Thanks for the video this is perfect. I can't stand GHub (as if anyone loves it) so I prefer to keep it far away as soon as I get my profile setup.
Just bought my G203 and this still works like a charm even though the settings UI have been a bit updated the methods are still the same. thanks my man
if you are having trouble with dpi changing and other similar issues the three steps i used to fix this are: 1. delete all of the dpi options or "dots" if you will except for one, then set that one dot to your DPI 2. disable every game profile like he did in the video. 3. then you turn on onboard memory and close the program out. your dpi will be constant and never change and you will not have to open your ghub app to mess with it everyday like i have been doing for so long lol
Brooooo, thank you so much, i searched hoe to do this everywhere, thank you, i wanted to change the color in pc, and then plug the mouse to the xbox, and it keep the color, thank you
Found your video very useful! I noticed G hub is calling "home" to logitech quite alot with telemetry data about your pc, what DNS svchost.exe has cached etc.. I OPTED out of those within the G hub settings, but it still sends alot of data. And it is digging like mad! This was the last piece i needed in the puzzle. Thanks!
I did just this, although G Hub is on a newer version now, but found my way around, and it worked perfectly. my main issue coming here was although Id set a profile for a certain DPI when playing AOE4, G hub ignored it and set my FPS game DPI speed regardless.... and i didnt want software running that wasnt required, so issue fixed and thanks very much!
thank you for the video, My Company laptop locked downloading G-hub so it such a struggle to change DPI in Gpro superlight, This video is basically the answer.
i was using g903 receiver for my g900 mouse so ghub showed my mouse as inactive and i wasn't able to switch lightning or dpi. I wasn't able to find a solution to this problem for about few months until now. Thank youuu!!!!!!!!!!!!
yo there's this software called "On board Memory Manager" that lets you set different dpi values, change different buttons, and even check your battery percentage. its a pretty good and doesn't run in the background as all it does is change your OBM. This is used for pro players so that they cant cheat or anything while using the g hub software.
Thanks for the kind words, I used to stream on Twitch. These days with work and kid life it’s tough to find time to make these videos. I still help troubleshoot pc problems on twitter under the same name.
Logitech G hub, is probably the worst shit ever made .. I have never seen such a badly poorly optimized software that has so many glitches and they cannot fix it for YEARS !
What is the difference between Logitech Gaming Software, choosing Onboard Memory Option from there VS using the Onboard Memory Manager program? Why the need for the latter when the former has the option for Onboard Memory already? I'm confused.
This was pretty helpful. I hate this new G Hub software. The older Logitech Gaming Software was much easier to use. The G502 X itself is cheaper made. I had the G502 Hero before. The Hero is a better mouse. It's weird how the hardware and software seem to be getting crappier over time instead of better. I'm gonna end up ditching Logitech the way things are going. I don't know what they are thinking with this crap. smh
Thanks for the video. However this there must be something wrong with the latest version of Ghub or my Pro X superlight. I set my dpi to 1600 and I can confirm I have set onboard memory on, when I close Ghub it keeps my dpi setting to 1600, however when I restart my PC without starting up Ghub, everything goes back to default. As soon as I start Ghub, my dpi goes back to 1600, I double checked onboard memory option, it shows "on". Something is very wrong here.
Logitech's UI for G Hub is terrible. I got Roccat's Swarm and Razer's software right away with how to have different settings for different games (some of my games require lower DPI than 1600 to give me the sensitivity I want), but Logitech's G Hub is just terrible. And it lets you use on-board memory, but doesn't tell you how to swap between the profiles you store on it.
Hey man, if I enabled the onboard memory, programmed the buttons and make it the default setting. Then I changed to my company laptop (cannot download GHUB), the programmed setting would still be there ?
I have some issues with the custom lightsync, I did set my custom animations and freestyle, but when I enable the onboard Memory the mouse just turns off the rgb. When I set uo my freestyle to custom and I go to the animations and go back to freestyle, it is on default
@damidomi2616 unfortunately no, you need to have an application that “speaks” to the app you want to apply the specific macro. In this case it would be ghub
Logitech g hub eats 900mb ram and 700mb vram. For me the ram usage doesn't really matter coz i got 16gb ram but i got an rtx 3060 laptop gpu which only has 6gb of vram so i don't want my g hub to eat 700mb of vram from that 6gb vram . This helped me a lot thank you so much.
May I ask if it works with the G Pro X keyboard and the G PRO Wireless headphones? We have heard that, for example, if I have the surround sound function turned on in the headphone settings, these functions only work when Ghub is turned on. And unfortunately the headphones don't have built-in memory, so I'm asking if it works or not.
your dpi while using ghub is 1600 and while using on board memory its 800, i want to find a way to have the same dpi as when i use onboard memory on (ahh i got it now ty)
Nice video; I have the same obsession with keeping my software not running (and even not installed). One issue I ran into though was that the G Pro X Superlight would switch to another DPI after waking up. I don't know yet if disabling gaming profiles has fixed this. Just one question: Why does 1600 DPI provide "the lowest input latency"? EDIT: it still reverts to some other DPI after waking up so this method is cannot be used.
Hi Lasse, Multiple testing done by many channels with input latency has shown 1600-3200 dpi with the lowest input because it is more sensitive in inputs. The main issue is will the game allow you dropping the sens that low. Example on bf2042 I’m on 2. Polling rates are also important to reduce latency. Try refollowing the video again, as it works on my gaming, work and streaming pc. Make sure g-hub reflects on-board. Let me know if it helps
@@Mr_Sentoo Using the on-board memory does work until the mouse is woken up from sleep again. With G Hub running it takes a few seconds for it to change back to the selected DPI but with on-board memory it just stays at a wrong DPI. Nothing I can do. Must be an issue with the mouse or driver or something.
HATE that you can longer edit onboard profiles like with Setpoint 6. They removed the setting.json from the app data local folder now. Any idea where the edited profiles are stored now? Can they now STILL be edited??
I have several different profiles for different games but onboard memory will not activate, I think I need to lose use of an mouse button to be able to switch on mouse profiles?

hi! do u know why profile 1 doesn't work? so when I'm restarting my pc or the mouse was idle for some time the dpi resets but on profile 2 it works.. that means my mouse has a defect?
I'd like to disable G HUB from running at all. All together with its service processes it takes 150MB and for some reason 2% GPU when it's sitting there doing nothing. But IMHO it's the only way I can have my mouse settings is to have it running. If you exit the service it will revert back to default windows mouse seettings. When you’ve followed this tutorial. You can disable it completely through system configuration and disable the file from running in the back without having to uninstall it.
@@Mr_Sentoo Thanks. I fixed it by uninstalling G HUB altogether and installing the "Logitech Gaming Software" (which I see they still maintain). It's only ~40MB resident and using 0 GPU now. Only thing I didn't test was if the "snipper" (downshift DPI) button still works although I rarely use the feature.
