    for those that can get the Wyndham Business Card in the US it gives Wyndham Diamond which can be matched to Caesars Diamond in a few days...but love the video for those that can find 10x that's a pretty good deal!

      @johnlittle8267 From what i can see, this does look like a good option for getting Caesars Diamond status. However, there are a few caveats that I can see not making it accessible to everyone. 1) it appears that getting this card requires a very high credit score. 2) Of course, you have to live in the U.S. (which you did note in your post) 3) It looks like you have to apply for the tier match every year (It does not seem to be automatic), 4) it comes with a $95/year annual fee (Actually quite reasonable for the perks it offers), and 5) There seems to be comments that the Caesars Tier match does not include the $100 celebration dinner. (Can you confirm this if you have the card?) And thanks for commenting! Very helpful.

    Hey Woody, loved the video! Do you know if the casino treats this type of play as the same sort of “money-in” as slot machines? I’m thinking in terms of getting room comps for amount of play+time

      @woodytravels  4 місяці тому +2

      @bradbrowder7 Thanks for the positive comment! Very much appreciate it. Although I'm not certain, I want to say that they would treat the 'money-in' the same as Video Poker, due to it being valued the same at $10 per tier credit. I can tell you that playing this definitely keeps the green light active for free drinks at the bar also. So if you are trying to absolutely maximize the free comps, play this method a half-dozen spins to get your drink, then move to low-value video poker, then repeat. You keep the drinks flowing, the roulette spins to expedite tier credits, and the low-value video poker to keep things engaging.

      @@woodytravelsone last question, can i also just bet on the three different sets of 12’s, or on red&black, or do you think this only works if betting on numbers

    • @woodytravels
      @woodytravels  3 місяці тому +1

      @bradbrowder7 From the numbers, you should be able to bet on red/black or the 12's, however you would of course have to cover the 0/00. Also, make sure you calculate the proper wager on those spaces to minimize your loss per spin.
      In some circumstances, you may not be able to play offsetting bets like the strategies you've suggested. I know from experience on these machines, you can definitely place a chip on all numbers, but I can't remember if I actually tried to place offsetting bets on red/black to see if it blocked that bet. I'll be there at the end of August to try these though.
      If you're not already subscribed, do so, and I'll most likely post a follow-up video on theses methods after my visit. (End of shameless plug) 😀

However there were a few bars with older VP games, which I did not see roulette at. Bugsy's bar at Flamingo comes to mind. Or did you find a newer VP game there? So the good news is that there are more places to play this strategy throughout the Caesars properties.

      I actually tested a few permutations of this, betting $9 (omitting the 0/00) and I was shocked how many times i landed on 0 and 00 over the course of an hour or so. For this video, I wanted to remove the idea of chance from the equation, and give a hard, guaranteed number to getting to Diamond. If you're lucky, you could put a lot less into these video roulette machines to get the required number of tier credits, but you also could put a lot more in. 😀

    • @slavishelf
      @slavishelf 14 днів тому

      it is the same expected value per spin, with 0 and 00 on the table, you will lose 1/19 times or about 52 cents per $10 spin. Woody's way guarantees you lose in a very consistent fashion (every time), you could also bet $10 on a single number, lose $10 most spins, and then spike a $360 payout once in a while. Over long enough time it's the same thing.

    • @woodytravels
      @woodytravels  3 місяці тому +2

      @money_alexxx You can increase your bet to get enough tier credits for Diamond more quickly. My examples were based on a $9.50 bet (quarter on each space), but for example, betting $1 on each space will reduce your spins by a factor of 4.
      If you're trying to do this as quickly as possible, this game also does not require you to wait for each outcome. You can turbo press the button to play game after game in quick succession.
      As for the video terminals. All of them at the bar in Horseshoe have the game, as well as the main bar in Paris. There may be others, but those I know for sure.
      And thanks so much for watching and subscribing. Very much appreciated.

      I don't believe so, otherwise this method would show up more for ways to get status at all the various properties. Although I haven't confirmed this, supposedly offsetting bets are not always allowed on video roulette, or if they are, those roulette games won't give you any tier credits. That is why this set of Video Roulette games appears to be an exception to the rule.

      @dtitan1993 The yearly 10x Tier event just finished up in Las Vegas, August 26th - 30th. I think there is an upcoming 5x Tier event in Vegas October 14th to the 18th though. Cheers!

  • @ziyaa2018
    @ziyaa2018 3 місяці тому

    Is your calculation for the 5x multiplier correct? I believe you would only need to earn 2,500 TC to reach Diamond in a day, bringing the cost down to $1316. 2,500 TC in a single day x5 = 12,500 and then you get the 5,000 TC bonus taking you to 17,500 total.
    I'm heading to Vegas over Christmas, where I'm lead to believe that there will be a 5x event and have been planning how best to reach diamond status -I'm currently sat at 2,600 TC. A single day VP grind, taking advantage of the daily TC bonus, should be (in theory at least) the cheapest method however it's also going to take HOURS and no doubt become hugely boring and tiring. As a result I had been planning to split the play over at least two, if not three or four days however I'm now wondering whether I should grind out as many points as I can in a single day VP session and then quick fire some roulette spins so I do hit my target in a day.

    • @woodytravels
      @woodytravels  3 місяці тому +1

      @ziyaa2018 Your calculation appears correct. In my video I think I only calculated the 10x multiplier with the Diamond in a day to get the lowest cost. But $1316 is what I calculated too with the 5x Multiplier plus the D.I.A.D.
      I'm on my way this weekend to try for Diamond and possibly Diamond Plus, with the 10x event starting on the 26th.
      You may be able to split your play over 2 days, getting 1000 tier credits the first day, and just under 1100 the second, which with what you already have, should get you to diamond also. (Based on a 5x Tier event)
      Good luck, and enjoy the ride getting there!

    Great info, confusing is that going in on a 10x tier multi and getting the 24 hour tier bonus, wouldn't that be only 500 tier credits needed for diamond? 500tier x 10 = 5000, plus 10k bonus = 15k?

    • @woodytravels
      @woodytravels  3 місяці тому

      @MrTKO I originally figured it this way, but the points last year did not get calculated in this fashion. It appears that Caesars doesn't calculate a 10x multiplier and the 24 hour tier bonus together. So for example, if you were to naturally get 1000 tier credits in a 24 hour period, and during the 10x tier event, the math would look something like this. 1000 Tier Credits (in 24 Hours) x Bonus of 1000 additional Tier Credits = 2000 Tier Credits. Then they would also calculate the 1000 tier credits x 10x Tier multiplier = 10,000 tier credits. Then they add the two together to get 12000 tier credits. Which is still short 3000 credits from Diamond.

    • @MrTKO
      @MrTKO 3 місяці тому

      @@woodytravels so pretty much the 24hour bonus is not going to work with the 10x event so in turn we need to get 1500 tier credit hence your calculations of $750or so to get diamond.

    Playing video poker poorly would give you much better odds than roulette. Learn to play vp well, and your odds will improve even more. Play a multi hand vp machine for diamond in a day or point multiplier events. Play the best schedule you can find at the lowest denomination. Much less risk than literally donating money to roulette.
    BTW, a word to the wise about 10x multiplier events: It will be crowded and the machines you wan to play will be in high demand. Have some backups in mind!

    • @woodytravels
      @woodytravels  4 місяці тому +1

      Video poker is probably my favourite game when visiting Vegas, and I play a lot. I'm no where near a perfect player, but would say I'm maybe a touch above average. However in my time playing, I've never been able to accumulate the number of tier credits that the method in this video shows. The problem comes down to volatility. Yes, you can find a video poker machine with 98% RTP. But this number represents the percentage over a very large number of hands. In the short term, if you put $1000 into a video poker machine, you could lose it all in 20 minutes (Witnessed by @TheJackpotGents, who I would say play video poker at close to perfect.).
      In the method in this video, there is zero volatility. With optimal tier multipliers, put in just around $750 and walk away with Diamond status. Whereas with video poker and the same amount of buy-in, you might come out with the required number of tier credits, but you may not. Even playing perfectly.
      Now is it more fun to play video poker to get your tier credits? Absolutely. But can you put in $750 and guarantee diamond status? Absolutely not.
      To your point about the 10x tier multiplier events. Although when i was in town for the last time they had this event, I was surprised that machines weren't as busy as I expected. However you make a great point that you should have backup games or play at off times to get around the influx of traffic.
      Cheers!

    Be aware, there are 3 levels of diamond, diamond basic virtually gets you nothing but some discounted rooms and free parking, if you are not gambling after reaching diamond and think they will give you complimentary rooms for the rest of the year it probably wont happen. Free rooms for basic diamond on busy holidays may put you in the low end hotels, good luck for Caesars, planet hollywood, or Paris.

      @woodytravels  Місяць тому

      @golfgambler Thanks for commenting and the tip. I was aware of the 3 levels, and last year, had only made it to the basic Diamond level. At that time, I seemed to get a larger selection of better hotels to chose from. My guess is that when you first reach Diamond, Caesars doesn't have enough data on you, so gives you a bit more, in hopes of your gambling level will will match. However, if you don't play enough, they will dial back the perks to the lesser quality resorts, and fewer weekend/holiday times.
      This year, I was able to get to Diamond Plus, and will update this channel should I see an uptick in comps. Cheers!

      @woodytravels  3 місяці тому

      @nobazn Thanks for commenting! Unfortunately that would not work, as each video terminal generates its own roulette spin, so playing black on one and red on the other could result in both spins losing. I know this is something done at the roulette tables, but is frowned upon, and can get you kicked out if they catch you playing together. Also, keep in mind that you also would have to bet the 0/00 or you risk the loss of a spin even if you could cover both black and red numbers. Cheers!

      @lucy2die How do you know that timeframe for this to go away? Based on the fact that Roulette is showing up on a good portion of the curved Video Terminals, it seems odd that they would pick a date to remove the game. If they were concerned it was being abused, they would have done this long ago I would think. And I also have seen the game in MGM properties, and at Resorts World, as well as Fountainebleau. How long does it take to do 3,000 (or worse yet, 5,000) video roulette spins? Sounds like a (really boring) job to me, esp. given you know the outcome of every spin is going to be a 50 cent loss. Wouldn’t it make more sense to max out the wager amount and accumulate more tier credits per spin?

    • @woodytravels
      @woodytravels  4 місяці тому +1

      @thevoiceofreason5589 Absolutely you can increase your bet amount to reduce the number of spins. Although I'm not 100% sure, casinos will use the wager and time played to affect the size of your benefits when you hit Diamond status. From what i have read, they generally like multiple hour sessions and will increase your amount of free play in your offers to match. So you may actually not get as much free play down the line if you make fewer, larger bets in smaller sessions.
      And don't forget that you can move around between games to lessen the boredom factor. I'll play a bit in Video Poker, then move to roulette, then back. And all the while, getting free drinks.

    Why not just skip betting on the single and double zeros. Each number should pay 36-1 so you would break even and only have a 1 in 19 chance of hitting the 0s and not getting paid. It might be cheaper doing it that way. Or just learn the jacks or better video poker strategy which is 99.5%. So house edge is ink half a percent. I’m not a fan of this method

    • @woodytravels
      @woodytravels  3 місяці тому

      @NickBham So your odds are right, and it makes perfect sense. Until you put it into practice, as I did 5 separate times on my most recent visit to Vegas. Removing the 0/00 reduces your odds to even money on a winning spin, however a 1 in 19 chance is still based on averaging that out over many, many spins. In each of my 5 sessions, I hit that 0 and 00 much more often than 1 in 19. My luck did not fare so well here. And that happened in EVERY session. 😂
      And that's the difference between knowing for absolute certainty what this method will cost you, as opposed to getting lucky and playing the odds. These odds only work if you can play hundreds of thousands of spins, which my bankroll could not sustain.
      On this same trip, I also played a LOT of video poker. A 99.5% VP game, unfortunately, is pretty hard to find on the strip. And even if it was easier, I just could not play enough hands to hit those percentages. Short term, even playing perfect strategy (And I may not be perfect), I was unable to amass the same amount of tier credits given the same amount of bankroll as in my Roulette strategy (Lets say around $750 bankroll to get 1500 credits x 10x Tier Event = 15K Diamond status)
      But of course it's Vegas, and the whole reason for going, is playing the odds, with hopes of beating those odds. I get it. And VP is much more fun to play than hitting the roulette spin button over and over again.😀
      Have fun!

      @woodytravels  3 місяці тому

      @rickcameron5506 I wish I could answer those questions. It doesn't make sense to me either that they don't offer the same Hotel comps to players living closer. The only thing that I can come up with is that 'you'd come to play regardless of those comps, because it's just easier for you to get there.' In my case, due to the distance, most trips to Vegas are more 'planned vacations', and because of that, they feel that they need to entice my demographic over vacationing elsewhere. But it if works, they've now been able to draw both of us to the property. A win win for them.
      But at the end of the day, if it means losing your play to gain my low-roller play, that's not a very smart business decision on their part.
      Have you tried tier matching over to MGM/Venetian/Wynn/Resorts World to see if they treat you any better?
