It’s a way for me to let out the emotions that I cannot express easily, for the music is able to convey the emotions that I hold inside of me. I mean, what works for one person may not work for another, so this is just something that I personally think helps me. Other people may agree or disagree with me, but everyone takes care of their mental health in different ways. Taking a break from social media is the best. I live in Lebanon, after the explosion the media and live coverage are really putting me down. Just today a 15 years old guy died from his injuries. I just can’t take it anymore i just want this to come to an end. Every time i feel better it gets worse.
Anything you need to talk to about. Let it out. Who cares what others see it as. It’s what you see it as. You have control over your life. Tell them how you feel. You’ll make it through. Stay strong!!

I’ve put my mental health on hold for 3 years and it had gotten bad, well about a month ago I decided to make a change in my life and started working out, eating better only taking in positive vibes and attitudes and I have to say this is the best I’ve felt in so damn long. Thanks for the video 👍👍
It's true. Helping others generates more good which can start a huge wave of positive energy. Noticed that last year. I was volunteer working at many evetns and so much more. People shoud focus in others instead of themselves. I also quit using social media for a year which was life changing experince.

Music is probably my favorite way to cope with it, music has always had a huge impact on my life and has helped me through a lot of stuff. Totally, this is something we can all benefit from regardless of where we're at in our lives. For sure! I'm with you on that! Music can be SO therapeutic! Im on my own with the problems i have caused…my life doesnt deserve happiness only death anger and sadness death haunts me because id rather die weak than try to find the strength to keep on going theres no resson to find strength if your alone and have no purpose no more.
Doing for others might be helpful if that's not the reason you're depressed or burnt out. There's a lot of takers in the world and you can get taken advantage of. It's especially devious when you get subject to demands on your emotional labor a lot.
My battles is like a war in my head and overall health but no matter how bad the obstacles are you're strong and we'll get through this together 💘. Going for a run and listening to music helps me with my depression doing it everyday will make you feel more better then ever
I’ve been depressed for a while now and I’m just really scared of taking that next step to feel better because I fear what if I do get better but then I start to feel depressed again. I haven’t really had a happy childhood so I sometimes I feel I don’t have much to look forward to. I reached out to some helplines but I’m always afraid to talk about what I’m experiencing cause I don’t want to be judged.

We take care of our physical health a lot, as we think that's what people are going to judge us for, but actually our mental health is what reveals a lot about ourselves. If our mental health is right we treat others nicely, maintain our calm, not react but respond.

My anxiety and depression is terrible. For the last while, I've been focusing on each breath I take every second of every day, it affected my walking too and my mind is all over the place to the point where I'm going to panic and lose control. Anything I do to keep me busy doesn't work because my mind is fixated on this issue, causes me alot of stress and lightheadedness.

I started doing only the journaling as advised in this video and it has been super encouraging and helpful far. I typed the things I am grateful for in life and my memo pad on my phone. However, I will recommend taking off predictive text as the whole idea of the exercise is to be mentally aware of the listed. Trust me on this one writing typing every letter it's definitely a worth it. Thanking you you very much so kindly for an amazing video.

I always find myself back to square one, I can’t overcome my thoughts. My brain just keeps going & going & especially because I work from home & live by myself it’s so lonely & I struggle to get motivated. I over eat and cry all the time because I’m so empty and overweight but food literally comforts me, I can’t seem to come up with a routine for myself and it’s getting harder & harder everyday. I’ve been in a really bad place lately, I even quite smoking weed everyday to help me focus on work and school but it’s really hard cause I used it as a coping mechanism compared to when I used to Self harm. I even ended up crying out loud and my parents heard me and I feel bad cause now they are stressed about my emotions:/

That it's good to express how I feel through sad music, reading a book, watching a movie or something...

Awesome, Martin! I thought I would mention another exercise which goes into the practice of gratitude journaling that I have found to be extremely helpful. It’s called the ‘Gratitude Rampage’. You first start with being grateful for the smallest of things (fingernails, toenails, ankles, nail polish, tattoo) and then you work your way up! Kathrin Zenkina of ‘Manifestation Babe’ has mentioned this in an interview on Chris Harder’s podcast ‘For The Love of Money’. It truly works! Hope this is a helpful addition!

My depression got worse because of my insecurity of my own skin. Here in Asia, people are pressured to be lighter than they actually are, whether its family, friends, social media or just society in general, that's just how it is in Asia. Not gonna lie, I hate Asians, even myself for being one. I was bullied for being dark for like a year every single day in school. Even until now they will sometimes talk about my skin colour. Some more I'm not even that dark to be honest, I just have a very dark tan, I'm not born dark at all. Asians are stupid, in western parts of the world, people crave tan skin right? Idk why, but I really feel extremely ugly to have my skin tone. Is my skin really beautiful to your eyes? I have a orange brown skin, but I would say it's more to brown. To be honest, I tried to lighten my skin because of being bullied. Actually I did , and it didn't really work, maybe I got a few shades lighter, but I didn't really notice any difference. Spread some love if you think I should appreciate my skin tone and not lighten my skin. Or you can just like this comment.

I’ve been in a really bad place lately, I even quite smoking weed everyday to help me focus on work and school but it’s really hard cause I used it as a coping mechanism compared to when I used to Self harm. I even ended up crying out loud and my parents heard me and I feel bad cause now they are stressed about my emotions:/

I've been suffering with anxiety and depression for so long, and some of the tips your listing my friends told me not to do cuz they would make my depression worse, but I know deep down inside... That it's good to express how I feel through sad music, reading a book, watching a movie or something...

I appreciate your openness about using methods to have a good cry. Movies get me more over and over and I just let go. It took awhile, but letting go is freeing when it comes to something I am intentionally watching, or listening to (e.g., music). Great stuff, man. Keep it up!

I’m having trouble finding positive people to hang around. I tend to see people around the city that look very happy and positive like in commercials. I’m tempted to talk to them walking past me but I don’t know how to approach

I've just learned that the people we think are really perfect and happy have their own thousand problems and people don't look at us from the lens we do so don't be afraid
I have depression it has ruined relationships and almost 2 years ago i met my boyfriend who is trying to help since day 1 and I thought I tried to get better but I guess i didn't I don't want to lose him and I don't want to ruin our relationship so I have to get better he can't continue to waste his time on me like that he deserves better so I will be better

Some of my top books that you may or may not be interested in are: Meditations by Marcus Aurelius, The Mindfulness solution, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, and I'm currently reading 12 Rules for Life by psychologist J. Peterson. All of which are incredibly introspective books that promote self-awareness, agency, and personal success (both internally and externally)

Awesome, Martin! I thought I would mention another exercise which goes into the practice of gratitude journaling that I have found to be extremely helpful. It’s called the ‘Gratitude Rampage’. You first start with being grateful for the smallest of things (fingernails, toenails, ankles, nail polish, tattoo) and then you work your way up! Kathrin Zenkina of ‘Manifestation Babe’ has mentioned this in an interview on Chris Harder’s podcast ‘For The Love of Money’. It truly works! Hope this is a helpful addition!

My depression got worse because of my insecurity of my own skin. Here in Asia, people are pressured to be lighter than they actually are, whether its family, friends, social media or just society in general, that's just how it is in Asia. Not gonna lie, I hate Asians, even myself for being one.
I was bullied for being dark for like a year every single day in school. Even until now they will sometimes talk about my skin colour. Some more I'm not even that dark to be honest, I just have a very dark tan, I'm not born dark at all. Asians are stupid, in western parts of the world, people crave tan skin right? Idk why, but I really feel extremely ugly to have my skin tone. Is my skin really beautiful to your eyes? I have a orange brown skin, but I would say it's more to brown. To be honest, I tried to lighten my skin because of being bullied. Actually I did , and it didn't really work, maybe I got a few shades lighter, but I didn't really notice any difference.
Spread some love if you think I should appreciate my skin tone and not lighten my skin. Or you can just like this comment.
