"It's more, uh... will it fit into the parking space."
"... What are we talking about exactly here?"
Game ball to Linda for this exchange alone.
Linda is a national treasure.
Hell, ALL OF YOU are national treasures in my book!

Also, Ashley is killllllling me 😂
@@dana_what I am SO HAPPY she was included in this one.
While we did specifically "cast" women from all over the country, having a purely "rural" perspective on this truck episode was friggin' GOLD.
I’m just a few min in, but does anyone else feel like Sanjeev’s personality, hobbies, appearance and truck all mismatch beautifully?!
All I know is I'm super jealous of Sajeev and the life he's put together for himself!
And some of the cars he owns fit RIGHT up my weird ally of tastes.
Sanjeev is a beautiful disaster in all aspects of Sanjeev's life.
@@SajeevMehta we’re both weird enough to be friends
4:40 Brad: "What are we talking exactly about here, Linda?"
I love making Brad blush! lol
Haha! Maybe I was asking for it with that "does size matter" question...
Thanks so much for killing it, as usual! Such a joy to have you as part of this series.
I find it funny that the two cars I'd like to own most in this list are the Viper and the Wrangler. The two ends of the spectrum according to the ladies. lol
Good job with this series. I enjoyed it!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.
Maybe get the Jeep for the LADIES, and the Viper for YOU!
Anyone disliking this video was just rudely reminded how much they miss Brad’s mustache
HAHAH!
I do like how it looked. I don't miss how it felt!
I call that a pornstash
I was surprised the Ranger did so poorly, but the rationale was super sound. I liked that the truck owner really shined in this one as well as the women who may have flown under the radar a bit like Jessica.
I had no clue where this truck would end up, was pretty surprised myself.
As a personal fan of "minimalism," I was so glad that Jessica mentioned that concept with this truck! No wonder I'm a fan of small trucks like this.
01:07
Agreed! "I can relate..."
Car loans are bad, house notes are good!
Very interesting. I sure hope this series takes off and gets the views it deserves.
Very well done! 👍
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it.
great series surprising ending, i learned a ton THANK YOU
You're very welcome, thanks so much for watching!
Been waiting awhile for this one, awesome!
Thanks!
I know of a few guys who bought Vipers because… “chicks dig it!” 😂
Guess now I know why they’re still single, lol 🤣
Haha! Oh no!
This was super entertaining. Subscribed and liked.
Thanks so much!
I love these Rangers. I learned to drive a manual on my dad’s ‘94 regular cab 2WD 😎
Love these too, last of the truly compact pickup trucks I feel.
I ALSO learned to drive stick in a 1994 regular cab 2WD pickup, it just happened to be a Dakota instead of a Ranger.
Vette is #5 to women but its always going to be #1 in my heart lol
Clearly, anyone should buy the car that makes THEM the happiest. But all things being equal, still thought this would be interesting results to see!
The Corvette was the highest scoring of the sports cars, anyways.
Corvette will live longer than all the cars on the list. It will always be number 1 in the long run
The fast answer to this is yes. Definitely. And not just the Ford ranger, but any small or midsize pickup truck more than suits us.
Given just how well the Honda and Mazda did I was taken back a bit by the relatively poor showing of the Ranger. I guess it's in a weird place in terms of not being new enough to be fresh and current but not old enough yet to be cool. Sorry Sajeev! But despite that, the Range episode was such a great interview exchange but really, it was such a wonderful series too. I really, really enjoyed every single episode. It was super cool to get a glimpse into the personalities of the ladies over the past several weeks. And I'm not gonna lie, these videos got me crushing. Well done.
Thanks so much! That’s great to hear.
As for this Ranger, I too expected it to do higher. I think a truck that was a bit bigger, with an extended cab, and more features would’ve done a lot better. I think this example came across as too small/uncomfortable/basic/vanilla to most of them.
I am pretty sure if Brad profiled me and my 2006 CVPI I woulda fared a lot worse. Then again, maybe not if you were one of the judges :)
As soon as I saw that a Jeep was in the running I knew it was the winner immediately. Every down to earth girl that I’ve ever known loves a good ride in a Jeep.
You had more insight than I did!
I had a feeling the Jeep would do well, but really thought some other fancier/more comfortable cars like the BMW would’ve taken the top prize.
brilliant. This episode was well worth the wait.
Parking space HAHA, linda knows what she wants.(It's true though).
Well I'm happy. Really great show brad. You gave me something to look forward to for many months during this difficult time.
My city has just had it's first lockdown period. Some FIFO workers came in with covid. Im classed as essential services as we supply defence force but My boss gave me the week off
Thanks, glad I could help brighten your day just a bit!
Bravo! I loved this series. Thank you. Next time put a Prius in there. :p
Thanks John! Appreciate it.
In retrospect, I do think the Prius would've done very well, and kinda wished I would've included it.
And if a Tesla was in the range, it would've been almost UNFAIR how high it would've ranked!
@@RetroCarsForever After watching all 10 episodes, I am not sure how well a Tesla would rank. You may have knowledge that I do not.
@@TheRobGoodman I think a Tesla would've easily challenged for the lead. And the Prius would've been in the top 5 for sure.
If I ever do a follow up those are two I def would want to include.
Another great series!!! I have owned 2 of the cars on the list at the same time. A 1990 Corvette and a 1991 Ranger. I own a 2018 Ford Focus RS and a 2020 VW Jetta GLI Autobahn Edition at this time. Now I am going to watch the C4 Special Edition video.
Thanks! Nice collection of cars you’ve had over the years.
If you do a part 2 on this I am happy to volunteer my 2001 C5 Z06 in Red
Finally! Though as I told Linda, I wished for a final episode where the 10 gals meet the 10 guys and then match them to their vehicles.
Thanks! I did think about that as a "bonus" episode, but figured I needed to focus mostly on the cars.
That said, I'm very curious to see if anything truly DOES come about because of this series!
@@RetroCarsForever Or if anything, seeing if the expectation of what they thought the guy would be like matches the actual person.
@@cinemasianx Part or why I didn’t include that was because you can get a good sense of who the women thought the owner was in the “who drives this car” sections.
Really enjoyed this mini series. Would like to see another 10 set of cars. Surprised about the rankings. Not a jeep guy myself. Just too common where I live in Ohio. As a single dude in my 30s thats why I have 3 cars lol one for each scenario. 2016 cruze for practicality, a 94 vette for fun and an 04 land rover discovery for a boat and german shepherd hauler. Thanks for your great content. Especially on the c4 corvettes.
Thank YOU, glad you enjoyed this series! It surprised me a lot as well. Love your three car solution, if I had space for three cars I'd do something similar (cheap daily, dedicated sports car, dedicated SUV).
I know I'm super late to this but I thoroughly enjoyed this whole series. What a neat idea haha. Really liked the Mustang one, though as a mustang driver myself, you couldn't find a better year than 2004? xD
Thanks, glad to hear you enjoyed the series!
The car selections were tricky in that I had a shortlist of cars I wanted (Mustang of some sort was one of them), but I wanted the cars to be as close to stock as possible, and they had to be owned by a single straight guy, who was willing to go on camera for free and have their car critiqued...That narrowed down my selection to quite a bit!
This episode has some many quotes that have me dying. Love the series and if you continue I would love to see the Honda Element would fair out.
Glad you enjoyed the ladies' humor as much as I did while making this.
Honda Element would be a funky one! Would probably do similarly well as the Mazda CX5 crossover, but the styling might polarize some. Great suggestion.
Absolutely would love to see the ladies react to a 1990's Porsche 928! How many of them will associate that with Risky Business and Weird Science. That would be fun...nice job on this series. I absolutely would have guessed very wrong - damn Civic...lol.
A 928 would’ve been interesting, no idea how it would have done! I know some of the ladies like Porsches but I bet most of them have never seen a 928 (or Risky Business) before.
And the Civic ranking blew my mind too. Glad you enjoyed the series!
i liked your videos, cool man and funny, i had a greate time :)

@@RetroCarsForever i watched it, it was fun and cool and thank you buddy
Awesome job on this series, PLEASE do a follow up. I'd love to see how a tesla would be rated. Thanks!
Thanks so much! Agreed, Id be VERY curious to see how a Tesla would do. I think it would've threatened to lead of this bunch.
I think it would be great to see some really classic cars (50s/60s/70s icons) go up against some modern cars. I have a '73 Bronco and '70 Fastback Mustang that might do well in the rankings.
Agreed! Maybe next time if I do a follow up. But I think they might’ve done similar to the oldest car in the test, which was this…
ua-cam.com/video/i_eHzz3cs_E/v-deo.html
@@RetroCarsForever The styling of 50s/60s cars is a lot different to the DeLorean. Metal dashboards and bench seats will be a very different set of considerations for the women, but I suspect the styling will win out anyway.
True, but I think they’d have similar concerns on safety and reliability as they did with the DeLorean.
But as an occasional car, I bet they’d love an American classic.
@@RetroCarsForever Or something like a MGA or Mercedes 300SL. Or maybe a Datsun 240Z. Pretty much anything with chrome bumpers and a carburetor is what I think he means.
How do I replace the alternator on a 2006 Camry 2.4L? The last guy broke the boss you are supposed to use to get slack on the serpentine belt. Mom's mechanic showed me some tool he used to replace the belt, but every serpentine belt tool I find is a skinny breaker bar.
How do I loosen the belt with a broken boss?
Erm, not sure…did you comment on the right video??
@@RetroCarsForever I commented on your most recent video, hoping that if you couldn't help me, someone else might.
Also nice stache Brad!
Haha thanks, worked really hard on it!
I liked the outcome. I own 3 Jeeps.
I'm sure you're absolutely SURROUNDED by lady friends then!
I love my 1971 F100 Ranger XLT best of all! ❤
Awesome old school truck!
The women’s rankings of the ranger surprised me! I wonder what would happen if you did this same experiment in another major metropolitan area besides LA
I was surprised too! But keep in mind, when casting these ladies, I did find women from all over the country, to get the best "mix" of backgrounds that I could.
Definitely thankful for Ashley in this one, as she clearly had the most "Rural" perspective.
@@RetroCarsForever I didn’t know that! You put a lot of work into this series! Amazing job and some surprising and enlightening results!
@@SaleProofCarReviews Thanks so much! I really did try to cover all bases and make this social experiment as "fair" as I possibly could.
I have a small truck for a bunch of reasons more affordable, cause they look cool ,and I'm not compensating for anything
Perfect! Wish more truck owners thought the same way.
I wonder what the 2006 Dodge Ram srt 10 would’ve rank , that’s a pickup truck mixed with a viper :)
Good question, no idea where that truck would’ve ranked because it’s such a weird mix of sports car and truck.
This explains why I got more attention in my Lincoln Mark VIII in one year than I did driving my Ranger for 11 years lol
Haha! There ya go.
Country girl Ashley at 05:46 "...compared to an ACTUAL truck" ...OMG... lol BURN!
ACTUAL truck LOL
Guess this is a "toy" truck!
@@RetroCarsForever ...a micromachine, apparently! lol
And this is why i drive a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.....but why am i still single? Lol
Well, at least you're stacking the deck in your favor, vehicle wise!
Watching this because I own a Ford Ranger.
Hope you enjoy it!
@@RetroCarsForever I gotta 1990 Ford Ranger extended cab. Do you think girls like that?
@@Lone_Wolf91 I think it would’ve done about the same. No airbags or modern safety features which is a big negative, but they clearly prefer extended cabs. And probably would’ve found those jump seats cute.
@@RetroCarsForever No airbags yes but stronger body as they use much better metal back then.
What about minivans? Like a Chevy Astro? Use one like this.
There is no back seats. Using it for transporting branches to the compost pile٫ and picking up plywood boards in the back.
I thought about including a minivan but decided against it, as minivan usually equate to kids in most peoples' minds, and didnt want that aspect to color the womens' judgements of the cars.
That said, I agree, vans are TRULY useful when it comes to work!
Would love to see what ladies think about the subaru forester
Probably similar to what they thought of this comparable Mazda crossover-
ua-cam.com/video/e17z6O9Aavs/v-deo.html
@@RetroCarsForever good point. Then maybe thr subaru WRX or BRZ? Also, I would love to see if they can match the guys to their cars just by the pics lol
I have a Dodge Ram, which would have done better than the little truck, and a C4 Corvette. I think I'm covered, but...... I'm not dating anyone who is that worried about what I drive. I have these vehicles because I like them!
370z please. Also I really want to know what colour they like the most for guys white or black or grey etc
Great suggestion, I'm very curious how that car would've done (though sports cars seemed to be generally mid-pack in this test).
As for colors, it seemed in general that the women preferred black or dark blue, judging by their comments throughout the series.
@@RetroCarsForever mmmm yaaa!
Do you think it's possible to do another video strictly about the colour?
@@r.k862 We'll see! But I did ask the women specifically about each color in this series...
ua-cam.com/video/J9wjh0X5QY8/v-deo.html
@@RetroCarsForever Yeah i watched it, it hardly says anything about the colors. I like the experimental episodes though. It would be good that you can do more and a little more different and also little more scientific. I would soo love that and i think you would be the only person on youtube who will be expert about this topic since hardly anyone on youtube is doing it :) Also about the mazda video, I dont think many women on the street if they see someone in that mazda would be really interested in them, i think theres something wrong with the experiment
The woman who kept doing the guy impersonations cracked me up.
That would be Dana, and she was keeping me laughing too!
RIP to the owner of this ranger. They were ruthless! I thought it would do well!! If I bought truck it would be a ranger.
I thought it would do better as well. The owner has actually taken it pretty well!
If I had a truck it’d probably be a Ranger as well (esp a Splash!)
Welp guess the old vette is gonna have to become a Truckvette
I’m totally okay with this. I love truckvettes!
Funny... not one of these girls considered that the Ford Ranger might not be his ONLY car/truck lol
Huh, good point. Wonder what that says about guys with single cab pickups?
Oh God they roasted this guy's truck, 😂 I actually like the truck.
Yeah I feel like some of the women were a bit harsh! But it was also great to hear from a real "country girls" perspective that sometimes they think bigger is better!
I think that in the future, I shall get a vehicle that has the reliability of a pickup truck, use it for outdoors purposes, is safe and possibly still environmentally friendly. Combining most of the positive aspects that women desire in a long term partner. I was thinking of getting something along the lines of a Rivian R1T. But those are expensive as hell. I will probably have to go for cheaper gas alternative.
I bet a Rivian would do really well! I wish I had included a Tesla in the test, I think EVs in general would've done well.
Have the girls try to match the guy to which car they own. See if they would even date them after they see their faces and know what car they drive. Just an idea for a final future episode of season 2.
Not a bad idea, I've gotten a few comments suggesting this. Will def consider it if we make another season. Thanks!
Looks like I'm buying a Jeep Wrangler. :o)
Well, plenty of worse vehicles to own!
My wife was happy the Honda went so high but is not a jeep fan
Glad she enjoyed it! The Honda was the shocker of the test for me.
I think it's the practicality mixed with the fun and easy to drive nature of them
@@cooperhulswit8438 Not sure about fun, at least Civic we showed was about as plain jane as there could be, but the women definitely had some strong arguments for it-
ua-cam.com/video/sKNZ55NoGvs/v-deo.html
Wow, women want so many things. They want a guy who is fun, adventurous, outdoorsy and rugged. They want outdoor adventures, but also super flashy and rich dinners with nice clothes and expensive drinks. Depending on if they want a hot alpha male date or a long term partner, they choose differently. They want their short term date to be flashy sporty and a little dangerous. But, they want their long term partner to be extremely reliable and provide safety. It seems to me, that outdoorsyness and ruggedness are the most important factor though, for them.
Men just want a few things. A woman who is pretty, nice, sweet, cute and femmenine. A very enjoyable series. It is very educational.
Another good video man. Ranger is a good and simple truck. But I would prefer a Baja :D And ı wasn't know normal trucks have bed extenders too. I was see it on Baja but ı wasn't know normal trucks have that too. Also how the hell a Viper is on the last spot. How can a DODGE FREAKİNG VIPER is the worst car on the list!
Thanks! I was shocked by the Viper's finishing order as well.
But I think the women def had their reasons-
ua-cam.com/video/taNc9ECLQEY/v-deo.html
@@RetroCarsForever well ı can understand them. Viper is farr from practical, not safe (driving or stealing) doesn't even have a roof (for first gen of course) but it's a Viper man. A VIPER!
I was not surprised by how low the Viper ranked as a whole, but I was surprised that the Delorean scored so high comparatively. I thought it would be near the bottom.
@@TheRobGoodman well probably because Back to the Future.
@@TheRobGoodman Yeah I think personal nostalgia for Back to the Future helped. Also, those sweet doors.
Also, having a roof.
Also, not having side sills that burn the skin off their legs!
Your name is Sanjeev.
Not what I was told lol
Stop stating the obvious.
Great video series! Too bad the woman did not get to drive each car. I bet the rankings would change if they did.
Thanks!
And agreed...In a perfect world all 10 cars would've been lined up and they could've either driven or ridden in all 10 back to back.
But doing so would've been a logistical nightmare, especially if the women weren't supposed to see the men, and ESPECIALLY at the height of the pandemic!
So, did the best we could, and I did my best to fill each of them in with how each vehicle would feel to ride or drive in.
I wonder if they actually realize difference (IF they are gonna understand these are 600 + HP super car killers, with looking at the exterior etc clues) between Audi RS6 Avant, Mercedes S62 AMG Wagon etc. monsters compare to other cars or wagons, since wagons has a lot of misconception in the USA, such as being called as "Soccer mom car, old couple car" etc.
I was VERY tempted to include one of those sport wagons. But I figured the "wolf in sheeps clothing" angle was already covered pretty well with the BMW M5, I bet a lot of their comments regarding that car would carry over-
ua-cam.com/video/AMnUuX9oc7Q/v-deo.html
@@RetroCarsForever We want more :) This is fun episode but you go too slow with it :) I watched the wolf in sheep" and it was great but I am sure these (Wagons) are gonna be way more confusing for an eye and mind that is not familiar with the cars as I, you and the fun of this channel.
I mean who would think of a most basic Fort small size pick up truck would be a good episode subject :)
There are also hot hatchbacks (May be a Honda 3rd gen 2 door hatch) or small go card like machines as the Mini Cooper S or Evo VI, VII, VIII, VIIII, early 2000'sa WRX STI's with those big wings etc. RX-7, 1st and 2nd gen Supra and of course lots of American goodies.
If I were you, I would make just a series about Mercedes V8's from 80's to beginning of 2010.
I am sure retro cars will have crazy explosion from now on, since whole planet is gonna become full of those smartphone, tablet like electric etc. cars.
Who would think that C-4 Corvette would become as desired as a 80's Porsche 911's. May be now not that crazy but I am sure it will become some icon like than within next 10 Years. :)
@@godoff.5304 Oh, C4s still got a LONG way to go to be as desired as 80s Porsche 911s! Those are still worth about 4x what a C4 is worth.
You blew it on this last episode. You should have shown the women the pictures of the men and asked them to match the cars they thought the guys owned.
A couple people have commented with similar thoughts...In hindsight I should've had something like that!
I figured I wanted to focus more on the cars but now agree that something like that would've been a fun addition.
@@RetroCarsForever If you make a season 2, end it with that
Or just maybe Ranger Owners JDGAF about others opinions?
I think ANY car owner should drive what makes them happiest!
But all things being equal, it’s still fun and refreshing to hear what non enthusiast ladies think.
You should do another series with roles reversed!
I've thought about it!
Though it'd be a more of a challenge to find single women with "interesting" cars. The VAST majority of car enthusiasts are men.
@@RetroCarsForever If you do, I might be willing to be on the panel of guys 🤔
@@spencerlorrigan Will keep that in mind!
Where is the video where the girls react to the actual guys I watched the whole series... waiting for it.... and nothing.
I didn't think to film that bit, as I wanted to focus more on the cars...But I've gotten a few similar comment to yours and I regret not filming the women reacting to the actual "reveal" of the guys! Maybe next time...
Pick Her Up Truck
Did anyone seriously think that something other than the Jeep would win?? So all you single guys, go out and get a Jeep. Or a Honda Civic, that did surprisingly well.
In a way, this is sad to see how these women will judge a person based on what they drive. Some not so nice comments throughout the series. I wonder how many of these guys would actually get dates with these women?
To be clear, I -asked- each woman to give their judge each car. And I specifically picked women who I knew would speak their mind.
Think how boring of a series this would've been otherwise!
If she dont like the truck make her walk
Negative Ashley should be edited out.
Too late, already edited this and I aint editing it again! 😄
