the recipe for the base is
- 1/2 cup oats
- 2 tsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- 2/3 cup milk
Is chia seeds that important or can we ditch it
@@shaneillgohome6620 it thickens it and nutritious. I'm trying it with ground flaxseed and a little less milk
@@shaneillgohome6620 Chia as said before will make the mixture a little bit thicker. But it is not an enormous difference. We also use it because it helps to feel "full". So basically, yes you can definitely do overnight oatmeal without chia
Can i substitute maple syrup with honey? Since no one actually sells maple syrup in my country
@@linaariawati4424 honey isn't the best option for overnight oats. It can be harmful at very hot or very cold temperatures.
Finally an overnight oats recipe that doesn’t use Greek yogurt! I just can’t get over the sour taste :(
I thought it was just me! I can’t stand the sourness of the Greek yogurt! So I was really happy to find this method lol.
It really depends on the type of yoghurt, there are some that are really tasty and others that taste like ass
I use banana yogurt or vanilla yogurt

I love to make my overnight oats in a nearly empty nut butter jar, because you can scrape the sides as you eat it to get the remains of the nut butter in each bite. So good!
OMG! I felt I was eating a dessert, for real! I made a combination of cacao powder with peanut butter, maca powder, cinnamon, and hemp seeds; next morning I pour it into a bowl with half banana and frozen berries, delicious!!! Thank you, big fan!
4 weeks ago I switched from cooked oatmeal to overnight oats. Love them ! Great ideas here, here is my favorite recipe so far:
.75 cups rolled oats (I used organic and sprouted for extra nutrition)
1 cup to 1.25 cups of nut milk (I use Silk Unsweetened Vanilla flavor Cashew milk), only 25 calories
Heaping half cup of fresh blueberries (not frozen, fresh taste better)
3 tablespoons of raisins
1.5 teaspoons of cinnamon
(I also add 1 tablespoon of hemp seeds, and 1 tablespoon of ground flax seeds)...
Tweak levels to your liking. Try it, you'll love it
Vegan For The Animals Ⓥ I hate it
my fave recipe is
35g oats
1tbsp vegan protein powder or chia seeds
1/4 cup plant milk
3-5 tbsp coconut yoghurt
1/2 tablespoon cocoa powder
then top with frozen banana in the morning

I love putting zucchini in my morning oatmeal. Sometimes I swap riced cauliflower. The texture is a bit noticeable, but not the taste. And I love getting veggies in my breakfast!

I make mine with flax seeds, never tried peanut butter. This is so filling, and a great breakfast dessert.

Two cans of full fat coconut milk. Leave tin overnight in fridge. Remove the cream only (save the water for smoothies or cooking) place in bowl with the powder from four probiotic capsules. Stir and put back in fridge to chill again for few hours then ready to enjoy.

Can you put what ever you want in overnight oats? And do you have to use chia seeds also can you use lactose free milk instead?
Definitely! And no you don't have to use chia, but you'll want to reduce the liquid you use. Any type of milk works!

Try at Dollar tree ... I am not sure what size you'd want but they do have a variety ... that is if you're still looking.
