Ds650 No oil pressure

my 2001 ds650, no oil pressure, new oil pumps, new crankshaft, new water pump seal and gear, using Rotella T6 10w-40.. Why no oil pressure.. can prime it, have 30 psi at idle 4 about 2 minutes, long enough to worm up and then it drops to zero.. what is the problem?

I have the same quad, I just got it back from someone who rebuilt the engine but I don't think he primed it because my oil light stays on. I was riding it yesterday when I got it back, and looked down to realize it wasn't primed. Hopefully it didn't hurt the engine.

Pull the oil filter side cover off, pull the oil filter out of the way, crack the WEEP HOLE cap until you see oil weeping out of it. Then tighten cap and re-install the filter and oil pump cover. You must remove all air from that system.

There is an oil bleed valve. Remove oil filter and it’s right behind it. Crack it open, crank the engine and it should bleed some oil. Put back together and done. Hope this helps

Why did the fan come on with the key? Was it already hot?
