Well telling yourself theses things is better than believing negatively is it not And yes you can fool and trick the brain that’s the best way to change. I like to smile when things go wrong so that my brain says, “what? You like this? Ok then everything is fine after all”. Yes you have to FEEL that tho.
@@avenger4891 is that the case? or is this another trick of the inferiority complex? constantly needing "proof". It sounds like ur combining intellectualization symptoms with inferiority complex symptoms.
Nah mate , doesn't work for me... Sometimes, bad thoughts about myself just come in involuntary... It always happens when I'm around people, or when I'm the center of attention. I just feel like fkn disappearing , and my break shuts down. It's really hard for me to take part in social situations without feeling that I'm some sort of worthless piece of sht . I know I can do much better ,but that itself becomes irrelevant whenever I take actions . Everything just sucks...
This made me cry...Cause I realized how much Ive been putting myself down and how its made my like turn for the worst at the moment. Thank you so much for the mirror tip. Im gonna try this out. God bless!
@Emilia Romagna, I've had the same problem in the past (mainly in High School). A few years later and I'm much better off. My personal recommendation would be to look back at all your past accomplishments, and if you don't know of any then my advice is to make some. Join a club, learn a skill (don't forget to study up on it to make it better.) Devote yourself and you'll have accomplishments racking up in no time flat. At the very least just remember that you were a winner since before you were born. You were the fastest, strongest sperm to reach and fertilize your mother's embryo. That means you beat 10,000's of potential beings just to be born. If you can beat the odds 10,000 / 1 then what can't you do when you put your mind to it?
you have achieved true self worth when you can brush off what they say without FEELING the need to attack back. (RM not saying anything back is NOT the same as not feeling the need to say)
Hi Martin! Thank you so much for this video! There has been a lot of drama at college with girls ( you know how that is) where they don't like you for no reason and it really brings me down. But this video helped me see the best in me so I can stop feeling like they have the power to bring or shake me down. Thanks Martin! You are inspirational and cute hahahah

Thank you so much for this. I used to meditate daily to cope with pain, but through this ritual, I began to love myself for the first time. The stress of life and dealing with addiction made me lose sight and allowed me to forget that understanding of self love and self worth that so few people in this world seems to possess. Thank you again.

Thank you for this… I've had an inferiority complex when it comes to talking to UA-camrs, big or small… and I just posted what felt like an absolute embarrassment of a post on Tumblr where I talked about wanting to be this UA-camr's friend. Not because he's well known mind you, but because he seems like someone Id like to talk to on a regular basis… and I felt so embarrassed… but I went to a mirror and told myself "they're no different from you, they're a human just like you" and told myself that constantly until I calmed down about my post and felt better about what may or may not come out of him possibly reading that post…

Can anyone relate too? wrong not anyone can relate inferiority complex, inferiority complex is extreme of the extreme feeling of lack of confidence. my cousin is suffering from this he is even afraid of taking job interviews because of fear
My last job ended badly and although I think walking out was the best decision I could have made at the time my confidence was completely shattered to the point where I've actively feared getting another job for over a year thinking it will end the exact same way. I'm due to start my new job on Monday and although I'm absolutely terrified I feel this is the right step to get over my complete lack of self worth. I appear to be working with some genuinely nice people this time instead of the pricks I was working with before and I'm somewhat looking forward to it. I suppose what I'm trying to get at is, don't let one bad experience stop you from moving forward.
Wow sorry to hear you had to deal with that in the past but so stoked and excited for you new job! I love that. It's true. Same deal when you're dating people, it doesn't make sense for one bad relationship to ruin the rest! Good luck with your new job! :)
Dear Martin, This is a great suggestion. It's a bit hard because I want to be true to myself, but the career that I am aiming for in the future, I feel I don't have those personality traits. I like to dream, but then when I come to reality, I'm like.. eh I'm not as outspoken as I thought I was, so I must try to overcome it. I need help - so, I'm an art student right? I surround myself with other artists daily since I'm a student, and I can literally never stop comparing myself and what I do to them. It's literally gotten to the point where I feel unmotivated to draw because I don't think my stuff is good enough compared to theirs. It doesn't help that I always get teased about my work ethic by some of the other kids in my class, it just makes me feel worse. Please someone give me advice, I wanna feel good about my passion again. ps - sorry if this comes off sounding whiny, i really don't mean it to sound like that.
Feeling inferior isnt because YOU started telling yourself youre bad etc. The only reason we have this inner monologue is because we were taught/believed this because of the way others, usually our parents, teachers or peers in primary and secondary school treated us.
Thank you for sharing your videos, they are really awesome! From the looks of it, you have been through all of this before and with the help of God have overcome it! It's nice to know that know you share what you have overcome with others. Keep up the good work! Blessings! :)
great video, it's very insightful. I also love how you have psycho cybernetics in the background. I'm reading that right now. loving it so far. thank you
if someone calls you out and you feel insecure, like with cutting hair so no thanks my hair is beautiufl -feeling the need to attack them means you feel insecure still andnot enough self worth in it. -maybe before they said it you were starting to think it looks good and after they say it you may feel down and suddenly even tho same hair , it looks worse for some reason. _____ you have achieved true self worth when you can brush off what they say without FEELING(RM NOT SAYING is not the same as not feeling) the need to attack back. Meet all their remarks by saying things not normally socially acceptable, call yourself beautiful in front of other, say you will be rich in the future in front of others it doesnt matter whether or not you or anyone belives it But the act of saying it esp in a social settings really helps to reinfornce self worth. Its like muscle memory training, at peak of the exercise when body is most tired = when the body will most remember the mototr functions you are doing so if you wanna train a specific movement with good form, make sure to do it all the time BUT most importantly to do it under the most extreme moments
Something to remember is... "O Son of Being! Thou art My lamp and My light is in thee. Get thou from it thy radiance and seek none other than Me. For I have created thee rich and have bountifully shed My favor upon thee." ~ Baha'u'llah, The Hidden Words. Baha'i Faith
I feel so grateful that I am awake to my inner SELF, I just struggle with people who are not, do you have any advice on how to deal with that, I can't try to convert everyone because i'd get locked up haha
MusicJunkie Hooper Hahaha I know what you mean! Honestly, what I've found is that it's hard to change people who don't want to. The best way is to live the example and hope that through who you are as a person you'll inspire others to seek out answers from you or begin to awaken to that inner self :)
+PeakYourMind didn't you thought of something similar to praying to god?i just see similarities thats all.i remember old folks praying and words are similare
PeakYourMind great video and thanks for helping me overcome my inferior complex as I did feel like that compared to all the other people in my school cause everyone around me was already taking a class that was ahead of where I was at when they were the same age as me and I always felt like the person inferior because I wasn't as advance as they were. In return I was feeling jealous about their achievements and I acted like someone that tried to tear them apart not knowing because of jealousy towards their achievements. Being to now deal with these issues I now am feeling better.
I am good at academics and other co-curriculurs too but no matter what I do I always feel I am lacking behind and no Matter how much I keep telling myself I am good enough there's always a lil voice in my head that counterattacks all my positive points and I don't know how to get rid over it
bros" first, is my appreciation for the video... as much as I have got it in my Psych class but there are some elements you brought up that elevated me. second, for these two facts: the video itself and the copy I see (recognise) of Psycho-cybernetics on your table may I ask the rest list of your reads on that particular table. I hope I am not being extra... Thank you in advance
I'm afraid of asking too much from the world and of people. I don't want to be isolated and self-absorbed, because I still like caring about others. I'm so afraid of being self-centered, that I learned to constantly ask people questions, afraid that I might bore them if I talk about myself. It's ironic though, because I enjoy listening to others. I know my perspective is my responsibility, but I've yet to find an answer to these blockages. Any suggestions are appreciated.
I don’t know why but I got into a fight with the popular girl who used to be my friend. I am just scared of going back to school because she doesn’t like me and I’m scared that she will make me feel left out by driving other girls away from me. She has so much poorer because everyone at my school is her friend except me. Dude I’m terrified what do I do?!
I am always so annoyed.my family always compares me to others and when other people put me down I feel inferior. I feel so frustrated and disappointed in myself and in my own mind I defeat that person in whatever then I realise that this is not the reality and I am so fucked up and it really elevates my anxiety level and I just keep thinking about it all day and feel even more inferior. I don't know what to
hi I like your videos and talks, however, please also talk about the adverse thing like what should we do if we are over confident about ourselves......cause not everybody needs the confidence, there are people who think they know better. How to deal with such people? how to change?
That happens to me, too. It's so stupid, I'll be having a great day and then all of a sudden my brain is like "Remember that really stupid thing you did 15 years ago? Ya, that was so dumb. I can't believe how dumb you are." .. Ya, thanks brain. You really know how to cheer me up.
Great video, and the world needs more people like you! But i have to ask, what's your education and why should we listen to you? I'm not trying to insult you just having a hard time formulating the question in a friendly way.
rand0m0mg Thanks! Haha no I get it, I appreciate the question. My background is in psych, and I only like talking about things where I feel like I can add value to people. Most of my knowledge comes from studying this stuff like crazy. I've been super into psychology and self-improvement and I've been studying and applying this stuff to see how it works for the past 7 years. The rest of the stuff I like to touch on is from personal experience, what helped me.
PeakYourMind Thanks for answering, im currently studying psychology and group dynamics and it all seems very abstract, and i appreciate you putting all that abstract knowledge into practical use and easy-to-digest information in videos like this one. Keep doing videos, and for more views: republish, republish, republish!
I've been watching public speaking videos because I'm an auctioneer... (I'm auctioneering for my second time tomorrow)But the whole time I needed this. I am worthy.
Idk if it's gonna work on me. I've heard that a lot, i also tried. But ut's just doesn't go away. From time to time, it's like getting more and more empty words for me
Yeah, when I was younger, I wasn't very good at socializing. So when I finally did have friends, I would try to be funny and make them laugh. And since I always talked a lot, I would talk a lot with my friends. But the teachers would always get mad at me for talking so much. So I gained a 'maturity' inferiority complex, thinking I was less mature than everyone else. So everytime I would see someone my age (that wasn't mentally disabled) acting less maturely than I, I would actually feel good about myself.
I'm totally sick. I compare my height with each and every person I saw daily.. I found myself very short even whoever I asked about my height they say it's not short.. I'm totally sick of my pessimistic mentality.. what should I do?
First, you're not sick. You just have a way of perceiving yourself that isn't supporting you or bringing out your best. Instead of just giving you the answer, tell me, what belief about yourself, if you adopted it, would make you feel great about yourself?
PeakYourMind I'm good observer and a good listener but I'm shy too and an introvert. The thing I like about myself is that everyone admires me and complements me.. But I hate my habit of over thinking passmistically and then giving anxiety and tension to myself for no reason at all
This doesn't really help. I tried telling myself that i can do it and that i can make it through college just like i have been doing in high school, i tried telling myself that looks don't matter and i can make friends with anybody, i tried telling myself that i'm smart enough to avoid embarrassing myself everywhere i go. But i have never been so wrong, i failed 4 courses in college and now starting over, i have no friends, and i keep embarrassing myself in front of people. And to top it all off i'm short and unattractive, things that will never change
You can tell yourself those things all day but if you don't believe them, they're not going to get you anywhere. HERE'S THE TRUTH: The past doesn't equal the future. But if you decide things will never change they won't. BUT if you decide to get off your ass and start taking control of your life and changing them then they will. Look at anyone who has made something of themselves. Anyone has has had the odds stacked against them. I'll be honest, I used to think the same way you do. Find what you're good at, everyone has something, develop it and share it.
I honestly love the purpose of this video, however, I was sincerely a bit doubtful on the second half. Don't get me wrong, I believe you are very right about the "alignment" part of the video, it's the closest thing to truth a person could deliver, still, you don't need to "self convince yourself", you need to give coherency to your personal story, that's what gives you freedom from the inferiority complex. When we are young, we often build theories that in that particular moment are helpful ("i am guilty, my mother is the good person" - didactical example ) , these theories, once you grow up, remain inside of your brain, and they shape your self perception. Understanding yourself, giving mercy to your past, to your old fears, to your own self judgment, giving them reasons that puts these old "ghosts" to final rest, that's what stops the inferiority complex to exist.
I cried when i found out this is whats been wrong with me all this time, im just so happy im not the only one. and that i can fix this

Yooo good stuff. Had this clip saved and came back to it. I noticed you havent upload no more?
I just found your UA-cam channel and I love it!
+hillary ross Welcomeeee! Thanks Hill!
You continue to inspire and amaze me (: thank you so much! I was wondering, what is your mbti personality type?
Feeling inferior isnt because YOU started telling yourself youre bad etc. The only reason we have this inner monologue is because we were taught/believed this because of the way others, usually our parents, teachers or peers in primary and secondary school treated us.
Thank you for sharing your videos, they are really awesome! From the looks of it, you have been through all of this before and with the help of God have overcome it! It's nice to know that know you share what you have overcome with others. Keep up the good work! Blessings! :)
great video, it's very insightful. I also love how you have psycho cybernetics in the background. I'm reading that right now. loving it so far. thank you
Jana Love Yeeee! It's not the most organized book but there's a ton of wisdom in there!
I like simplicity of your words, thank you for sharing and wish you and me to always find this moment of day of self worthiness
awesome. just having this watched made me feel better
NVMND That's what's up!! :)
THANK YOU for posting this!Subscribed.
+RapMuscleMan For sure!! Welcome man!
Thank you for making this video. It definitely made my night.
Of course! Stoked to hear that :)
I see that peaking out...Psycho-Cybernetics!
What a classic, buddy! Maybe my favorite book of all-time.
Frederick0220 Haha yup! It's bomb!
if someone calls you out and you feel insecure,
like with cutting hair
so no thanks my hair is beautiufl
-feeling the need to attack them means you feel insecure still andnot enough self worth in it.
-maybe before they said it you were starting to think it looks good
and after they say it you may feel down and suddenly even tho same hair , it looks worse for some reason.
_____
you have achieved true self worth when you can brush off what they say without
FEELING(RM NOT SAYING is not the same as not feeling)
the need to attack back.
Meet all their remarks by saying things not normally socially acceptable,
call yourself beautiful in front of other, say you will be rich in the future in front of others
it doesnt matter whether or not you or anyone belives it
But the act of saying it esp in a social settings really helps to reinfornce self worth.
Its like muscle memory training, at peak of the exercise when body is most tired = when the body will most remember the mototr functions you are doing
so if you wanna train a specific movement with good form, make sure to do it all the time
BUT most importantly to do it under the most extreme moments
With every video of yours that I watch, I become a better person. Thank you for that ❤️
AnimeFriendship Yeeeewwww! I absolutely LOVE that!!! :)
You're honestly such a great youtuber! :D This helped so much, thank you! :)
IndigoImogen Awh thank you so much!! I love that my vids have helped you out! :)
@donanelson thank you! Love that book! Idk if you can tell but it's actually sitting on my desk
PeakYourMind I need your help please help me...
Call me
Wow, what a beautiful human being you are. Thank you for sharing xo
I am good at academics and other co-curriculurs too but no matter what I do I always feel I am lacking behind and no Matter how much I keep telling myself I am good enough there's always a lil voice in my head that counterattacks all my positive points and I don't know how to get rid over it
I literally feel this every day... EVERYDAY...
Positive affirmations can really be amazing! Great video!!
Right?! Thanks man. By the way, I got your e-mail I'm working on a reply!
PeakYourMind Sounds great man looking forward to it!
This vid was great. If you can do more stuff similar to this, like motivational, that'd be great
***** Thanks! Yeah for sure, great suggestion

***** Chantal! Thanks love :)
bros"
first, is my appreciation for the video... as much as I have got it in my Psych class but there are some elements you brought up that elevated me.
second, for these two facts: the video itself and the copy I see (recognise) of Psycho-cybernetics on your table may I ask the rest list of your reads on that particular table.
Do you have any tips for beating yourself up about memories? I look back at stupid things I did in the past all the time and it seriously tears me up.
I am worthy.
absolutely brill. thanks so much for this channel and video. great.
Thanks Lucy! You're welcome! :))
How about making a video about people who constantly make you feel this way for their own amusement
Hey great advice bro! Thanks so much, love you Martin :)
Cool Video. Btw, was it just your personal opinion when giving tips or suggestions?
How can I get over my stage fright?
Thank you soooo much for all of those wonderful tips!
Lily Lenoire You're welcome Lily!!
But I hate my habit of over thinking passmistically and then giving anxiety and tension to myself for no reason at all
PeakYourMind Hey Martin, I really love your videos :) So i just wanna ask, what do you do for your career?
do we have to say these things out loud or?
Really good video, congratz :)
Everytime you feel low remember eleminate the comparison
You have great spirit.
Good vibes all around
THANK YOU , your videos are really helpful
Amela Sofradzjia You're welcome! :D
this helps me so much
This one kid is saying I'm a bully when really he is
That was a very beautiful video. I got alot from it. Thank you very much.
You're welcome! :)
@PeakYourMind thanks for the video! I just got back from a career fair and needed this video. Do you recommend any reading on this subject matter?
Hey Connor! For sure man, the book "The Total Self-Confidence" formula is killer. I'm sure the audiobook is on YT
I think it is important to see yourself as inferior to others. I find I respect people more that way.
This advice hasn’t worked for me. In fact, trying my best to apply it has increased my inferiority complex, which was already huge. Now what, please?
YES!!!!!! OVERCOME!!!! GO BEYOND!!! PLUUUUSSS ULTRAAAA!!!!
Thank you so much for this insightful perspective. :')
+Tati タティ Yeah for sure :)
Man I feel your energy, thanks 🔥🔝
@louis for sure! Love YOU!
You're reminding me of Mike Shinoda x3
oooooh shiny hair!😲
I liked your way. Keep Goin'
Bassem ElKashlan Thanks dude!
thx for your thought 😊
