We're going to find out in this social experiment that features 10 single women, 10 single men, and their 10 different cars.
The non-enthusiast women rate each car based on how attractive it would be in a potential date. Which car will they rank the highest, and lowest?

Disclaimer: I’m in Pennsylvania so that’s really only an option about 2-3 months of the year so when it’s nice - tops down and doors are off!
Fun Fact: Pennsylvania is the ONLY state in the USA where it is illegal to drive with the doors off.

@@RetroCarsForever I thought it was great. I'm noticing now at episode 2 that I want the episodes to be longer. I's love to hear more of what the girls are saying. I'd also love to hear why the guys love their cars. What would be really cool is to hear the one thing that the guys wish they could change, make it better. Whether it's the door knob that is a pain, or the glove box is too small. Anyway, I can't wait for the Mustang! I think the Mustang is a boys car so it could go either way. I had a strong feeling about the Jeep rating where it did.
@@RonSouth Thanks! Its tricky figuring out length of these episodes. Obviously they could ALL be longer, but the attention span on UA-cam for your average viewer is WAY shorter than what you get for movies or TV.
In any case, this was one of the shortest episodes of this series. Mustang one is a few minutes longer (it was, shall we say, a bit more controversial!)
@@RetroCarsForever Yea, I agree. I hardly watch anything that is longer than 30 minutes in length. Love the show the way it is, I'm just giving my 2¢ like I've been trained. The shorter, the more times I can watch! Very fun to watch, I'd watch more shows like this for sure!

@@RetroCarsForever Yes, Wrangler Unlimited hard top. I also am a huge Vette guy. Have owned three in the past. Know a lot of history about them too. Been my favorite car since I was nine. (46 yo)
Nope!!! I’m girly and I have a Jeep gladiator, I paid in full for it, took the doors and top off that day and they’ve been off ever since. I have a blast

I have a corvette, A Wrangler , a classic muscle car and a 550I BMW. By far I get the most responce from the Jeep
Interesting to hear that from a real life example! Especially as we have such similar cars in this test (BMW M5 in a later episode that’s not out yet).
If it makes the doorless worriers feel better, Wranglers are crash tested with the doors off. They do just fine. Wear your seatbelt and you'll be OK.
I couldn’t find any evidence of that. Do you have a link to back up that claim?
In any case, the psychological effects of not having a door when you’re used to one being there are certainly a thing most people would experience.
Yeah, at worst you'll lose your left arm, but no big deal, if it's good enough for Bethany "Soul Surfer" Hamilton, it's good enough for me.

Very cool video. I have an '05 TJ Rocky Mtn with the bulletproof 4.0 I6 w/ 3.73's, limited slip diff and a Dana 44. By far the best and most fun vehicle I've had. The doors and top are in the garage late April to early November. Since getting a new job with a company vehicle and gas card, it's no longer my daily driver. The pros with this are I save a ton of money in fuels costs and a lot less wear and tear on the Jeep. The lone con is, I miss driving my TJ every day, it's a blast to drive on and off road. I take my sons beach wheelin' or on our favorite trails on the weekends. For long trips, we have the wife's Chevy suv.

The never trust a clean jeep thing makes sense, if you don't use it for it's purpose, it's just a heavy but small fuel sucker. It's like driving 55 in the right lane in a Corvette
But obviously the ladies like it so if you're single maybe that's the point 😂

@1:15 I beg to differ Jeep’s are not reliable in the slightest.
I've heard varying things myself. From my understanding (and as a former owner of Cherokee which shared many components), the basics of the car are pretty bulletproof (especially that 4.0L)
It's all the little stuff that seems to fail.
The JK’s - what I have now, are known for a crappy cooling system and they’re expensive to fix. A class action suit was filed due to poor casting of cooling system components but for whatever reason it never went anywhere.
That’s really been my only major gripe about this one.
My old 4.0 I regret selling back in 1996. Great runner.

@@RetroCarsForever I don't think she cares much for either of them... the Wrangler is too high (hard to get into) and too noisy and has an uncomfortable ride, while the Corvette is too low (hard to get into) and is too noisy and has an uncomfortable ride.

They’re certainly a more reliable off roader than, say, a Land Rover!

Would have ranked higher with a lift and 33's at least.... But I love it! Reminds me of my first TJ (that was bigger, lol)
It might've scored higher with a lift, but I wanted the 10 cars in this test to be mostly stock (so that each car was as representative of each model as possible, I go into this more in Episode 1- ua-cam.com/video/J9wjh0X5QY8/v-deo.html)
In any case, this was still a very high average ranking! Most women put it in their top 3, and the lowest score it got was a 6. You'll see in other episodes how tough that is to accomplish.

I think it would have lowered the score to lift the Jeep (see what I did there?) - with most of them anyway. There were a couple of fan girls that were ranking it 1 no matter what.

Well if it was a Tank I'm pretty sure all of them like will like it. You should add a tank to the list. I'm pretty sure you can find somebody have one. Or just can put a photo. I think many people will want to see girls reviewing a tank.

I toyed with the idea of having the girls and guys meet in some way, but ultimately that felt too much like a dating show, vs a car show. I figured, with everyone's Insta tags, they can reach out on their own to each other if they wish!

I'm not shocked, but I hate how much these women love jeeps, because I think most jeep drivers are pretty douchey
I feel like it’s pretty easy to spot the douchey Jeep drivers from the rest. If the Jeep has huge aftermarket fender flares and tires and angry eyes…they’re in that minority!
The rest of them are all pretty cool people IMO
Honestly, could care less what the lady’s think as long as I’m happy driving it (might change that if/when married); but I’ve had the opportunity to drive a few cars and for some reason it seems Mercedes’s are the least liked and almost make women stay away - it gets the wow factor when they find out you drive a Merc; but they seem to hate it (I’ve been told different things - to rich for them even though it might just be a C, M or GLA, old person car, even that the car doesn’t fit my personality because apparently I’m down to earth and nice). Cadillac seems to get the same dislike as Merc, They do seem to love Audi, Jeep, maybe BMW. One thing I will say - women seem to love the Smart Fortwo. There could be a guy who shows up in an awesome Ferrari; but the Smart Fortwo gets all the attention. I’m no expert; don’t even date often, so just sharing based on my experience with different cars 😊
Interesting insights! The Mercedes thing seems to jive with what some of the women mentioned in the BMW episode, that it's more of an "old man's car" than a Bimmer. Here's how the BMW did if you're curious...

I’m not a Jeep fan. I always thought they were more for girls, like a Miata or base Mustang convertible.
However, the women in the video all seem pretty cool. And are all quite pretty.

In my town Jeep’s are driven by basic ass college girls. It diminishes the appeal of driving one I’ll stick with Toyota thank you very much.
the greatest thing about the jeep is taking the too off- and they didn't do this- and they got a bone stock 2 dr jeep- no one drives a stock jeep. fail
The Jeep was shown without the top (or doors) at 2:09.
As for stock vs modded...For this 10 car experiment, I went with mostly stock cars to get a better "baseline."
If it was a modded Jeep, it'd be hard to tell if the women liked the mods or the Jeep itself.
