I'm sure technology has come a long way since the late 80's/early 90's when I had my hair transplant back when I was around 26 or 27. They took circular grafts from the side/back of my head and transplanted them where I was thinning. It looked semi-good for a bit, but then the rest thinned and I looked like I had a dolls head with hair plugs on the top/front of my head. And, since they took the grafts from the side/back, I can never have a buzz or close cut because the donor area will show and it's not pretty so I always have to have longer hair on the sides/back. I eventually had to join Hair Club where they shaved down the transplanted area and put the system on top, but it still requires shaving from time to time but I had to....that hair plug look was awful. I went into it out of fear of going bald. I was young & felt fearful of losing my looks (I had pretty nice hair).
