Great work Paul. I also have issues with directions or the lack of directions. Many times I find that they are so vague I resort to researching photos in the hope it will give me a better understanding of where the part goes. I also agree with your color scheme. I always have issues with the correct shade of color. When I see videos or pictures I find a multitude of different shades of color. I am not like Nigel where he has researched the correct shade and the correct manufacturer of the correct shade. I really respect Nigel’s abilities. I feel with wear and tear and various weather conditions There could be all various colours fades .The plane armour or ship would be a different colour depending on the weather. Stay safe

Coming along beautifully Paul, already looking perfect enough for real life torpedo attack operations. Your doing a great job even though it's early days and the project is still only just starting. As it was with the Memphis Belle, when this project is done it's going to look like a masterpiece. @@plasticmonkey5594 Personally speaking I don't really mind about the length, you cover a good deal about your approach to the project, what issues you've faced, and how you use your tools. Ron Calverly does the same on his channel and he's done magnificent.. on both projects and the channel, it's your channel in this case, long.. short.. either you choose is great. Paul, It's looking very nice, particularly like the paint color on the deck. Also, when you picked the hull up, I thought I noticed an area between the two exhaust stacks, low down on the hull, that didn't appear to have been painted. You may wish to look at this to confirm (about 1:32 into the video). I found your comment about being used to Revell instructions interesting, as I have been re-constituting my small stash, and of the 5 kits I've purchased so far, they are all different manufacturers. I wonder what sort of issues I will run into with switching back and forth between the different styles and formats of instruction manuals.
Thanks Tron appreciated .Yes there was a bit of tape it was there to define the very faint line between the two hull colours. Has for the instructions I think it's probably more me ,I don't know for sure but believe am a bit dyslexic. See I can't spell for toffees, but can read most things .Which seems weird to me if you can read it why can't you spell it. Stay safe and have a good week 👍
Hi there Paul. I don't think it's you regarding the instructions, I am building the S-38 1942 version of the kit and a couple of things which I have found. 1. The vertical pole you mentioned at 3.45 is listed as part K-12 in my instructions, it is at the end of sprue K and looks like a bit of sprue in it's own right. 2. The two pieces glued to the main deck at 4.03 which stop you sliding the deck in. On my kit they are fitted after the deck goes in, as you ended up doing. As my kit is the first version they released it seems like the instructions have been made worse. My instructions also still have vagueness in places and also bits appearing on the model without the instruction telling you to do it. I think mine is going to be a slow build with lots of planning involved like you said. I'll be following your build both for the interest and as a back up guide. Dear Mr P, This seems to be a boat at an easy scale to work with- I have often thought about something of the kind. I put red on the hull of my schnellboot S-100 by Revell. They said to use black I think.

I just happen to have both versions of the Revell S-100 Flak38 armed version and Flak37 armed version just haven't started them yet.
