Still can't rebind any keys other than g switch keys, and for some reason mouse 4 and 5 don't exist as keys by default. You can only use mouse 4 and 5 if you create a macro for both of them! It's so stupid. I never had these issues before with Razer synapse. Granted, Razers quality is garbage, but at least their software freaking worked! I feel like I downgraded from a $50 keyboard to a $200 one! It makes no damn sense!

Rebinding keys is a basic feature in most keyboard software like Razer synapse, and Neonk85 engine suite. There's no reason for Ghub to have such a fleshed out RGB programming interface and then cheap out on the stuff that actually matters. I like my new keyboard, but only having 5 rebindable keys is sub optimal at best, and switching memory modules is totally useless because of the lack of rebindable keys!
That's what I was about to say, really great ideas but it looks like they rushed the programming and made a pretty but slow and non-intuitive interface. And now nobody understands how to use it and it's buggy as hell.
I love how the G815 feels to type, for the build it does feel a touch flimsy and very limited with features compared to Corsairs K70. It’s lame how limited this thing is….and what’s the deal with G Shift?!? I though you’d be able to save 5 macros and then hold down Shift for an addition 5 within that profile. Looks like this can’t happen
For real, tried to make a second profile for a specific game and it just went back to default once I opened the game up… had to just edit my default setting… I like the mouse but this program thing is trash and doesn’t work. Pretty much just get one customization profile and that’s it
@@evilgoodness1 actually you can assign all kind of colors to each key. It is just waaayyy to complicated to understand how the developers intend us to use it. I am flabergasted how a company of the size of logitech is seemingly publishing software like this, without extensive end user tests.... In comparison to the former software this is far from intuitive, I am sorry to say. It needs a lot of try and error.
Logitech, i did downloaded G Hub and gave it a try... it is bad. The UX is complicated, it failed to import correctly my configuration from the "old app". I tried to re-construct some of the configuration profiles I had... I couldn't do it. Your documentation is bad. For an app as complicated as this one, you should add step-by-step / how-to achieve common tasks, not just pointing out what the stuff on the screen do. I had to uninstall it after 4 days...
@darok krauser You can't, their new mouses only work with G hub. I got the G502 lightspeed (my first logitech mouse) and have been confused as to how their software could be so terrible when everyone recommends logitech mice. After some research, it seems that everyone loved LGS and hates G hub. And I can confirm, LGS does not work with G502-LS. :(

bro i just got my new logitech keyboard and i cant even change my fricking name or install any profile and it eats 20% of my CPU power so i cant really use it but when i set my settings and close the program the settings stay the same so the program is very close to useless
@@ktm_im no... not at all.. if your using their gaming mouse for both gaming and productivity logitech gaming software is much better than Logitech g-hub. it is much more simple to setup "custom" keyboard functions on your mouse whereas G-hub only has a preset amount of keyboard functions that u can drag and drop onto your mouse buttons. and if your a windows power-user such as myself having the ability to setup weird keyboard functions and shortcuts on your mouse is extremely helpful in keeping my workflow fast and precise. I am forced into using g-hub now though because the Logitech g903 hero mouse is not detected inside Logitech gaming software and needs G-hub to allow basic customization. There are MANY more complaints like bugs and profile swapping being completely unintuitive but.... I can only complain and email Logitech and hope they read my emails and add back features that existed in their old software. G-hub may look nice on the outside but once you realize how much you are losing compared to LGS (Logitech Gaming software) I would rather have a more dated looking interface like LGS then deal with G-hub.

I have been a dedicated Logitech user for the last 20 years. My last purchases were the G910 Keyboard, the G903 Mouse and the G935 headset. I will not go into details, this is not a review, but the software behind all this is the worst thing I have seen in decades. It feels like I am trying to work with an 15 year old interface. NOTHING is simple. I basically use the software for lighting profiles, and although the old Logitech gaming software was/is not perfect, it was, and still is, way easier to use than G hub. I am getting ready to set up a new rig, so I figured what better time than now to change my peripherals as well. Sorry Logitech, it was fun, but this is too much. It's time for me to move on.
I was worried I am dumb for not knowing how to use this software, after reading everyone's else comments here I feel much better. This software is a nightmare! All about light syncing and what not - and weirdest functionality ever! I assign keyboard combination to my G600 and it doesn't work on the mouse!

First day user here, got the G815. Experience has not been the greatest as a lot of things didn't behave the way I expected them to behave. First things first: the Right Click function is used litterally nowhere. Which is extemely confusing to me as that would open up so many oppurtunities but it seems like it was chosen to abandon the right click button for the sake of it. Lightsync: 1. When choosing colors, you can save them but not delete them. Which is weird because if you save the same color multiple times, GHub "selects" all of the bubbles. Easily resolved by adding a right click function. 2. In the freestyle mode, I expected that when hovering over the keys it would show me that I am hovering over those keys, like it does in SteelSeries Engine. Which is the software I was using with my previous keyboard. So when I was playing around with the colors the first time I didn't quite understand how I could, or even if I could select single keys. 3. In freestyle mode, I would expect that when I click on a color from "colors on device" and then recolor keys on the keyboard it uses THAT selected color and not the one from the color brush. 4. In freestyle mode, I can't duplicate an effect whilst in when in animations I can. Which is a bit inconsistent. 5. In animations, I would like there to be a "ripple keypress" animation, like preset 6. But being able to edit that to your liking would be great. Assignments: 1. Your competitors are able to have a delay between keypresses of 15ms whilst in GHub the lowers appears to be 25ms. 2. When you create a new macro, select the type, click start now and select one of the options, there isn't a way to go back. You will first have to either first 'save' your made macro and then resetting it or deleting it all together. 3. When you've recorded a sequence of some sort, you can't move (parts of) it around. Other expected behaviour here is that when right clicking I can delete something, the only way of deleting something now is by clicking the function and then hitting the delete button on your keyboard. 4. I would have expected to be able to assign profiles to the M1-M4 buttons, but was only able to find that on the home screen which was confusing to me. Gaming mode: I don't quite understand why you would not give me the option of not disabling the windows keys. 5. I can't even remap all of my "normal" keys some bizarre reason. General: 1. When getting the drop-down menu of the "Per-Profile Configuration" I would expect there to be an option to add a new profile. It greatly confuses me that that option is not there. I would also expect to be able to right click one of the profiles here and delete it. 2. I for the life of me do not understand why I can't change the settings when I am in on board memory mode. This mode confuses me in general because it almost completely defeats the purpose of the M1-M4 keys on my keyboard. Why can I not be in "normal mode" and switch to a different profile on my keyboard. You are litterally making it harder for me to change profiles for what to me seems no reason at all. 3. To contintue on the on-board memory mode: Why can I not change the lighting when I'm not in on board memory mode?? And to make it more confusing I can't change the stored custom lighting when I AM in on-board memory mode. Very weird to begin with and confusing as well. I also find it annoying that I can't for example use the "color wave" lighting on profile 3. 4. Not being able to change the default lighting profiles 1-7 is also a bit of a bummer. There's probably a lot of stuff I didn't even cover. It's safe to say I don't like GHub in the slightest. TL;DR: The software is utter garbage.
I recently bought G815 ang G502 KDA and love them both...from a hardware perspective. Software is, annoying to say the least. All I want from this software is one simple thing: to make a profile per game style once(for example fps, rts, profile1, etc.), assign a game to it(like in older version of software) and have it load when the game starts. The last part works, but everything else is very tedious. First, LG Hub DOESN'T AUTO DETECT THE GAMES(I'm on Windows 10 so it can't be more 'templatey') so I have to add each game manually if I want custom settings. That wouldn't be a problem if the software was done in a logical sense. Instead, I have to apply it's own profile and set up it's own button assignments and lighting for each keyboard AND mouse, because settings sharing between profiles is for losers. I don't want to upset my self any more so I won't talk about custom lighting settings and how a simple thing as a colour picker can cause so much frustration. Seriously, Logitech has some of the best hardware but software is getting worse.
What a relief to see I'm not the only one having difficulties with it... A relief as much as a disappointment as I could have great use of multiple profiles depending on the program I'm using.
"Automatically detects your games" It detected MS Word, and Mass Effect 3. It missed the 20 other games I have installed. GJ logitech....btw did u fix the headset firmware bricking bug? probably not.
Lol mine literally detected VLC and Minecraft, I haven't touched minecraft since 2012 it's somewhere deep in the recesses of my PC. Yet G hub detects it while not detecting dark souls, starcraft 2, portal, naruto storm 4, etc... wtf ghub? This is my first logitech mouse (g502 lightspeed) and I am disappointed in the software UI / UX so far, to say the least.
This is hands down, the worst app I have ever used. They need to legitimately fire whoever made it. Logitech Gaming Software was much better and out of spite, they even made it so that if G Hub detects you have, it won't let you use it. Awful.
It's great that we can do all these things, but I think there should be a more detailed video. Some of these parts just go too fast and you can't understand what to do without pausing and going back.
Have flagship keyboard, flagship mouse with mousepad and flagship headset for years. This software is the reason, why i change all of it now. It's like you have the best seats of the world in your car, but your car has no engine. So it's worthless. Logitech; Make a new software or just support the new hardware with old software, then we maybe come back to your gear.
Until you add support for the G13 , no real reason to add an additional program to run in the background. Now if you finally decide to make a successor to the G13 I would throw money at the screen.
Would be nice if you implemented the ability to create custom commands for mice on games you don't support... or for games your software somehow cant find across multiple SSDs other than the C drive.
Step 1 uninstwll ghub step 2 go on the question mark down below on the right on Logitech gaming software 9.02 and you'll see an arrow on the interrogation mark click on it and go on check updates and download the update and your recent products should work
I have the problem here when I have set up 2 or 3 profiles. When I change the profiles, the G keys are retained. But the color settings are all the same. If you change them, they will be the same on all profiles. For example: I want a red G logo on the keyboard for CoD and a yellow one for Gimp. and for another program a blue one etc. With the G502 Hero mouse the colors change to match the profile. Only on the keyboard all the colors are the same. I have the lock on the top left open. What is wrong? Thanks
This video should be pointed out to anyone who has never used Logitech device and is now forced to use this G-Hub software all because it definitely complicates things to getting started. For instance, at about 0:50 the video talks about ensuring that you are in the correct profile when editing "the right" settings. For new users, the G-Hub software automatically kicks whatever profile they are trying to edit back to the Desktop: Default profile in mere seconds making that near impossible. As for the Community of profiles, it seems that the G29 population is non existent or are they the ones that find the G-Hub software so infuriating that they uninstall it and install the Logitech Gaming Software instead?
mate i cant even use Logitech Gaming Software because it wont detect my 502 mouse, my G910 keyboard or my G935 headset, all the times i tried G-hub (including 2 different PC's) its nothing but problems, games wont load, my headset stops working, the mouse randomly reverts back to default, the mouse curser has a 3 second delay if i haven't touched the mouse in a few minutes and on and on, so basically i am forced to use all of my logitech stuff how it comes out of the box with no button mapping, also im not sure if this is a bug or just bad design but when i set my mouse up in G-hub and then ark up a game the mouse settings are all back to default because i now need to set in up in every single induvial freeken game, absolutely ridiculous!
i've just bought g502 hero less than a week and with g hub i cannot 1-change color as i want 2-no music interaction 3-assign task view on key will report more if anything change or happen more
While G Hub is aesthetically pleasing, it lacks the compatibility support of the LGS. Those of us that are still using older and discontinued products like the G13, are up a creek without a paddle. My G13 and G700 are necessities for me when I am gaming, and without support for those products, G Hub is a flashy waste of space.
My god, how are you not embarrassed by this software? It is shockingly bad. It doesn't even inherit mouse button assignments from the Gaming Software! Now I'm stuck in the situation where I need this for my G815 keyboard but I can't assign mouse buttons on my G402 because it is totally unclear what I'm supposed to do. Given that you knew this program is a steaming pile why didn't you allow people to keep using the Gaming Software as well for older peripherals?
Logitech, please add an option to light up or change a colour of a mouse/keyboard LED on mouse/button click, so that we can use that to measure input latency with a 1000fps camera by calculating time between the LED action and action in the screen.
I'm now in the process of getting rid of all my Logitech hardware. I see now how it's all overly dependent on your software to run properly. You all just created a stripped down version of LGS with a shop. Pathetic
I had this working for a grand total of 1 day, and now it doesn't even register my G432 Headset as existing, which is great. Either fix all this, or let LGS work with it. Over time, my headset and microphone quality have just dropped, and now I can't stop hearing my own voice in my head because THAT WAS A GREAT IDEA, It's one of the reasons I installed it in the first place, and now it's the bane of my existence.
I would suggest that anyone who intends to install G-Hub DO NOT import your old LGS Profiles ...Start from scratch. I have been playing around all week since I bought my G502 Lightspeed (only works with G-Hub) and have learned the hard way and had to re-install it several times because of the imported profiles. Since the last fresh install I have had none of the major issues I had when LGS Profiles were imported. There are still some serious glitches and dumb feature-less settings as well as the general UI design that makes you click on so many unnecessary pages to get anywhere. It's as if Logitech designed it as a Microsoft Touch UI while forgetting we are using a mouse as faster navigation. Many of the menus should be listed as tabs that open in the same viewport. As of v2109.5.20420 Every time you create a G-Shift command button assignment (I am using G6 binding to enable G-Shift) DO NOT assign any G-Shift action to the Primary Mouse button (left-click) ...because it will no longer allow you to edit or delete any other G-Shift button assignments once you have done that. It basically freezes any G-Shift assignments you have.
You guys should make a video that shows how to use ghub. All the ones I've watched you would think a person can read the guys mind on what he is talking about and we know how to use it. And your manuals suck to. Start at step one and go through all the steps. don't do step one then all the rest of the steps in what ever order you want. People are having problems they should not be having. I have a lot of logitech stuff and have always been happy with it until now. I bought the G502 lightspeed and it seems to work good. Just wish you guys would put out a video so I can use all the functions of ghub. I'm to the point of throwing the mouse in the garbage so I don't have to put up with ghub and if I do that I won't be buying anything logitech. I have been buying logitech for 20 years or more now so I have a lot of it. I could carry on for a long time about this but I am going to stop. I've been working in VFX for 30 years. I've used so much different software and I still can't figure out how to turn on on-board memory and actually adjust it without it turning off on-board memory. It's been 3 years I've had this mouse and I'm really looking forward to the day it breaks and I can use something else. Great video too, just speed past the bit we all want to see.
I dont know what's so bad about the software. Everything I have connected perfectly with the software and all features work fine with the software. Never had issues from the start.
Okay, this app suck but this is how you can assign key. Go to the Macros option>create a new macro and name the key say I want to assign Zoom in>No repeat(in my case) >record the keys (press ctrl +( + )no. key)>stop recording> drag the (Zoom in) command to the mouse button you want to assign. Hope this is helpful.
Not only is the g935 not supported by LGS, but G Hub is buggy, and every time my pc is shut off, it no longer detects any sound device. Only fix is to uninstall G Hub. Because of that it is unusable for me, and I cant tweak any settings on my headset because I cant use G Hub and its not supported by the old software...
Settings backup: Just once during an update, all settings including color profiles was reset to default, so before each update I make a backup for safety. Or maybe for when you want to format, or just to copy your settings/profiles to another pc... If you want you can disable automatic updates in Ghub's settings. (AppData folder is hidden) C:\Users\...you...\AppData\Local\LGHUB C:\Users\...you...\AppData\Roaming\LGHUB alternate links for copy/paste in a window: %userprofile%\AppData\Local\LGHUB %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\LGHUB So make sure to backup these 2 folders from time to time (or before downloading an update... lol)
I am a bit confused about the Per-Profile/Persistent lock vs the not locked. When I click the lock, I see the macro list change and mouse buttons change for the profile. Is there a dummy's guide on this somewhere?? Also, I dragged a profile from one app, onto another, but not all of the Macros were copied to the new profile. I see the new Profile, but not all the macros are there..
As a software engineer it pains me to see such a convoluted mess that G-HUB is. Also there is a trend of "bad product design" that I noticed on the more expensive Logitech peripherals. I have a g305 mouse which is perfect/performant/simple design, and a g915 keyboard which is the last keyboard I'll ever buy from Logitech ( useless G keys BADLY placed, invisible keycap symbols if illumination is off during BRIGHT daylight)
Dear logitech, here are just a few of the issues with your software, when editing settings for my G502: * The settings wheel at the top right should not be contextual, it should do the same thing every time. It's confusing to press the same button and get completely different results depending on what screen you're on. Clicking on the mouse does different things in onboard memory mode (it opens up the mouse configuration menu) as it does in managed mode (it opens up the profile editor). To access the same menu that you would access in onboard memory mode in managed mode you have to click on the mouse then the wheel in the top right, but you can't click on the wheel in the top right without clicking on the mouse, cause that's a different menu. * When I close the mouse settings menu, I end up in different places in the app depending on whether "onboard mode" is enabled or disabled. This happens regardless of whether I visited the mouse settings menu from the main menu or not. If I click on something that pops up a menu then close the menu I expect to be in the same place I started from. * I should be able to edit onboard profiles, just like I could with the old app. * I should be able to see the settings of onboard profiles, just like I could with the old app. * I should be able to press a key to assign that key to the button instead of looking through a dropdown. * Why are profile cycle and onboard profile cycle in two different places (middle of list and bottom of list) and do two different things? * Commands, Keys, Actions, Macros, and System don't make sense. For instance, why is Copy a "system" and not an "action" or "command" or "macro"? Why is "media play/pause" system and not a key? Wait, why is there also a "ctrl + C" copy "command"? What's the difference between "Copy" and "Ctrl + C"? * When I have multiple desktop profiles and I edit the lighting settings of one of them, they all change. Update: I found a youtube video that explained what the problem is. The "Lock" button was selected. I would never have figured it out myself, I didn't even notice the lock icon. A chain/link icon would be better suited. * Sometimes the Sensitivity (DPI) configuration shows the wrong DPI as the current value, when in fact the current DPI is some other value. * When you click on "Details" on a profile in the profile list, when you exit the details menu the profiles sometimes rearrange themselves, making it very confusing as to which profile is where. * When you go into a profile's settings and click on the name to rename, when you're done there's a big blue inviting button at the bottom that looks at a glance like a "CONFIRM" button. That's not what the button does, that's "Set as persistent". The "Delete" button also happens to be in the exact same position a "Cancel" button would be. This is very confusing and can easily result in a mistake. * In the macro edit screen, the "apply" button is where you'd expect it to be. But the button right next to it isn't "Cancel", it's "Reset". This is unfortunate placement. * When I rename a profile and click X, the changes are confirmed. But when I rename a macro and click X, it prompts me whether to save or discard. * What's the difference between "DPI shift" and "Go to DPI shift" (rhetorical question)? Go to DPI shift doesn't let me go back. A more useful function is "Toggle DPI shift" where if you click it again it goes back. * While you're in the macro editor, and you switch to another app to do something (like typing this here bullet point), sometimes the buttons remain held for some reason. * In the macro editor, if you try to create a macro for CTRL - SHIFT - MMB, it will show ctrl + shift as expected, but the middle mouse button changes the mouse cursor to a scroll icon and the macro does not appear to register the middle mouse. When you middle mouse again, the mouse cursor is normal again and the macro shows "CTRL - SHIFT". But if you click on "Show key down / Key up" you will notice that the macro is actually CTRL down - SHIFT down - MMB down - MMB up - MMB down - MMB up - SHIFT up - CTRL up. * However, if I try to record just SHIFT - MMB, it will completely fail to recognize the middle mouse button. So I have to create a CTRL-SHIFT-MMB macro and manually delete the CTRL. * In "would you like to save your changes" I only have yes and no, there's no cancel, so I have to exit the editor and enter it again if I forgot something. * The list of Keys in "Assignments" is almost, but not quite, alphabetical. * In the profile list, the mouse scroll is in the opposite direction as what would be intuitive. Scroll down gets you to the first profile and scroll up gets you to the last profile.
This program is to powerful, all it needs to do is show me the battery life left in my mouse/headset and custom map some mouse buttons but its like agent smith from the matrix, it has stopped so many programs from working, the only tip you need is uninstall this overly intrusive toxic program
I wish I can describe what I've cone through with G-hub due to the fact that I can't experience 7.1 audio. Even when I listen to Binaural audio it plays through both drivers. But plugging in my $10 cheap earphones, Binaural audio plays flawlessly. It's sad cuz my G933 cost me $200.... in South Africa our Salaries are average $650 p/m. So much for investing on headphones.
As far as I could see, this software only works on Logitech devices, but I didn't see anything about Logitech's G29 steering wheels, how could I configure my steering wheel?
This is the buggiest software i have ever had to use I just want to set the lighting and sensitivity on my mouse but i can't because it won't get passed the loading screen!
idk why ppl are saying it's complicated. yes - you need to learn at first, but as I started to dig into G HUB, my G915 became an incredible helper with my work, not only on games. So stop being lazy and start to adapt to new technologies, kids...

I don't get the hate, for me it works fine and have most of my peripherals from Logitech (G Pro keyboard, G Pro X headset and G Pro X superlight mouse. I think the people hating need to invest a bit of time to learn the software, it makes no sense that countless pros are using Logitech products if it's not working🤔
I have a g503 mouse and a brand new g635 headset but because I keep hearing my voice through my headset I had to download this application in order to turn off the sidetone.But guess what. It does not get pass through the loading screen and now I have to keep hearing my voice everytime I want to use my microphone.This is so frustrating!
It would improve productivity, but as any fast cat charging takes so much time to master keybinds for dragonriding just to put them into quick access slots on combo clicks. Some time ago not deeply explored setting 1:35. Some basic arduino programing 3:33.

@@evilgoodness1 actually you can assign all kind of colors to each key. It is just waaayyy to complicated to understand how the developers intend us to use it. I am flabergasted how a company of the size of logitech is seemingly publishing software like this, without extensive end user tests.... In comparison to the former software this is far from intuitive, I am sorry to say. It needs a lot of try and error.

Exactly. Logitech has been a clusterfuck of bad software for webcams, mice, etc. It's what they do. Sorta of like Creative Labs and AMD video drivers.

Logitech, i did downloaded G Hub and gave it a try... it is bad. The UX is complicated, it failed to import correctly my configuration from the "old app". I tried to re-construct some of the configuration profiles I had... I couldn't do it. Your documentation is bad. For an app as complicated as this one, you should add step-by-step / how-to achieve common tasks, not just pointing out what the stuff on the screen do. I had to uninstall it after 4 days...

I got the G502 lightspeed (my first logitech mouse) and have been confused as to how their software could be so terrible when everyone recommends logitech mice. After some research, it seems that everyone loved LGS and hates G hub. And I can confirm, LGS does not work with G502-LS. :(

@@ktm_im no... not at all.. if your using their gaming mouse for both gaming and productivity logitech gaming software is much better than Logitech g-hub. it is much more simple to setup "custom" keyboard functions on your mouse whereas G-hub only has a preset amount of keyboard functions that u can drag and drop onto your mouse buttons. and if your a windows power-user such as myself having the ability to setup weird keyboard functions and shortcuts on your mouse is extremely helpful in keeping my workflow fast and precise. I am forced into using g-hub now though because the Logitech g903 hero mouse is not detected inside Logitech gaming software and needs G-hub to allow basic customization. There are MANY more complaints like bugs and profile swapping being completely unintuitive but.... I can only complain and email Logitech and hope they read my emails and add back features that existed in their old software. G-hub may look nice on the outside but once you realize how much you are losing compared to LGS (Logitech Gaming software) I would rather have a more dated looking interface like LGS then deal with G-hub.

Back again a month later and I now have a pair of “Hyper X cloud 2” and they are way better than my Logitech g635 headphones

I have been a dedicated Logitech user for the last 20 years. My last purchases were the G910 Keyboard, the G903 Mouse and the G935 headset. I will not go into details, this is not a review, but the software behind all this is the worst thing I have seen in decades. It feels like I am trying to work with an 15 year old interface. NOTHING is simple. I basically use the software for lighting profiles, and although the old Logitech gaming software was/is not perfect, it was, and still is, way easier to use than G hub. I am getting ready to set up a new rig, so I figured what better time than now to change my peripherals as well. Sorry Logitech, it was fun, but this is too much. It's time for me to move on.

Should.
First day user here, got the G815. Experience has not been the greatest as a lot of things didn't behave the way I expected them to behave. First things first: the Right Click function is used litterally nowhere. Which is extemely confusing to me as that would open up so many oppurtunities but it seems like it was chosen to abandon the right click button for the sake of it.
Lightsync:
1. When choosing colors, you can save them but not delete them. Which is weird because if you save the same color multiple times, GHub "selects" all of the bubbles. Easily resolved by adding a right click function.
2. In the freestyle mode, I expected that when hovering over the keys it would show me that I am hovering over those keys, like it does in SteelSeries Engine. Which is the software I was using with my previous keyboard. So when I was playing around with the colors the first time I didn't quite understand how I could, or even if I could select single keys.
3. In freestyle mode, I would expect that when I click on a color from "colors on device" and then recolor keys on the keyboard it uses THAT selected color and not the one from the color brush.
4. In freestyle mode, I can't duplicate an effect whilst in when in animations I can. Which is a bit inconsistent.
5. In animations, I would like there to be a "ripple keypress" animation, like preset 6. But being able to edit that to your liking would be great.
Assignments:
1. Your competitors are able to have a delay between keypresses of 15ms whilst in GHub the lowers appears to be 25ms.
2. When you create a new macro, select the type, click start now and select one of the options, there isn't a way to go back. You will first have to either first 'save' your made macro and then resetting it or deleting it all together.
3. When you've recorded a sequence of some sort, you can't move (parts of) it around. Other expected behaviour here is that when right clicking I can delete something, the only way of deleting something now is by clicking the function and then hitting the delete button on your keyboard.
4. I would have expected to be able to assign profiles to the M1-M4 buttons, but was only able to find that on the home screen which was confusing to me.
Gaming mode:
I don't quite understand why you would not give me the option of not disabling the windows keys.
5. I can't even remap all of my "normal" keys some bizarre reason.
General:
1. When getting the drop-down menu of the "Per-Profile Configuration" I would expect there to be an option to add a new profile. It greatly confuses me that that option is not there. I would also expect to be able to right click one of the profiles here and delete it.
2. I for the life of me do not understand why I can't change the settings when I am in on board memory mode. This mode confuses me in general because it almost completely defeats the purpose of the M1-M4 keys on my keyboard. Why can I not be in "normal mode" and switch to a different profile on my keyboard. You are litterally making it harder for me to change profiles for what to me seems no reason at all.
3. To contintue on the on-board memory mode: Why can I not change the lighting when I'm not in on board memory mode?? And to make it more confusing I can't change the stored custom lighting when I AM in on-board memory mode. Very weird to begin with and confusing as well. I also find it annoying that I can't for example use the "color wave" lighting on profile 3.
4. Not being able to change the default lighting profiles 1-7 is also a bit of a bummer.
There's probably a lot of stuff I didn't even cover. It's safe to say I don't like GHub in the slightest.
TL;DR: The software is utter garbage.
I recently bought G815 ang G502 KDA and love them both...from a hardware perspective. Software is, annoying to say the least. All I want from this software is one simple thing: to make a profile per game style once(for example fps, rts, profile1, etc.), assign a game to it(like in older version of software) and have it load when the game starts. The last part works, but everything else is very tedious.
First, LG Hub DOESN'T AUTO DETECT THE GAMES(I'm on Windows 10 so it can't be more 'templatey') so I have to add each game manually if I want custom settings. That wouldn't be a problem if the software was done in a logical sense. Instead, I have to apply it's own profile and set up it's own button assignments and lighting for each keyboard AND mouse, because settings sharing between profiles is for losers. I don't want to upset my self any more so I won't talk about custom lighting settings and how a simple thing as a colour picker can cause so much frustration.
Seriously, Logitech has some of the best hardware but software is getting worse.
What a relief to see I'm not the only one having difficulties with it... A relief as much as a disappointment as I could have great use of multiple profiles depending on the program I'm using.
Oh believe me. Everyone is having difficulties with it. The only one is who is denying that there is any problem is Logitech.
"Simply" There really isn't anything simple about any of this other than syncing the lights maybe.
"Automatically detects your games" It detected MS Word, and Mass Effect 3. It missed the 20 other games I have installed. GJ logitech....btw did u fix the headset firmware bricking bug? probably not.

Lol mine literally detected VLC and Minecraft, I haven't touched minecraft since 2012 it's somewhere deep in the recesses of my PC. Yet G hub detects it while not detecting dark souls, starcraft 2, portal, naruto storm 4, etc... wtf ghub? This is my first logitech mouse (g502 lightspeed) and I am disappointed in the software UI / UX so far, to say the least.
I'd love to dive into these features if the software actually loaded properly.
4 years later and mine still breaks and is unable to launch every few months. Great job Logitech.
I've switched back to LGS today. So happy i can tweak my g600 easily now.
This is hands down, the worst app I have ever used. They need to legitimately fire whoever made it. Logitech Gaming Software was much better and out of spite, they even made it so that if G Hub detects you have, it won't let you use it. Awful.

It's great that we can do all these things, but I think there should be a more detailed video. Some of these parts just go too fast and you can't understand what to do without pausing and going back.

This software is the reason, why i change all of it now.
It's like you have the best seats of the world in your car, but your car has no engine. So it's worthless.
Logitech; Make a new software or just support the new hardware with old software, then we maybe come back to your gear.
Until you add support for the G13 , no real reason to add an additional program to run in the background. Now if you finally decide to make a successor to the G13 I would throw money at the screen.
Would be nice if you implemented the ability to create custom commands for mice on games you don't support... or for games your software somehow cant find across multiple SSDs other than the C drive.

when ghub does not boot corrupted windows, it loses configuration and is in infinite load, the worst program I've ever used.
You need to boot safe mode and delete logi_core_temp.sys

I have the problem here when I have set up 2 or 3 profiles. When I change the profiles, the G keys are retained. But the color settings are all the same. If you change them, they will be the same on all profiles. For example: I want a red G logo on the keyboard for CoD and a yellow one for Gimp. and for another program a blue one etc. With the G502 Hero mouse the colors change to match the profile. Only on the keyboard all the colors are the same. I have the lock on the top left open. What is wrong? Thanks
This video should be pointed out to anyone who has never used Logitech device and is now forced to use this G-Hub software all because it definitely complicates things to getting started. For instance, at about 0:50 the video talks about ensuring that you are in the correct profile when editing "the right" settings. For new users, the G-Hub software automatically kicks whatever profile they are trying to edit back to the Desktop: Default profile in mere seconds making that near impossible. As for the Community of profiles, it seems that the G29 population is non existent or are they the ones that find the G-Hub software so infuriating that they uninstall it and install the Logitech Gaming Software instead?
mate i cant even use Logitech Gaming Software because it wont detect my 502 mouse, my G910 keyboard or my G935 headset, all the times i tried G-hub (including 2 different PC's) its nothing but problems, games wont load, my headset stops working, the mouse randomly reverts back to default, the mouse curser has a 3 second delay if i haven't touched the mouse in a few minutes and on and on, so basically i am forced to use all of my logitech stuff how it comes out of the box with no button mapping, also im not sure if this is a bug or just bad design but when i set my mouse up in G-hub and then ark up a game the mouse settings are all back to default because i now need to set in up in every single induvial freeken game, absolutely ridiculous!

While G Hub is aesthetically pleasing, it lacks the compatibility support of the LGS. Those of us that are still using older and discontinued products like the G13, are up a creek without a paddle. My G13 and G700 are necessities for me when I am gaming, and without support for those products, G Hub is a flashy waste of space.

My god, how are you not embarrassed by this software? It is shockingly bad. It doesn't even inherit mouse button assignments from the Gaming Software! Now I'm stuck in the situation where I need this for my G815 keyboard but I can't assign mouse buttons on my G402 because it is totally unclear what I'm supposed to do. Given that you knew this program is a steaming pile why didn't you allow people to keep using the Gaming Software as well for older peripherals?

I'm now in the process of getting rid of all my Logitech hardware. I see now how it's all overly dependent on your software to run properly. You all just created a stripped down version of LGS with a shop. Pathetic

I had this working for a grand total of 1 day, and now it doesn't even register my G432 Headset as existing, which is great. Either fix all this, or let LGS work with it. Over time, my headset and microphone quality have just dropped, and now I can't stop hearing my own voice in my head because THAT WAS A GREAT IDEA, It's one of the reasons I installed it in the first place, and now it's the bane of my existence.

I would suggest that anyone who intends to install G-Hub DO NOT import your old LGS Profiles ...Start from scratch. I have been playing around all week since I bought my G502 Lightspeed (only works with G-Hub) and have learned the hard way and had to re-install it several times because of the imported profiles. Since the last fresh install I have had none of the major issues I had when LGS Profiles were imported.
There are still some serious glitches and dumb feature-less settings as well as the general UI design that makes you click on so many unnecessary pages to get anywhere. It's as if Logitech designed it as a Microsoft Touch UI while forgetting we are using a mouse as faster navigation. Many of the menus should be listed as tabs that open in the same viewport.
As of v2109.5.20420 Every time you create a G-Shift command button assignment (I am using G6 binding to enable G-Shift) DO NOT assign any G-Shift action to the Primary Mouse button (left-click) ...because it will no longer allow you to edit or delete any other G-Shift button assignments once you have done that. It basically freezes any G-Shift assignments you have.

You guys should make a video that shows how to use ghub. All the ones I've watched you would think a person can read the guys mind on what he is talking about and we know how to use it. And your manuals suck to. Start at step one and go through all the steps. don't do step one then all the rest of the steps in what ever order you want. People are having problems they should not be having. I have a lot of logitech stuff and have always been happy with it until now. I bought the G502 lightspeed and it seems to work good. Just wish you guys would put out a video so I can use all the functions of ghub. I'm to the point of throwing the mouse in the garbage so I don't have to put up with ghub and if I do that I won't be buying anything logitech. I've been working in VFX for 30 years. I've used so much different software and I still can't figure out how to turn on on-board memory and actually adjust it without it turning off on-board memory. It's been 3 years I've had this mouse and I'm really looking forward to the day it breaks and I can use something else. Great video too, just speed past the bit we all want to see.
I dont know what's so bad about the software. Everything I have connected perfectly with the software and all features work fine with the software. Never had issues from the start.

Okay, this app suck but this is how you can assign key. Go to the Macros option>create a new macro and name the key say I want to assign Zoom in>No repeat(in my case) >record the keys (press ctrl +( + )no. key)>stop recording> drag the (Zoom in) command to the mouse button you want to assign. Hope this is helpful.
Don't go so hard on Logitech guys, at least they keep their products top shape, unlike razer

Not only is the g935 not supported by LGS, but G Hub is buggy, and every time my pc is shut off, it no longer detects any sound device. Only fix is to uninstall G Hub. Because of that it is unusable for me, and I cant tweak any settings on my headset because I cant use G Hub and its not supported by the old software...
Settings backup:
Just once during an update, all settings including color profiles was reset to default, so before each update I make a backup for safety.
Or maybe for when you want to format, or just to copy your settings/profiles to another pc...
If you want you can disable automatic updates in Ghub's settings.

I am a bit confused about the Per-Profile/Persistent lock vs the not locked. When I click the lock, I see the macro list change and mouse buttons change for the profile. Is there a dummy's guide on this somewhere?? Also, I dragged a profile from one app, onto another, but not all of the Macros were copied to the new profile. I see the new Profile, but not all the macros are there..
When I download other Music equalizer presets they don't show up in the custom section. where do they go when downloaded?

As a software engineer it pains me to see such a convoluted mess that G-HUB is. Also there is a trend of "bad product design" that I noticed on the more expensive Logitech peripherals. I have a g305 mouse which is perfect/performant/simple design, and a g915 keyboard which is the last keyboard I'll ever buy from Logitech ( useless G keys BADLY placed, invisible keycap symbols if illumination is off during BRIGHT daylight)
Software Engineer here as well. I would NEVER allow a product like GHub have my name on it.
Dear logitech, here are just a few of the issues with your software, when editing settings for my G502:
* The settings wheel at the top right should not be contextual, it should do the same thing every time. It's confusing to press the same button and get completely different results depending on what screen you're on. Clicking on the mouse does different things in onboard memory mode (it opens up the mouse configuration menu) as it does in managed mode (it opens up the profile editor). To access the same menu that you would access in onboard memory mode in managed mode you have to click on the mouse then the wheel in the top right, but you can't click on the wheel in the top right without clicking on the mouse, cause that's a different menu.
* When I close the mouse settings menu, I end up in different places in the app depending on whether "onboard mode" is enabled or disabled. This happens regardless of whether I visited the mouse settings menu from the main menu or not. If I click on something that pops up a menu then close the menu I expect to be in the same place I started from.
* I should be able to edit onboard profiles, just like I could with the old app.
* I should be able to see the settings of onboard profiles, just like I could with the old app.
* I should be able to press a key to assign that key to the button instead of looking through a dropdown.
* Why are profile cycle and onboard profile cycle in two different places (middle of list and bottom of list) and do two different things?
* Commands, Keys, Actions, Macros, and System don't make sense. For instance, why is Copy a "system" and not an "action" or "command" or "macro"? Why is "media play/pause" system and not a key? Wait, why is there also a "ctrl + C" copy "command"? What's the difference between "Copy" and "Ctrl + C"?
* When I have multiple desktop profiles and I edit the lighting settings of one of them, they all change. Update: I found a youtube video that explained what the problem is. The "Lock" button was selected. I would never have figured it out myself, I didn't even notice the lock icon. A chain/link icon would be better suited.
* Sometimes the Sensitivity (DPI) configuration shows the wrong DPI as the current value, when in fact the current DPI is some other value.
* When you click on "Details" on a profile in the profile list, when you exit the details menu the profiles sometimes rearrange themselves, making it very confusing as to which profile is where.
* When you go into a profile's settings and click on the name to rename, when you're done there's a big blue inviting button at the bottom that looks at a glance like a "CONFIRM" button. That's not what the button does, that's "Set as persistent". The "Delete" button also happens to be in the exact same position a "Cancel" button would be. This is very confusing and can easily result in a mistake.
* In the macro edit screen, the "apply" button is where you'd expect it to be. But the button right next to it isn't "Cancel", it's "Reset". This is unfortunate placement.
* When I rename a profile and click X, the changes are confirmed. But when I rename a macro and click X, it prompts me whether to save or discard.
* What's the difference between "DPI shift" and "Go to DPI shift" (rhetorical question)? Go to DPI shift doesn't let me go back. A more useful function is "Toggle DPI shift" where if you click it again it goes back.
* While you're in the macro editor, and you switch to another app to do something (like typing this here bullet point), sometimes the buttons remain held for some reason.
* In the macro editor, if you try to create a macro for CTRL - SHIFT - MMB, it will show ctrl + shift as expected, but the middle mouse button changes the mouse cursor to a scroll icon and the macro does not appear to register the middle mouse. When you middle mouse again, the mouse cursor is normal again and the macro shows "CTRL - SHIFT". But if you click on "Show key down / Key up" you will notice that the macro is actually CTRL down - SHIFT down - MMB down - MMB up - MMB down - MMB up - SHIFT up - CTRL up.
* However, if I try to record just SHIFT - MMB, it will completely fail to recognize the middle mouse button. So I have to create a CTRL-SHIFT-MMB macro and manually delete the CTRL.
* In "would you like to save your changes" I only have yes and no, there's no cancel, so I have to exit the editor and enter it again if I forgot something.
* The list of Keys in "Assignments" is almost, but not quite, alphabetical.
* In the profile list, the mouse scroll is in the opposite direction as what would be intuitive. Scroll down gets you to the first profile and scroll up gets you to the last profile.

what's really annoying is that the G4 - G8 keys can't just be seperate keys, they have to have a macro for you to be able to use them
why scroll up and down are not available for key mapping on the software? makes no sense

Don’t know what people are talking about.. my G403 connects instantly and so does my G512 with minimal issues. (If there is restarting always works)
This program is to powerful, all it needs to do is show me the battery life left in my mouse/headset and custom map some mouse buttons but its like agent smith from the matrix, it has stopped so many programs from working, the only tip you need is uninstall this overly intrusive toxic program
I wish I can describe what I've cone through with G-hub due to the fact that I can't experience 7.1 audio. Even when I listen to Binaural audio it plays through both drivers. But plugging in my $10 cheap earphones, Binaural audio plays flawlessly. It's sad cuz my G933 cost me $200....
in South Africa our Salaries are average $650 p/m. So much for investing on headphones.

Why can't I delete a profile in Ghub. I just want the default, not the buggy Game profiles that won't work in still show RGB light.
This is the buggiest software i have ever had to use I just want to set the lighting and sensitivity on my mouse but i can't because it won't get passed the loading screen!
idk why ppl are saying it's complicated. yes - you need to learn at first, but as I started to dig into G HUB, my G915 became an incredible helper with my work, not only on games. So stop being lazy and start to adapt to new technologies, kids...

I don't get the hate, for me it works fine and have most of my peripherals from Logitech (G Pro keyboard, G Pro X headset and G Pro X superlight mouse. I think the people hating need to invest a bit of time to learn the software, it makes no sense that countless pros are using Logitech products if it's not working🤔

I have a g503 mouse and a brand new g635 headset but because I keep hearing my voice through my headset I had to download this application in order to turn off the sidetone.But guess what. It does not get pass through the loading screen and now I have to keep hearing my voice everytime I want to use my microphone.This is so frustrating!
