Okay let me tell you this. I followed this recipe almost to a tea. Everything came out absolutely fantastic probably the best thing I've cooked and I love my instant pot. The only thing I did different was I don't use celery I use fresh mushrooms and I did a pressure cook on low for 15 minutes first and then on high for 40 minutes. You could not have had a more perfect meal

Camille, my goodness!! What can I say? I usually make my own pot roast yes in the crockpot but my daughter just went out after seeing this recipe and b purchased me an instant pot.😁😁. I make my pot roast with the same veggies u did, all in the crock pot after searing the meat. I even poured in a little red wine in the frying pan to loosen up all that flavor. Now since I have that instant pot I followed your recipe to the tea!! Wow!! It was a standing ovation! My old man, my buds and my lil 6 yr old grandson loved this. You can buy your toughest chuck roast and turn it into the most succulent moist tender meat you ever tasted of course after you season it well first. And amen, you aint never lied about searing it first, that's the key, then a little beef broth and BAM. Chile, you hit it out of the park with this one.😊😋

The problem with slow cooker pot roast is everything comes out to be the same texture and flavor. There’s no bite to the vegetables, and the vegetables have been sucked of their natural flavor and instead just taste like everything else. If I were eating this meal, the very first thing I would be impressed by was the bite the carrots had and the pleasant change of texture they offered the meal... and of course the wonderful taste of the carrots themselves! Great job!
I thought I was seasoning my food well…I was not! I have definitely learned to use more flavour now! Love these videos the ingredients are not overly expensive and these meals look insanely delicious!

Let me tell you, once you master the chuck roast in the instant pot you will not go back to the slow cooker! I gave up my slow cooker 5 yrs ago for the instant pot and never looked back! I will keep the videos coming, so glad you enjoyed this 💜

This looks very good, and I can’t wait to try it. I usually make my chuck roasts using a Czech Goulash recipe. This should not be confused with the Hungarian recipe that is like soup, and it is certainly not like American Goulash that is pasta with meat/tomato sauce. The Czech dish is more like this one right here. So here’s my point. If you ever want to try a slight variation from this recipte, then do this exact same recipe but change the spices a bit. You would use 2-3 teaspoons of caraway seeds (Crushed / and that is the key ingredient. You will taste it! One technique is to toast it for a couple minutes with your veggies before adding liquids), then 2 Tsp of Sweet Paprika, and 2 Tsp of Marjoram. These are a good start but you might like to add up to a third more of these ingredients near the end and once you taste it. I would not use these to coat meat, just put it in with veggies before you add liquid. I would still lightly salt and pepper the meat before searing. If you make it this way I would use broth or beer instead of wine (personal choice).
I like to stuff my roast with fresh cloves of garlic before searing. I’ve never tried it with red wine, along with all the tips and tricks you used, but I’ll try that for my next roast 🤤

I sooo wish I had your roast right in front of me right now, because watching you cook the roast in an instapot made me very hungry. Sometimes, the roasts around where I live, don't have a lot of marbling, but they do have grisle areas. Like your seasoning components too.

Absolutely love stainless steel, and will not use a coated product again.This pot has many settings and many buttons, and i need to sit down with a manual to figure out which setting to use. I used the basic functions, and even though i am not technologically skilled, i turned it on and assembled it without any help.Very satisfied with this product overall.
