running for cover to a cave, desperately trying to get away from an emission only to run into a controller inside the cave is pretty awesome.
Most of the time, the Zone kills you without even knowing or caring that you were there. This is what happens when the Zone notices you. The Zone has a warped sense of humor.
I made zoom work the way it does in EFP so that optics with magnification don't lose their purpose and still have their part in progression, while player could still conviniently study their surroundings\do screenshots. I just see it mentioned a lot, so wanted to clarify why it is the way it is. Thanks for great videos!

I expect nothing less from the best, I just went from Gamma to full on EFP just recently after being dissapointed a bit by Gunslinger + Misery

Good job with this one again man! Appreciate your consistency. Here are some more tips:
If you hold "alt" button and click on magazines you can add them to your load out without right clicking them.
You also don't need to be close to a fire place to cook the food when you have field-cooking equipment in your inventory (in the video it looked like you cooked food only when close to a fire)
One more tip could be to check out the top of the window that opens up when you want to repair equipment with the engineer NPC, there is a button next to the "repair" button that says something along the lines of " clean weapon" or something like that. IF you click that button, you can change it to clean/repair parts. In my EFP this button sometimes glitches and stays greyed out even if your weapon has damaged parts. A work around I found is that you just click on the "clean weapon" option that is not greyed out first and cancell it, THEN change the type of repair and click it. It costs outrageous amounts of money doe so don't get your hopes up too much :P

STORY TIME:
My best EFP moment came within the first four hours of my free stalker playthrough. I didn't have any good gear. Just a makarov and an Aks 74U that I was trying to fix up. While trying to get from Cordon to Garbage, an emission suddenly hit. Fortunately I was next to the mill so I just went in and started taking inventory while I waited for the blowout to pass.
Suddenly I heard footsteps. A lot of them. At first I thought it was just free stalkers or maybe just bandits. I was half right. So two groups entered, from one side came a couple of bandits and the other a squad of military. And I was stuck in the middle.
What followed was the most intense 5 minutes of butt clenching firefight. Squinting in the dark shooting back only when I saw muzzle flash. Dodging grenades....it was hella fun.
that run into the cave escaping the controller AND the emission was a potential PTSD experience
Make "Strange thoughts by Qloud" a regular thing. Just pour on that 'stream of consciousness' during the downtime in-game. Great vid as always man
The controller in that cave in Zaton is a static spawn in vanilla CoP. Pretty much every CoP mod I've played leaves him. It's actually a pretty easy way to get money if you start an EFP/Gamma playthrough in the north, just chuck a grenade in to kill him and loot your expensive mutant parts.
I just started an EFP playthrough as UNISG (never played EFP before). I disabled the grass as it was incredibly annoying, looks great but mutants and crouching stalkers are basically invisible.
The guys you have to escort can live with you till the end of days, the mission never expires. The timeframe they mentioned is just for a little bonus.
Fun fact about that ash 12, its the only gun that can penetrate through every material in the game, it is also the only weapon that can penetrate anything. It also kills deals all of its damage after penetration.
You can shoot the ash 12 through the front end of an APC and instantly kill someone standing a mile behind that APC

The emission controller scenario was insane
I believe if you set a waypoint right on the stash then the 3d waypoint will show on the correct floor where the stash is. I think the only exception is when you RMB on the location area marker (the grey circle) when the stash is inside it. Then the waypoint may get placed elsewhere.

when using the magazine mod make sure to be on the lookout for good mags as they can get really expensive, also lmgs= tons of ammo make sure to check for them

If hunters kit sits in your inventory it will still give benefit. I only buy them not instead of regular backpacks in order to set up stashes. Means I’ll always have one in my inventory after I’ve upgraded my bag

In Anomaly 1.5.2 each empty canteen will be added to your inventory beside the full ones...granted that you have more than one.

I don't know I just started playing EFP from gamma myself and was hoping to learn from your gameplay.
I don't think you had to cancel guide quest with 2 companions - at least in Gamma if you were over time limit, they just paid you less after finishing it - but they would still hang around you

In the future you want the AEK rifle. Its a very rare prototype rifle with a recoil balancing system inside of it which makes full auto fire completely flat to shoot. I dunno if you caught the price but I think it said over 40k to sell as is.
It's not a prototype they just don't sell them to civilians and only give them to Russian/Ukrainian special forces

I've always though that purified mutant meat was kind of OP in GAMMA, kinda nuts that it's apparently even better in EFP.
Also, you can use autocomplete mod to, you know, auto complete your missions istead of going to every npc to Take the money

Hey man, if you can - what the difference between 4.2 efp and 4.0 one? cus i installed 4.0, and seeing not much differences. Should i upgrade?
The changelog is on their discord. Looks like they added more mods removed old ones and did some fixes. I would upgrade but definitely take a look at the changes

EFP deserves more attention. Gamma, imo, is overrated because it overhauls the game to be less STALKER-like... But EFP is really STALKER at its core, but with even more of what's already great

Oh forgot to mention to this: you can make a lot of money in the end game by repairing and selling working guns
and for some reason different stalkers pay more for different guns (idk tho didn't get a chance to test it out too much)
AND you can do interrogation on bleeding enemies (this is not in GAMMA for balance reasons)
edit: if you equip detector it will start beeping near anomalies (you don't need to hold it)
btw change the required time for double click actions in the setting to something like max 1,5 seconds

carry weight is adjustable. starts at ~30kg can turn it up to 50. if you want to, of course. was the first thing i did after about 30 minutes lol
Some of these mods on EFP (and Gamma) just seem like a lot of extra work for no fun, having to load each mag and field strip guns? Hope the STALKER 2 devs don't take any ideas from this.
Apart from my gripes with the mods i love your videos, your narration style is very chill and i love hearing you play while i do some other stuff at the computer
I hope they don't dumb the game down to Bethesda levels.
@@fonesrphunny7242 the original trilogy had pretty simple mechanics, most of the complicated things people became used to in S.T.A.L.K.E.R are added by mods. It's very hard to dumb down something that was already really simple
Vanilla Call of Prypyat is very simple, you have plenty of resources, the economy is very forgiving and unless you're not looting at all you'll never run out of ammo or food. The game shines because its atmosphere and world are superb and its gunfights (thanks to a good AI that flanks, tries to sneak etc) are fun
@@murilovitale3135 Some people love having that extra challenge by loading bullets into magazines, and replacing guns with better parts, it IS rewarding having to finally use the gun you've been trying to find parts for, for so long. You can also disable Mags Redux in MO2. The best thing about it, as you might know, is that you can tailor-fit the game to your liking!
@@kenphtv I know that some people like it, otherwise it wouldn't exist. It's a personal thing about it, adding busy work is just wasting the player time, not adding extra layers of challenge. Although as i said, this is a personal thing of mine and i don't want to shit on things other people like
