Good makes me want to by an instant pot.seen thoes in Wal-Mart today.

We love our instant pot. Been using them a couple years. Actually have a 8 qt and a 3 qt.
I gotta get one of those!!
Pressure cooker is my favorite way to do Chuck roast.👍👍

Joe, are u telling me u can cook a raw potato in 4 min with that device?
I am gonna get an instapot. What is your opinion Joe & Melissa?
another good chow down
I love my Instant pot.... try Mississippi pot roast.... especially with deer meat....
You should try xanthan gum for the gravy vs cornstarch.
You can peel your Tators, put them in tin foil wrap, and your carrots, clean and cut up, wrap in tin foil, place in Instapot while you cook the roast. I have done this many time and it is the best Tators and Carrots you will ever have
Looked so good, dammit I need to get an insta pot haha. Better start clearing out space in the kitchen.

🤤 yummy!
Joe...why do you always use paper plates? here, the tent, Farmhouse.... even when you have a meal?
I prefer to use a butter and flour roux for gravies myself. I do bring corn starch camping with me as it is easier in a Dutch oven over coals.
It looked delicious Joe! Instead of turning it off when it gets done, you can let it count down to the time you need, then release the pressure. Thank you for sharing!
I thought for sure that Melissa would be the taste tester, fair is fair. Maybe next time. :)
looks great but you can do it in a crock pot right i dont have a instapot
Doesnt instapot cook way faster though?
@@wilE6764 KNOW IDEA BRO
yes you can do it in a crock pot
We love our instapot ultra
Joe, your a regular chef.
On less normal or More ???

Yum 😋

You forgot the prepared horseradish
Look at the front of the cooker. What is it called?
It’s called an Instant Pot
Not Instapot. Why can’t people read?
Instant pot
What is an InstaPot ??
Ohh, a Pressure Cooker/CrockPot. Hmm 🤔
InstantPot. Not InstaPot
