You are Great, and don't stress ugly comments. If you get any, they are just jealous. I just stumbled on this video, but I hit the button because of your great personality and sense of humor. I can't wait to try this recipe and others. Thanks for posting and for the parchment tip. I have always used foil, but my husband feels like you. He does not like chemicals in food, so I will try the parchment from here on out! Thanks again!
I've made this twice and its the best pot roast I've ever eaten!! modifications- I don't add the mushrooms and I use sweet red wine and it's amazing!!!
I know this is an old video, but I found and subscribed to your channel today! In addition I am going to make this dinner for my husband today, and it’s Wednesday!! Whoop Whoop! Slurry is the word of the day (and thickened). Great instruction with two delightful and funny individuals 🩷💙
I made this, and my husband was thrilled! He said it was as good, if not better than his mama’s (it takes a lot for a man to say someone else’s cooking could be better than his mama’s). It was my first time making a roast, and I’ll definitely be making it again!
I subscribed instantly after you spoke of someone saying you shouldn’t say slurry and you proceeded to say it over & over. I’m cooking this tomorrow, already have everything I need, however, I will put 1/4 cup of prepared horseradish over the beef after it is browned just before the lid is put on.
This was so delicious! I made the mistake of not listening to you Olena, and adding my potatoes and carrots to a 6 quart pot and it wouldn't come to pressure. I took the veggies out and followed your tips and it came out great! Thank you! PS . I have never made a tender roast before!
Wow...Chudovo! My roast turned out perfect, as did the vegetables wrapped in parchment (great tip). Very tasty, the best recipe on youtube that I have tried so far for pot roast! Loved adding wine to the ingredients, because once the bottle is open...well you have to finish it, which of course made preparations much more fun!
Don't 'steer' is my favorite one whem making your spaghetti. Now I have to make a winey roast with slurry tonight. Seriously. It's happening! Will edit my post to say how it turned out. Can't wait.
I recently bought my 6qt Instantpot, made breaded fried chicken & "stacked" fries first. came across a pot roast pack at Walmart today on sale so it's a good time to make a roast! So I happen to find you and went pretty much by yours..I'll let you know how it goes! Great vid, and your funny too! (we talk a whole lot different here in the south!
Have just found your fun and informative channel after getting my new IP last week. Will definitely be trying this delicious looking recipe next. Just hope it comes out like yours🤞
Just became a subscriber - sooooo glad I found you guys! I made your beef stew & it was, as you said, delish!! I've shared your link with several of my friends as well. Have picked up a ton of fantastic IP tips which are truly helpful. Love to see you laughing & enjoying yourselves.......enjoy the season with your family & friends & see you next year!!
iFOODreal I will! I didn’t get it done yesterday as I was very tired and lost too much time watching recipe videos lol, but I got the space for it in my kitchen cleared so there was some progress. Today will be the day. Going to do either a beef stew or a pot roast. It seems a bit of a waste of a gorgeous piece of brisket to dice it up for stew, but it’s winter here so stew is really tempting. I have pumpkin I want to add to it so I think I’ll need to do it in 2 parts even as stew. Then will do corned beef and cabbage. Also want to try eggs and chicken stock. So that’s week 1 covered lol.
My husband & I wanted to get in on the Instant Pot craze! We were looking for more info & healthy recipes & found your channel on UA-cam! I love the fact that you also give us the nutrition information for your recipes since I’m also trying to lose weight. Thanks for sharing!
Sorry to disagree but solidly frozen beef roast ABSOLUTELY sears perfectly and beautifully! There is not one single problem with searing frozen meat. As a homeschooling mom of 8, I frequently have to quickly make dinner and frozen meat may be my only option. I promise there is never more than an extra minute or 2 required to seat meat straight from the freezer.
This was great. I am so glad you have the same buttons on your instant post as I do. I get confused when the buttons are not the same or they are labeled differently. I am not a great cook so I need something very easy. I am crossing my fingers. Will let you know how it turned out.
Followed your recipe with a few modifications (leeks and brown onion, added parsnips to vege). 6 court instant pot, 1.5 lb sirloin. The outcome was delicious but potatoes were mushy :( Next time will cook vege after meat, in same broth. TFS!!
I have this cooking in my instant pot right now.. looks delicious!! And you just keep right on saying the word SLURRY all you want! 😂 wth is wrong with people picking apart the word ‘slurry’?! People are so ridiculous! 🤨 Slurry is the best description to describe water and corn starch..
Thanks! Also, I noticed in the video you said you had added paprika. But I didn’t see that in the description. How much paprika do you use? OH. And if I don’t have wax paper would you recommend just putting them in later so they don’t fall apart?
Can I just say you make these so easy!! I am totally domestically challenged and that includes cooking. Seriously I do not cook at all. I had to have a friend explain what browning was. That is how bad! LOL!! But honestly i was able to make your beef stew twice already. Only thing I have made in my instant pot! LOL!! so going to try this one too. Do you have a chicken noodle recipe?

Thank you for your kind words.
I started with your beef stew and it was wonderful. Doing roast now. You are one of my favorite people. Love your personality and sense of humor!

This is the BEST instant pot pot roast recipe I’ve EVER tasted!!! Thank you for posting it!
That is a great trick with the parchment paper! I’ll have to try it. Thanks

Sounds delish! Enjoy!
I will make a delicious SLURRY with broth…. Very thick 😂
Made this again for the 3rd time, and it's the only way I'll cook roast beef again. Amazing and yummy. 👍👍
Amazing! So glad 😘
I came across you by accident. You are so fun. Getting ready to make this. Good idea about the parchment paper, I didn't know that. Thanks.
Just finished it (2nd instant pot dish I’ve ever made). Delicious!! Thx!
This Woman is too much FUN!
Thanks for the lesson, and Happy Thanksgiving!

:) I do it myself a lot - not listen to myself. :) Glad it worked out at the end. :)

That looks awesome and I’m going to try it but could you include the measurements of each ingredient for the dry rub? Thank you!!

@@ifoodreal Made this last night and it was a huge hit! Hubby loved it, so thanks to you, this will be the only way I'll make roast beef from now on.
Thank you for this great recipe!!
Great video with alot of needed information!😁
Slurry Slurry Slurry .... that’s right you say it! 😂 awe so glad I found your channel :) Can’t wait to make this tonight for me and hubby 💕
Love this recipe. Has anyone tried it in the crock pot? family member doesn't have instant pot and want them to try it.
Sure you can cook it in a crockpot for 8-10 hours on low. Brown first in a skillet.
Thanks for this video. We love beef stew so so much. I have to cook beef this way next time. Happy Holidays!
For sure. Please let me know how you like it. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you too!

Hi Olena! What an awesome meal this is! Love your sense of humour! What part of Canada are you filming from?
Magic Vancouver Island. 🌲🌊☀️

As a Brit the correct way to say worcestershire sauce is to say it like it's spelt wuster. So we say wuster sauce. 😃
Good for You! Slurry Slurry Slurry Slurry!!! You are in my thoughts for You and your family in Ukraine.
Thank you! English is not my first language and I am proud of it haha.
You are adorable! Thanks so much. I have a 3 qt so hoping I can make this with less ingredients. ❣️ Merry Christmas
😁 Yes I think you can fit 2-3 lbs roast without veggies in 3 quart. Merry Christmas to you too, Yvette!
iFOODreal thank you so much!
Slurry thickens. slurry, slurry, thickens, thickens.
It looks great because you thickened with slurry.
Where did you get Henry???
Is it ok to use it if my inpot brand is smaller than yours?
I too MUST have a browned / seared pit roast before cooking. I have never, ever had ANY problem browning frozen meat. Try again Friend.
good cooking
Where can I get Henry? Love idea of not damaging cabinets.
Henry is on Amazon :) amzn.to/2mu2TOu We share links under the video in description usually.
I dont have any wine, so I used some Guinness. its in the pot right now. We'll see :)
I have been on the edge of my seat for two months
what is the seasoning recipe
I like the word slurry lol
I love that you didn’t add any toxic packaged ingredients like bouillon or broth with preservatives, artificial ingredients and chemicals.
Haha thank you! Hope you enjoyed!!
Have you tried using soy sauce instead of Worcestershire sauce?
You can. Gonna be yummy.
Another tip for non mushy veggies is to cook roast for 40 mins, then cook veggies 20 minutes.
great tip!
Looks good. But where can I get a harry lol
Canada eh!!
Thank you for the delightful presentation. I wonder why someone told you you shouldn't use the word "slurry". It's a perfectly legitimate word.
He or she didn’t like the way I pronounce it. Must be because he or she can speak perfect Ukrainian or Russian or just know 5 languages fluently. :)
Is there something else you can use besides wine?
Absolutely! You can up the amount of broth or use tomato paste and soy sauce along with the broth instead.
Thanks! Also, I noticed in the video you said you had added paprika. But I didn’t see that in the description. How much paprika do you use?
OH. And if I don’t have wax paper would you recommend just putting them in later so they don’t fall apart?

Perfect! Well Instant Pot makes many things easy. Yes I have it ua-cam.com/video/i5d7LP6hPiE/v-deo.html
Chuck is a little hard to slice across the grain since the grain runs every which way.
Making this tonight. Hope you guys are safe in ukraine.
Let me know how it goes! Thank your well wishes 😊 I am located in Canada but have family in Ukraine
Or you can put in the vegetables in at the last 3-4 minutes and they should come out great.
What if I don't have red wine and don't want to buy a bottle just for the recipe? Is there anything else that'll work?
Beef broth.
@@ifoodreal Thanks! I'm trying this recipe tonight!
Brewed coffee works. It helps to flavor and tenderize the meat. And once it’s cooked it doesn’t taste like coffee.
Please send me the link
It is a steam diverter amzn.to/2mu2TOu
this was great! I want to move to Ukraine ....are all Ukrainians so fun? Love that you obviously got into your wine 2/3 way through the video :)
No, you don’t want to move there. That’s why I’m here. It’s pretty but life is tough.
@@ifoodreal , where are you in Canada ?? I am 2 hours east of Toronto
Replacement came in less than 2 weeks!
If u cook the potatoes with the roast at the same time the potatoes will get to soft
Doesn’t the parchment have wax on it?
Not sure.
You can buy it without wax
What is that toy called to the cabinets

Where is the actual recipe and directions listed?
Hi Bisque, you can see ingredients below in description, there is a link as well to full recipe post:) Hopefully you will find it 👍👌
Of COURSE, you use the word Slurry. Good grief people.
Slurry...!! SLURRY......SLURRY...!!!
The paprika amount is missing from you list of ingredients
Poor Henry

it may be tender, but it looks dry as hell
DELICIOSO
Slurry, slurry, slurry.
Meat looks really dry.
Meat was moist! Fabulous recipe. Never used parchment paper before. It worked very well!
Loved this recipe. I made it last night. Parchment paper was a great idea! Thanks...
