    I stay at the Linq every time I'm in Vegas. Cheap but somewhat nice rooms. Right in the middle of the strip too thats the biggest plus. If you're thinking about staying here, do it! You also get free entrance into the flamingo pool which is next door & huge.

    I stayed there once on an extremely short business trip. I chose the Linq because the room was 100% comped , when I am in vegas for fun, i gamble there. I checked in after midnight on the kiosk, went smooth. The room was extra clean and quiet once the door was short.

    You're right about customer service at Caesars properties. I'm diamond plus and we were there 3 weeks ago in a suite as usual. But... Over the course of 5 days we got locked out of the room nine times and had to walk all the way down to the diamond check-in. We were in the mountain Tower 😮 they did absolutely nothing. It was outrageous. I've been going there over 30 years. My host could still not give me an answer. What happened?

    As Caesars Diamond I don't pay resort fees, and I make 2-3 midweek solo stays per year. I stayed at LinQ once, but I care only about the room and the price. Flamingo is always my first choice if the room rate is OK. At LinQ, I didn't use the pool or eat at any of the restaurants, so it was more than OK. My room was at the end furthest from the Strip, so noise from the pool was minimal.

It does feel like going back in time despite all the modern features around you at the public places at Caesars. Wish i could hear more tales from people who have stayed there in days gone by.

    Thanks for the review. You can’t beat the price and location. The vibe is obvious that this is a value and young people place. For someone like me who spent most of my awake time outside of the hotel, this is great value. Not to mention the alley next door with all that food options. We have had a lot worse hotels at South Lake Tahoe for ski trips for prices way higher than this. The AC is ok, again, compared to most business hotels. The first night we had a room where a piercing metal cutting noise lasted the entire night, we were moved to a different room, much better. That was room 19066, be aware. Customer service was fine, maybe because we didn’t get into any busy traffic. Overall, I wouldn’t avoid Linq, it is what we paid for.

    I stayed there a year ago. Won't stay there again! Just like you said... Customer Service sucks! I almost had a bad accident in the room when the wall hanging fell off. When we called to report it the person at the desk couldn't understand what we were trying to tell them they thought something had fallen from the ceiling and they sent maintenance up. Maintenance took the wall hanging with them but left the mess behind because the whole frame fell apart. Probably won't ever stay there again unless we really need to go for a cheap room. This place definitely goes by the motto of you get what you pay for.

    Stayed at the Linq for a few nights last year because we got a rate of $18 per night (plus the usual hidden fees) and our main hotel Mirage (was unavailable for a couple of nights). It's probably the worst Vegas hotel I've stayed in because the bar is high but if you want a cheap hotel with a great location then it's good. The pool was pretty busy with a DJ which we liked however there weren't really any busy bars inside - these were on the Linq Boulevard just outside. The rooms were very basic but fine for a couple of nights and great value. Worst part was the check in which was an awful experience and the lack of cleaning service (who didn't come until we complained multiple times).

    I stayed at the linq on my first vegas trip. Had a pool view room so it was LOUD during the day. If you only use your room to sleep it's fine. I paid up for the king suite which is identical to your room other than only 1 bed. I wish it had a bathtub though.
    I stayed at mandalay bay my second trip and was able to check in just after noon with no fee. If that hotel was center strip it would be more than double the price per night and worth it.
    My most recent trip I stayed at horseshoe 2 weeks ago. It is a much better value than the linq IMO, especially if they are almost the same price. It's connected to Paris with higher end dining and in a slightly better location than the linq. Also the home to the WSOP. I saw legends of the game playing for millions from literally 10 feet away.
    I might stay one fewer night and pay for an MGM property for my next trip but caesars is throwing deals at me for less than half the price of MGM's midrange hotels like NYNY. That's what would keep me coming back.

      I've just made it to Diamond tier again for next year (been Diamond since 2017), but not sure if I'll renew, so to speak, after 2024, or focus my time and resources elsewhere, like MGM or Palms. I only stay at PH or Paris anyway, but Caesars resorts do have an enormous amount of video poker, so I might miss out on that.

    What do you think the chances are your account was flagged after the Harrah’s video and they were stalling you until they could get you into their best and cleanest room at the Linq? Just found it odd you used the kiosk and then were directed to an ambassador. I mean, at least they are making some effort at PR if that’s what happened.

    • @ShowMeVegas
      @ShowMeVegas  10 місяців тому +1

      Nah. If they did that on purpose they definitely wouldn’t have directed me to a person that then steered me wrong. She told me the room was ready but I couldn’t have it yet unless I paid the early check in fee and to come back and get back in the kiosk line at 3:30. At 3:30 the kiosk assigned me the wrong room type. Then they told me over the phone to come back and wait in line AGAIN to speak to somebody in person. Then they STILL weren’t able to give me the room I booked because those rooms weren’t going to be clean until almost 7:00 pm. If they had me flagged in their system and they STILL screwed everything up that badly, they’re even more incompetent than I’m already giving them credit for.

      @@ShowMeVegas yeah. Guess I must have glossed over that watching it. I keep wanting to believe they’ll pull their head out and do something that makes sense for their reputation for once, but it sure doesn’t look like it. When even Caesars Palace can’t get you checked in right, you know the hope is dimming. The bankruptcy must really be tearing them a new one, or top management has completely taken their eye off the prize, or both. The potential is being wasted, that’s for sure.

I saw a mom and two sleeping kids crouched in a corner by the cabinets with a line stretched around 2 turnstiles. I asked them how they can treat human beings this way.
