Its crazy how skyrim has so much more detail than Starfield considering Starfield was meant to be a start to whole new franchise while Skyrim was just another entry in an already established one.

The problem is the fact the customers have been stung so many times for excellent trailers and still expecting to get that same content as you did from the trailer only for it to be a pile of shit, this is where preorders come in from the fools thinking it WOULD be a decent game and it was not.
HELL it gets even worst when reviewers dont get a review copy RIGHT before the release date so people are in a bind whether to pre order or not to. (personally i would never again). @@warlock7078

Tbf GTA 4 shouldn't really be compared to anything because it makes all other games look like ass in comparison.
It's the same even when comparing GTA 4 to it's direct sequel, GTA 4 wins almost every time.
Watch Dogs is an amazing game though.
Sadly, Watch Dogs 2 is actually good and major improvement. But Legion comes 😢

Well in terms of graphics WD is better than GTA 4 and 5. (Not talking about gameplay and broken promises)
@@andreyvolkov3117 Only thing is, is that watch dogs has better on foot traversal while GTA has better driving and in the case of GTA 4 it has better hand to hand combat.
All three games are similarly tied in gun focused combat though, they each have their own shooting but they are mostly the same.
And to think, everybody criticized Watchdogs when it came out for not looking like it did in the trailer. Now, similar games made 10 years later look and play worse than Watchdogs.
To be fair, it was kind of a big deal.
Ubisoft put themselves on that corner after trying to "overtake" GTA V too much tbh.

All of those publishers are so quick to make us pay more for something that isn't really up to the technology we have today, comparatively to what people have been able to put on modest systems back then.
Dude, you can't even build a PC without people screaming VRAM at you. People made incredible stuff run on 32 mb video memory. And today you want us to jump to the ceiling for them remaking that and selling DLC's out of it. There's no way we can all get so enthusiastic about it.
Still I agree, we shouldn't jump on a bandwagon and doom the entire market.
Unfortunately we also need to call out what's happening.

The worst thing about this is that the newer games look worse as well graphically but they push a lot more polygons for whatever reason.
To bait and push you to have mid or higher tier specs. Not worth until some gaming reinassance happens.
I will stick on my humble barely mid rig for 1080p gaming because today games are a pain for my eyes sometimes, some are enjoyable counted with fingers of one hand but of those some have so shitty grainy shadows and you are stuck to have them instead removing them entirely like in the past for instance.
Look at that garbage NFS unbound. It looks shit compared to the ever so gorgeous and photorealistic NFS 2016. Yet requires a beefy upgrade of hardware to run properly, whereas that same hardware can run NFS 2016 at 60fps.
They looks worse because art team and graphics team are just not that good. You can dodge technical limitations if you have competent team but if your art team sucks your art style is boring and you cant balance this with polygon count, textures resolution or ray tracing.

Just like water, people all the time say "Wow look at these physics!" but theres literally no water physics at all in like 99,99% of games, i dont know why people assume everything in games is "physics" while its just animations and moving textures, sometimes animated vertex displacements, but almost always there are no "physics"
@@NikTek it's Ubisoft's fault for overpromising and downgrading. They didn't handle it the way it should and it backfired
@NikTek there were some problems with WD1 (graphics downgrade was egregious and there was no real ragdoll system when people got shot, but rather pre-made death animations)... but it's definitely much better than Legion is in almost every metric

Thats because Crowbcats video was full of cherry picking.He only cherry picked some bad things and told that the was bad.When the game had alot of good things even better than Gta-5 in some cases.He even made video where he told gta-4 is better than 5.Which is his another cherry pick video and just showed good side of gta-4 but never 5.This is why his that video got massive dislike,even his new resident evil video got huge dislike because of his bait and cherry picking.I like some of crowbcats video,but not all of them are correct.He even made video about Battlefield-1 and said its bad but now it is considered one of the bf games,so not all his videos or opinions are correct, sometimes he want to make controversial videos for shock value thats all.

The fact that the already downgraded watch dogs 1 manages to look better than legion is just humilating, however watch dogs 1 now has a mod that restores the E3 features and graphics.

I remember Crowbcat uploaded a video related to Watch Dogs in 2014 titled 'True next gen experience' something like that, basically shitting on the game that what kind of next gen is that. And I never thought we things would be so bad after that that we have to look back at watch dogs as an inpiration in the future. We peaked gaming a decade ago.

I sold my Xbox series x to get a ps2 for real games and a switch for indies (first parties on switch are a complete scam compared to their older consoles)

I feel only Sony Studios is actually pushing the AAA games to new heights. Sweet Baby Inc is also one of the reasons that the fun wacky elements of the game get removed from the final product.
Spiderman 2 could have been handled better.
It's crazy to think that not only AAA games are getting "worse," but GPUs too. Back in the 900s and 10s, Nvidia, the vast majority of games would play pretty well on them, even on the cheapest ones like the 50s. Nowadays, you need a 70s card to play at 1080p ultra without any kind of magic tool they want you to use so bad.
That's not how technology works. To say games are made for higher end PCs = GPUs are going backwards is perhaps the dumbest comment on this page.
Games are made for consoles, which are highly optimized compared to PCs which use a garbage operating system and a varying configuration. Plus, do you use Nvidia/Intel when games are optimized for AMD/Radeon in 2024 because that's what consoles use.
Nvidia makes AI hardware and sells gimmicks. Their cards say nothing about anything but the people that buy them post-2020, when they stopped making GPUs for gaming - as a former 3080 owner, they're not that good.
Basically they're complaining about the increasing complexity and price of graphics processing units, not to mention today's graphics cards have 32x the RAM and such

It's amazing how we used to bash fully optimised and full owned games for not looking as realistic as the trailers (Watch dogs) to this broken micro transaction filled buggy mess of triple AAA games. To this day I still play COD old games before black ops 3 and they were all so fuckin perfect compared to today's garbage.

Watch Dogs was never viewed as a well respected franchise. There are plenty of viral videos from 2014 dunking on the game. Watch Dogs 2 was generally received well, but It didn't sell that great.

While I was playing watchdogs 1 I had noticed a couple of homeboys freestylin some lit verses on the street
For me the most shocking is the animations in Ubisoft games. I played Assassin's Creed III and AC odyssey, and the animations are much more smooth and detailed in the first one! The parkour in odyssey feels kinda slow and jerky compare to Odyssey... Here it is the same with the clothes of black flag and skull and bones
The worst thing in Skull & Bones is the shanties. Especially "Leave Her Johnny".
Today its: "stop raping her johnny"
And still requirements for these new games are going sky high.

I consider myself lucky to have fallen so behind with my gaming backlog that Ive yet to experience and play pretty much every single one of these older games and not having to touch any of the newer ones.
And as Ive been trying to say to newer generation of players, go back in history to play older games that you might have missed out on than buying and playing modern "triple A" titles that are more often than not waste of your time and money. Ofc there are exceptions too like we did last year but if you are in situation where you are waiting just for the next big new triple A game to be released, go and play some older games instead

Watch Dogs was criticized because Ubisoft deceived everyone (at that time this was not a common sight), the game was not what was shown at E3, and the main character looked too ridiculous in these clothes, plus a lot of pathos was not in fashion at that time time. and at that time there was no video game crisis yet, there was a lot of stuff that could be played
Its also crazy that some olde games looks almost the sams or even better then new games , but new games require RTX 2060 while older require 4-6gb GPU like GTX 1050, GTX 1060 6gb

Not to mention performance has taken a giant hit as well, even though the graphics are often the same or even worse. All the lazy devs just rely on upscaling now instead of properly optimizing.
Helldiver's 2, Palworld, and last Epoch are some of the best gaming experiences I've had in decades

Old games still look fresh because of environment around it, i played ghost of Sparta and its graphics are damn cool, the building and water effects and walking style of characters feels like king, even though its psp games it has better floor tiles graphics back then, its always loook fresh when you play

They would rather get investments from ESG (Sweet baby and others) and make the game woke AND shiit , than have any amount of love or passion for game. The games nowadays have no souls aside from privately owned studios like Larian or Japanese game devs like FromSoft. Ghost of Tsushima was great as well. So was God Of war 2018 (new one is also woke af)
Really? fromsoft? You know their games have a LOT of issues, right? From releasing literally unfinished games to rushing games and having poor design choices, fromsoft regularly have lack of technical polish in their games. Infact, modders have to do the work of removing these dumb limitations, similar to bethesda. All this generates artificial difficulty from tedium, frustration and confusion, and that ain't real difficulty. And the rest of the game's aspect like world, story, etc.? Its not the greatest either. This ''vague'' story is also told in other games like skyrim or CP2077. They literally have hidden plots and stories. This is speaking of their souls titles and ER, not gonna say on BB and sekiro.
And god of war 1? Its combat was not satisfying, only focused on story and graphics. They took a game known for its combat and turned it into a story focused game. Why?

@@verifeli Eh, Definitely was an okay game, I didn’t like it very much, Very clunky camera controls and a fairly simple and forgettable story especially compared to previous AAA games like RDR2 which overall for me is much more enjoyable and has IMO much better characters that you actually feel genuinely attached too.
Only thing that stopped BG3 from being a good game was its last chapter.@@GEK0dev

@@smrah8750 Of course, it's too early to tell, but since RDR2's release TakeTwo has officially become affiliated with BlackRock and its woke ESG score. Devs have stated they "don't want humor that punches down", and several key Rockstar members have left. I would love to be wrong, but there are red flags, and remember that no studio is infallible.
I remember vividly of people treating CD Projekt Red as infallible and being willfully blind with hype prior to Cyberpunk 2077's release.

Thats because Crowbcats video was full of cherry picking.He only cherry picked some bad things and told that the was bad.When the game had alot of good things even better than Gta-5 in some cases.He even made video where he told gta-4 is better than 5.Which is his another cherry pick video and just showed good side of gta-4 but never 5.This is why his that video got massive dislike,even his new resident evil video got huge dislike because of his bait and cherry picking.I like some of crowbcats video,but not all of them are correct.He even made video about Battlefield-1 and said its bad but now it is considered one of the bf games,so not all his videos or opinions are correct, sometimes he want to make controversial videos for shock value thats all.

It's both hilarious and depressing how Ubisoft was used as an example twice just to show the massive dip in quality with their recent releases. I still can't believe that they once made great games that were pretty (dare I say) revolutionary for their time but now, they're only known for not innovating let alone doing the bare minimum in their games, the only thing they've tried revolutionizing was microtransactions lol
It's obvious that U.S and it's entertainment industries are in a free fall. Look at the music industry at 00's 10's and now, compare holywood old vs new, and gaming industry you just watched.
