It's only just now that I've realised that's not Andy's house lol! You can see the creases in the sheet that's behind him! Oh man... had me fooled for so long :P Your videos are absolutely incredible Andy, I've used them to buy my FX Dreamline .177 and my Oh so beloved Glock 17 Gen 4 (Umarex). Thanks for all you've done for the sport and industry!
The obsession with "Star" in the naming is a nod to the old BSA motorcycles which often had star in their name, such as Goldstar, and Empire Star, and even Star fire.
I worked for a company many moons ago, they had a pidgeon problem, just a few that flew in,they knew i could shoot and i agreed to help, they said they would pay me extra for the help, after just 2 i couldn't do it anymore after the guilt set in ! i'm just happy shooting inanimate things ! the rifle i had at the time was a BSA super meteor (with a scope)
Just going to throw it out there. Yes they are clearly H&N in the same way FX and Daystate are the same as JSB and Air Arms. However, my R10th in a 177 hated all the pellets, spat them all over the card. With the exception of the Silverstar, they were 5p 10 shot groupings at 30 yards all day long. Andy is absolutely right the wand chooses the wizard. Buy a sample pack and see what happens.
Yea mate I was about to say he same they are all h&n pellets even the tin sizes are the same lol if the price is right then no complaint really.. my cp2 loves the h&n field target and barracuda range .. once again Andy base done some great work and that r10 of his is like a laser lol might have to get a gas to 18ftlb lol
I also am aware and was as soon as I saw this video , that these are all H&N reebranded pellets, but they are cheaper, I've only tried the Green stars, and my .22 R10 SE was at first terrible with them, un till I realized it wasn't the gun or the pellets ! it was me at 25 meters I was easily able to get 5 pence groups of ten shots. I didn't find they were any faster than a 14 grain lead pellet and they only achieved around 10.3 ft/lb , I already know that the H&N Terminators are extremely accurate in my R10 , so therefore the Silverstars will also be. I haven't been overly impressed by other H&N pellets and therefore will not try the Goldstar as I already know that JSB Exact Jumbos will work better. All barrels are different and some will like them and some won't but at the end of the day, if your gun likes H&N buy BSA as they are cheaper but exactly the same :).
Tried BSA pellets twice, last lot about 10 years ago ''Storm'' i think they were called. Total rubbish!! my 2 super 10s hated them, only use AA field, all my BSAs love them & even my Steyr Hunter 5 is laser accurate using them. Now pellets are not 50p for 500 like they were when i was a kid, i'm not wasting £12 a tin!
Yes more and more air gun manufacturer are selling pellets with their name on the tin, but they don't have the factory to make them. Obviously these are re-branded H&N pellets: weights / packages are the same but for the stickers. That's quite fun to see a Gamo owned company, BSA, reselling pellets from H&N. This says a lot about what Gamo thinks of its own pellets.
That actually do sound funny.. I did not know these pellets by H&N - but I surely have liked Gamo pellets myself - even though most serious shooters probably prefer H&N pellets.
@@dimasakbar7668 😁 Yea. Kinda gotten that impression myself also over the years - when watching videos of more expensive PCP rifles at least.. I am though mostly a replica co2 pistol shooter myself. No exact top accuracy needed - nor more expensive pellets.

I really enjoy your videos & appreciate the time & effort you put into your reviews. I am very keen to get back into airgun target shooting after many years away & your knowledge, passion & honest reviews are greatly appreciated... ...I really regret selling my Crosman Air-17 177 rifle I got new as a 12 or 13 year old lad back in the mid 80's. It was pretty accurate for a low powered beginner gun & great fun with it's 4x mag pellet clip. Helped me to learn how to shoot better & really helped me breeze through my Air Cadet .22 marksman grouping badge at the local range.
Thanks Andy, BSA sent me some sample packs which I had mixed results with the exception on the gold star and green star which were fairly consistent. I will give when another go in a different gun, as you say the barrel chooses it pellets.
Again, another very informative (and non-biased) video. However, I would have liked to see how they react in a sub 12 (non FAC) BSA R10 at 40 yards to see which ones please the .177 barrel of my BSA R10 se. I can't seem to get hold of the sample pack to try them out against my R10's favoured pellet, the QYS Domed or the QYS Streamlined.
Hi Andy, I have been watching your very informative videos for a long time now. Are you able to find out any information regarding the proposed lead ban for ammunition and what this means for the average airgunner ?
Others may find BSA pellets viable, but my personal experience agrees with Andy's statement regarding pellet choice and how they may or may not suit your gun... ... To be honest, my personal experience with BSA brand pellets isn't that good; The BSA storm pellets I bought for my .177 seem fairly accurate, but not what I would deem pest control quality, whereas the BSA elite's I bought for my .22 were... odd. I've got my .22 pcp hybrid zeroed well enough at 25 yards to get a very nice grouping with every other pellet brand I have used, yet the "elites" shot a minimum of a foot to the left and the grouping was... inconsistent. They were barely good enough for shooting random junk in the garden, (tin cans and whatever else I can find) but I would NEVER consider using them for pest control!
I'd be interested to know how closely these and other pellets match (or fail to match) the weight claimed on the tin, and how consistent is the weight of pellets within a tin and between batches. I used to always weigh a number from any tin I bought so I had an idea of what I was shooting simply because I often found there could be a noticeable difference between one purchase and the next. Sure, these are clearly H&N pellets and can probably be relied upon to have good quality control, but I've sometimes seen a considerable difference even in "name" brands.

I suspect my new HW100 in 177 is not delivering the power I need from sub 12 ft , what s the best & easiest way to check if its a faulty model. Also, in the box came a small box containing two large brass threaded heads with various small o'rings attached ! What are the used for?
Fancy shooting two of my old vintage airguns for accuracy and a laugh?? I have a ASI sniper in 22 and a Diana G80 in 177. The Diana I'm Certain is unmolested, however the ASI had new seals and a Titan spring fitted. It would make an interesting video and show the difference between expectations of old airguns vrs new airguns, also it could possibly show why tinkering is either right or wrong (the original ASI spring is available for refitting, if needed). It would be nice to see these two used in the hands of someone like you. 👍🏻👍🏻
I am by no means a keyboard sniper, but I get the distinct feeling that with all the testing done on PCP rifles, it seems that the poor cousin, the springer does not warrant any say now-a-days.... believe it or not the springer rifle still does exist and is owned by more peole than what own PCPs so why no pellet testing done on springers? hahahaha
I'm an occasional air rifle shooter purely for vermin control. I have & still do use lead pellets, But I shouldn't & nor should anyone else. I'm in no way a scientific person but I have seen at first hand the effect of lead on a handful of people who unknowingly have been exposed to lead in their water & it's not good. The same applies to wildlife, especially in the water fowling world where lead is still the preferred choice. It's got to change, the lead needs to go. Give the birds a chance not to have their brains addled by lead poisoning then maybe you'll get a better days shooting, or is that murdering! I am and always will be against hunting for the sake of hunting. Live & let Live & we'll all be happy. 👍
everyone who shoots plinking or target should always shoot in een pellet trap or berm to recover the lead ,then it can be recycled .and no lead problem then. the fta targets should be in a wooden box or someting where no lead splash gets in the nature . al you tubers who shoots in free nature ,are digging a lead ban themself. Be wise tho keep the sport
As others have said, just rebranded H&N. I wonder how they would be in a target rifle. Over to Andy, the review on a dedicated target rifle, coming soon?
Pellet smple packs are a good thing. I still have not found my preferred pellet of choice for my Sig Virtus .22 PCP.. Approx 3" groups at a distance of 30 meters. Tested RWS Hobbys, 3 different Gamos 2 different H&Ns....all about the same. Surprisingly the H&Ns (Baracuda Green and Sniper Light) being the worst performing. RWS Hobby pellets been best (and cheapest) so far..

Is this a BSA branding exercise for other manufacture's pellets?
Should do well in Gamo barrels
H&N with BSA logo
if you have a good product, how do you make it seem better, slap a quality name on it.
H&N with new stickers, another option if you shoot them and your supplier is short on stock.
As others have said, just rebranded H&N. I wonder how they would be in a target rifle. Over to Andy, the review on a dedicated target rifle, coming soon?
Andy my artimis pr900w pcp shoots jsb hades 10.34 grans at 1050 FPS and they shoot acuratly but this .177 pcp of mine is 27 ft lbs
Try the fx pellets
@@simonnoble7589 Thanks for the tip!😊👍 I'll then try finding some.
@@brorjordas1979 have a good day
@@handlesarefeckinstupid I do have noticed way many experienced airgunners to prefer them JSBs. They just can't be bad pellets. Although, I think I've seen comments about poor batches also at some point..
@@brorjordas1979 id say that was on par with accupell ...5p size grouping in 14 shots at 30 yards with a wh100 sporter 177 on a bench rest , although as you say you've got to look out for the odd misshapen one
How about trying these through springers mate??
Black Star Riders. Rock Band.
Kral puncher breakers. 1,77. What are your vo
I'd like to see a .22 pellet review in a gun that has 35 fpe, that would be helpful. 🙂
AAR -- All of these are H&N pellets rebranded as BSA. They all use the same stock photo that H&N's have on their tins. C'mon Andy your really reviewing H&N's...🤦♂️
These pellets have definitely been produced in conjunction with H&N a quality pellet producer and are worth a try, but as always stated they may not suit all guns and barrels, much the same as daystate/JSB’s dont suit all guns, even some Daystate. Thanks for watching, stay safe. Andy.
👍 very helpful thank you 👍
Cheers , good 👍 test
as usual, informative. can we have one just on lead free.
What is your scope? Thanks
Can seem to source them in the US to try out in my L2
Is anyone else using QYS streamlined 9.56(I think).177,my hw100t really likes them? really well made,I've shot 4 tins of these and not had a single flier.
Hah ha I'm cheap run all the different Grossman .177 cal Premiers. Shooting around the 1200fps mark with it shooting good groups
You should review the Luger p08 from the umarex legends collection
You seem same as me buying yourself a birthday present 😂
These are just the H&N's with a BSA label. They are simply the H&N FTT, the Barracuda Hunter, the Terminator and the Barracuda Green.
I would like to try the alloys in my pistol
wasnt the last lot of BSA pellets made by Gamo ?
just ordered a samples pack as keen to see which my BSA CLX likes..
Hi Jason , which pellets would you recommend using with the CLX.
@@Bzz22 I had to take my clx back as it kept jamming or misfiring. I was very disappointed sadly
