- In today's Episode of Let's Play Fate/Stay Night: Heaven's Feel, we finished the remainder of day 15. Shirou's condition gets worse and once more he has to project. Before that Illya reveals the truth about the holy grail and teaches about the Avenger, Angra Mainyu. It's there we learn about the past of him and how he became all the worlds evil. Sakura arrives to try and save Shirou, but unfortunately shirou won't fold. He's going to save Sakura, and because of that drive Rider is now on his side.

This is it everyone. Only one recording session left for the finale of Heaven's Feel. After that all that's left is the bonus content. I am not prepared but I hope you all are excited.
NOT A SPOILER... Just so you know one of the endings, not sure if it would be considered bonus content or nah, has a part with auto text where you cant pause it. Maybe it would be better not to read it out loud because the text goes really, and I mean REALLY fast and not reading it out loud could help you connect more with that ending.

@@Hopeful_Games Yeah. I subtly said how accurate that was while trying not to spoil things back on that episode.
I don’t think the game is trying to just dig 8n the “Sakura is being totally consumed by evil” bit as much as you would think. The Rin bit, though surprisingly ignored or excused by many, exemplifies her worst character flaw. In a moment where everyone, even Sakura, are showing multiple sides, Rin falls back on her safe zone of the cold mage. Even when Shirou bargains with her that he will save Sakura anyway Rin has to create an excuse for not doing her duty.
Basically the novel has constantly showed us that Rin has been so ingrained by her father and Kotomine about the rules of the Association, that she has to lie to herself in order to do what she really wants to do. She did it with Shirou too (creating excuses as to why she was not fighting him). In a way you can tell that Rin is bound by the rules of her father, even though she claims to be free. Funny how every character in this novel has been utterly affected and bound by the past in some form.
Rins behavior in Heavens Feel has always particularly gotten under my skin. She is never explicitly in the wrong in any given situation when examined up close, but her overall attitude is just wretched in this route.
While her lack of compassion for Sakura is a well discussed topic her lack of compassion for Shirou, esspecialy in the last few days of this route is almost just as bad. She has barley a kind word for him as he flagelates himself to accomplish the impossible over and over, while what few table scraps of support she throws his way are such faint praise that they could easily be interpreted as a Fuck You by anyone other than Mr. Shirou 'my suffering doesnt matter' Emiya.
Rin talking about the Gem Sword like its something she acomplished and being all smug about it is the shit icing on the crap cake for her in this route.
Also getting this directly after UBW where we saw her at her best really does a good job of twisting the knife and shows off the duality of her character very well.
@@GrimgoreIronhide I honestly do find it fascinating how Nasu never straight writes a perfect character, as all of them are flawed. My biggest gripe is the fandom however since they always downplay her weaknesses and faults.
On that matter yes, the Jewel Sword is 100% Shirou’s handiwork alone, which even Ilya praises him for since neither of them expected him to be able to create such a perfect replica (traced items tend to be downgraded by how well Shirou can comprehend the original, hence why he can not project Ea or the real Excalibur).
@@lenleon3699 Well, I don't know why you decided to randomly describe what the gem sword is and then start talking about basic tracing mechanics, but yes, Rin's serious cold side, as opposed to her standard cold side has been relentlessly downplayed by the fandom for years.
@@GrimgoreIronhide I was mentioning the fact of how impressive Shirou’s creation of the sword was since he could have just made a worthless trinket or fried his brain if he did something wrong. Which entitles him to the credit of it’s creation more than her.
@@lenleon3699 Yeah. I think part of Rin's lack of reaction too Shirous success might be Nasu trying to shift emphasis to Illya but even so Rin's response is just anemic. On top of this creating the gem sword is something her family has been trying to do for generations and failed.
I would give a lot to know what was actually going through her head at that point.
Shirou walking around the house before leaving is probably my favorite lowkey moment of this route. I love it dearly.
"Kyrie Eleison." It's pronounced just like Kirei. It was stated a while ago that he was named after a prayer. It means, "Lord, have mercy."
I can only imagine Kirei going around muttering Kyrie Eleison under his breath anytime something mildly annoys him.
Come to think of it "Lord have mercy" is used a lot in Christian circles as a sort of safe substitute for swearing, but its actualy quite blasphemous, way worse than saying fuck if you look at it from a liturgical perspective.
The bad ends of HF are a doozy. You'll enjoy two in particular.
Alter Jesus isn't even a wrong way to describe Angra. Though not confirmed, he is likely the same kind of monster that the Grail in the prototype story of fate had, which is dubbed "Nega-Messiah".
All hail to the Hommunculus Pope. For a character with only a tiny moment of screentime her character design is one of the most beautiful in all of fate.
When Tohsaka mentions the sword stopping the falling moon at 1:35:17, she's referencing how Zelretch stopped the Crimson Moon using the Second Magic (Backstory from Tsukihime).
Nasu likes adding nods and references to his other works all the time.

43:18 nah there is a much more classess of servant's but since Great Holy Grail can summon only seven of them,it chose to summon only seven the most balanced classess for war.Avenger class was summoned instead of Berserker class so don't be too freaked out when you gonna start to play Fate go and see how many classess are there........

Reeeeeeally reccomend checking the other choice with rider before on to the endings, trust me.
This is why i find it hard to choose a favorite route, since all 3 routes wrk so good as a whole. I can only choose the bes girl

29:48 that's basically what it means yes........since the entire Nasuverse operates on souls,and even if you change your body in order to overcome the limitation's of it,that will not allow you to overcome the limitations of your soul.Have you ever watched Fullmetal Alchimest 2003 version? In it the main villain Dante has the exactly same problem as Zouken,but instead of bugs she uses the philosopher stone's to change bodies.But after some time it helps her less and less and her new bodies starts to rot with bigger speed the more she changes them,that's becuase the soul has it's own lifespan.But unlike Dante Zouken has a way to fix it--Heavens feel can change souls into basically anything giving him any time of lifespan he wants. Heck since magic circuit's is a product of soul it can give someone like Shinji the abilities to perform magic at even Toshaka's level if not even on the level of Caster!!!Since soul is determs who you are--you can even make yourself a divine beast,or demi-god in a shape of a man and become someone like Gilgamesh! So yeah........that's a big deal

The thing is that Angra isn't the main love interest for the route; that's why he isn't hated. Each route has a love interest, and in HF, the love interests defining characteristic is "suffering." Saber is proud, loyal and strong yet has her cute moments; Rin acts selfish and cold but is actually very caring and good-natured. Without seeing zero first, Sakura appears as just a shy girl who you find out has suffered a lot and goes crazy. I don't hate Sakura, but she is the worst out of the three. I didn't fall in love with her. I just felt sorry for her. But I took that pity away after the things she did and the way she acted, leaving nothing to actually love.
I definitely understand your perspective and I think that's valid. I apologize for you having to stomach my vastly different opinion, but hopefully that's what makes my LP unique.
the op seriously spoils everything if you had watched it you quite literally would have learned the entire climax its very easy to understand what is happening in it.
Overall I would say that I like Rin as a character but the way she acts and the things she says in Heavens Feel is why she's my least favorite of the main girls in Fate Stay Night.
Has Hope hit a dead end in HF yet?
