I appreciate you loading a save to read the other dialogue option at the end of the mission. Roadside Picnic is the science fiction novel written by the Strugatsky brothers, the one that inspired the Stalker film of Andrei Tarkovsky, and both of them, the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. trilogy. In fact, many of the new artifacts that you see are taken from the book! I did my undergraduate thesis aboyt this lol

@@MeatSnax It was a modest work of cultural history in quarantine times. Unfortunately is in Spanish at the repository of the Universidad de Concepción history department, as is my native language and haven't synthetized the work in an article that I could translate to English. You'll understand is an unorthodox topic, at least in the Southern Hemisphere, as history has yet to advance in videogames studies unless you are reading Routdledge journals and the like. So that's why I haven't done it, I have been busy with other more conventional investigations before thinking where to publish that in English. It is about the literary work and the film (objects more readily studied by literary scholars), then the trilogy, and I even made an aproximation to the modding comunity, centered around the Call of Chernobyl phenomenon and following stand-alones. That was a tad before GAMMA, so it needs an update haha

Great play-through, great content. I've totally enjoyed this UNISG play-through. I cannot believe you tried to use a 9mm SMG to kill Monolith, they are hard enough to kill with a decent round like a 7.62. I think the update to the Brain Scorcher is insane, it was hard enough before but now it's near impossible with out spending hours and hours in the Zone getting really good weapons.

UNISG is really nice for veterans. Pretty much gives a different reason, besides the main Strelok chain of missions to visit all the interesting places and do stuff. I just finished watching the entire playlist and it was a very nice series. I hope you find other ways to keep yourself (and us) entertained with Stalker in the future. Congratulations!

Absolutely loved the UNISG series watching you play with the disguises was cool to watch with reactions that aren't my own lol. I can say the first time I played as UNISG was rough I didn't know too much at the time especially with the disguise system and I wasn't too familiar with the crafting but it was really fun to learn intricate mechanics that were new outside of playing as a Loner or Merc by having no Allies.

I started to watch this series when i was sick with Corona the second time and i stuck with it. I was not that sick just really tired all the time, and i think your chill kind of Style made it easy to watch while being sick. Also to watch your Channel grow over the time was really nice, i like when people get something back for the work they do and ya making videos for youtube is work :D so Thanks for all and keep up the good work 😁

the bug you got leaving the brain area is known as busy hands, when it happens if you don't reload before it happened it can destroy the save file

I went in to the lab with Monolith during the timer and there was 4 in the first room so I was blatted multiple times a lot like when you woke up in your base after sleep! I wasn't as well equipped as you here, and so turned the mod off and went back to the old Monolith after you turn it off. It also allows you the fun of placing a bunch of proximity mines all thru the base where they spawn so you can take out a load before you have to make your way out :D
Tense fight and getting there in the last 30 seconds was wild.

I love the emissions/psy storms. Stormy weather is so good, especially in games. Sets such an epic mood.

I really like the new Radar. Makes way more sense to fight your way in as opposed to fighting your way out.
I literally did brain scorcher yesterday and it was rough. Got to the last room with less than a minute on the timer. Had to run through last few rooms to make it in time. Burned through all ammo and meds. Turns out shotgun slugs work quite well against monoliths.
I sorted the new scorcher before the update that removed Monolith from the very first room. Had to try again like 7 times but now that you dont get killed instantly after entering, it seems good.
Everything started with Black Widow infestation hahahaah... Nice Series bro, im hyped for new stuf!

For Brain Scorcher you want AR with around 300 AP ammo and some backup or equivalent of that. I did it with AK74PMC rechambered to 5.56 and KS23, had above 300AP for AK and over 70 slugs for KS, Left with 90 for AK and about 30+ slugs. And I was tring to be conservative with ammo...

Today I learned that the Bizon shoots 9x18. Fun. I always thought it was just a goofy looking PP-19.
Quality looks alot better with the new monitor
caffeine tablets are cheap, weigh very little and help with weight carry, dizziness and stamina recovery. definitely recommend using them in your runs, also quick to use
Also if you do decide to play EFP although it is modern, its not not nearly updated as often as GAMMA. So even though its a good baseline you'll have to add on Quality of Life mods like ledge grabbing and PDA pins for example via MO2. You'll have to cross reference your GAMMA list and see what you might want to transfer over into EFP, or keep it vanilla, that is up to you.

As for quality I'm watching 1440p on ol' Samsung SyncMaster and looks better than my Gamma game in 1920x1080... and it seems that your game also suffer from more frequent emmisions/psi storms in the later game?
After spending 30-50+ hours in one run it become more noticeable. Aaaaand random spawns in close proximity - my favourite! 25:25 where did he come from??

After UNISG on EFP atleast it lets you run the merc storyline still as UNISG if you still wanted to do miracle machine and everything. It also gives the option to be a merc after but that's up to you
next gamma run i suggest using magazines mod. makes firefights a bit more exciting

There are some, many really gorgeous things in GAMMA (the weather effects are amazing ...but not the rain while it's falling), but I don't like the models in the NPCs in it at all (in the mod I use in Anomaly - I think 'Anomaly Models hd addons' - they are very, very more beautiful) as well as many building surfaces. I'm trying it at the same time as my personally modded Anomaly, but I always go back to the latter, if only because it's a little bit less frustrating ^^

I was just about to do the brain scorcher with 5.56, a spas 12 and medium armor. I've always kinda just plowed through the bloodsuckers then taken my time on the monolith, guess I'll wait until endgame lol. Aren't you not supposed to be able to access the north at all before disabling the Brain Scorcher though? I mean I know you can, just seems weird to make the brain scorcher harder than the CNPP.
When I played Anomaly for the first time, a couple of years ago, I read that disabling the BS would increase regular Stalker spawns (non-Monolith) in the northern areas. If that's true and still applies in Gamma, I can't tell.
With the recent change, I don't know why anyone would go to Radar anymore. Even before, Red Forest was much easier to cross and there is the convenient shortcut through Limansk.
What kind of hit did your fps take going from 1080 to 1440?

Are Mercs and UNSIG on cease fire?, im on a merc playthrough has killed a couple of unsigs without loosing reputation, and right now they are shooting me onsight.

Can anyone help ? im trying to download gamma , but i feel like the 2 main files for gamma install are outdated or something ive been through the discord steps multiple times for install and ive done everything exactly in the order they want but everytime i get into the game to start a new save game crashes with fatal error and i think the "Arguments:" line is either saying " Cant find model file _adar" and sometimes it will change and say "cant find model p90...." and it has done a couple other variations of model files not being found . are these just the specific mods in the mod pack that dont work anymore ? and if so how do i determine which mode is linked with the error to disable them ? any help would be appreciated i have litterly wasted hours of my time trying to figure this out im going crazy 😂

Definitely use PCPartPicker.com to virtually put it all together. Then look for discounts on Newegg or eBay and watch some UA-cam videos on what to parts to prioritize and what mistakes to avoid. Unfortunately cheap isn’t easy when it comes to building a pc but you can definitely save some money if you’re patient
First of yeah first time playing my loner run and I'm way over 100 days and haven't even done the BS I did missions as hell the first like 50 days in Cordon and farming after that. Also I thought it was funny you search like crazy for expert tools and here I go and get 3 in a row in outskirts, but also unlucky as I also got... 3 chimeras ambushing me at the same time during the night when I arrived at outskirts, god bless the exo armor or I would have been someone's dinner.

I don’t. But for strictly visuals you could try the expedition visual pack. Or just install SSS v19. It covers the lighting and foliage and makes it look real nice

Gamma ist such a Crash Simulator i do save all the time Not because of dying but because of Crashes Happening every 15min
Only crashes for me when a mod failed to download correctly and my system is pretty old at that point, so I don't think it's entirely Gamma's fault.
While Gamma does occasionally crash, it absolutely doesn't crash every 15 minutes, not normally at the very least. I think you are either running it on a low spec PC or you enabled a mod or setting the game doesn't like so it's crashing.
Imagine if this was an Invictus playthrough hahahaha
Running VSS is much more easier through Brain Sorcher last time i did it, have basically no recoil, i dont even have to switch to sidearm. Semi automatic in Brain Scorcher is just not suitable because so many Monolith is rushing you at once.

I really wish I had a better computer. I can play Gamma, but I have to have it at nearly the lowest settings and even then it lags and stutters ALOT. I suppose it makes sense though since theres like 300 or something mods.
