I have the new sje093, 38mm 62mas recreation and I just stare at it, it’s so beautiful. I feel like you get such amazing quality and finishing with the higher end seiko’s and obviously GS.
Being a Seikohead, I loved this themed episode. Hoping down the line that Seiko make similar versions of the SLA055 (1968) and SLA049 (Willard) with the dates at 3 o’clock. If so, they’ll be my ultimate Seiko divers since the lug width is 20mm and the thickness is 13mm. The date at 430 hurts my eyes and heart. If they ever make an SLA version of the Monster, Oh boy! One can dream.
Got the sla043 and it's Truely a beautiful watch. Easily stands up to a Swiss rival for the price point. I got mine slightly used for under 2.5k so I'm happy.
@@azhanz I was lucky to get it at that price although the original straps, had been replaced by uncle seiko ones. I paid £2350 , a cheeky offer on eBay, and I was surprised he accepted it. New price is £4080, so it makes sense to buy nearly new. To be honest as much as I love it, 4k is a bit steep. They are getting rarer now , as most people who pay 4k for a seiko , actually really want one. I can't see me selling it ever , either because since I've had it, none of my other watches get a look in. I do use a seiko spb051 for everyday use , and I love that too. If you get the chance to get one for around 2.5k , I would , because I've a feeling these will go up in price in the years to come. The original sla017 , goes for around 4to 5k now, and was £3500 New. That's why I'm surprised you can pick up sla043 for under 3k now as these have the new steel and in that respect are nicer , as the steel looks like white gold.
@@martinharrison4245 There’s only 1700 of these out there. Future classic. The finishing is impeccable. More like grand seiko quality rather than a seiko. As “seikohead” i must add this in the collection. Hunting for a bargain :)
Is it just me or is that first Seiko crap...? It looks like the 12 o'clock marker and inner chapter ring are misaligned....possibly the rotating bezel too.
Some of the nicest Seiko's I've ever seen outside of a Seiko boutique. The quality really shines with these.
Oh wow ... what an outstanding Seiko collection.

Love seikos the Sal movement is a workhorse the only thing I cannot stand is it's not regulated. Great video
the SLA049 is a seiko uemura not the lower end willard.
Congrats on the wedding.
