Just beautiful. I loved the moments that you thought something was not quite right, but when you waited it was perfectly fine. It's a great lesson in patience .. and not freaking out. ;)
I found your channel around 3 years ago. Having never painted before, I enjoyed your detail explanation of technique and was able to paint my first painting. Now I can paint on my own all sort of paintings. Thanks for starting my passion
The way you boost our will to try new things in painting and foremost the way you explained the whole process involved in the painting was just amazing 💖 thank you for sharing this wonderful tutorial ❤️❤️❤️
By seeing and hearing you talk about the grid process, I see that I really need to learn about this! I also wanted to let you know that whatever you needed to do in your life, you have followed through! I sincerely send you well wishes! Love this, Jane!
Hi Jane. Happy 2020🌞😘. I am happy to see how much you developed your art last year... I am not been able to follow anymore but I love your work. Congrats!
It's been a while since I've watched you paint, Jane... I really love to watch your process. It's so calming and soothing. I enjoy it so much! ❤️❤️💕❤️❤️
Happy New Year! I an just learning to paint and you help me so much! I enjoy your talent and knowledge! I work in the stressful medical profession. Your paintings, the way you speak during your lessons help me get lost in learning and leave the stress go for a bit. Thank you so much!
Hi Jane, and Happy New Year! I was looking for something to paint to hang on my wall and I definitely will do this one. Thank you so much for your tutorials you have shared with us. Love, hope and peace for the New Year Jane!
Beautiful painting as always Jane. Happy New Year to you 🥂🎉 I have been off the grid, no pun, for 2019 due to very ill health. Hopeful that this might be my first painting for 2020 . Happy painting and love from down under 💖🎨
I hope I don´t come off as creepy, but dang I´ve missed your voice! This was really a wonderful break from my anxiety, watching you paint is working much better than mindfulness or anxiety meds for me, so THANK YOU :) for sharing this beautiful painting, for helping me heal and giving me a much needed break from all the chaos! I really appreciate it, I appreciate YOU ❤️
Thank you so much, friend. I don't think that's creepy at all! I'm so glad I can help you with your anxiety. I know how difficult and challenging it can be to deal with. I appreciate YOU, too
Jane.. I really like your way of doing. Thanks a lot for the live teacher... It would be better if you provide a short explanation how to make the secondary color you are using with usual kit. Few colors I was not able to find out .. thanks...
Hm... That's an interesting question... I would think there'd have to be some yellow oxide in there, maybe some burnt umber and some unbleached. Maybe a tiny hint of ultramarine (white wine always seems to have a slightly greenish cast). Some experimenting would be needed, that's for sure!
Hi Jane. I am so eager to paint "Time To Wine" and I chose a white canvas. I charted out My grid and filled in the whole image before it occurred to Me to paint My canvas black.I know Your not a fan of doing this one on a white canvas but do You have advice for Me on how to do this painting on a white canvas. I look forward to Your advice on what, if anything, I should do differently. Thanks Jane. I have such big plans for "Time To Wine"
Hi Jane, I'm new to your channel. Happy 2020! What are your goals for this year for your art and your channel and content? I was wondering if you do any oil painting too because some of your paintings I would love to try in oils and you are using techniques similar to oils. I really liked your explanation of why you do the background first, because I never really understood why people do it that way or the other way around. Happy painting 😊
Thank you, friend! Happy 2020 to you, too! I have so many goals for the year! I'm doing in-person classes, I want to keep making videos, and I want to paint for myself more and keep growing and learning! You can pretty much be guaranteed I won't be doing any oil painting, though. It's just not something I see myself getting into any time soon, if ever. I've tried it a couple of times, and I just don't work well with all of the rules and restrictions of the medium. Maybe someday, but not this year, lol. Oh, I would like to do a little more watercolor, too! How about you?!
@@PaintingwithJane That's okay, I can still use your tutorials and just plan them out with an oils process, using the same colours and areas of blending etc, because your work is gorgeous. I used to paint a lot in watercolour doing botanical paintings, very detailed, but not for a long time. I hope you enjoy it! My art goals are to learn more in regards to portraiture (by the end of the year I want to have done a good portrait of my daughter!), and landscapes. Also want to do some looser-style painting to break out from my very careful, detailed style. I look forward to seeing more of your paintings and thank you for your reply! PS, great explanation on painting glass😊
is it just me that can't seem to get a ref pic from a nonexistent website?! ... Ms. Jane, if there is another way to get said ref pic, I would love to know, unfortunately I can't afford to pay for patreon membership. sorry.
Hi, Kathy! Once you hit subscribe, there should be a little bell next to the button that says you're subscribed. If you're on an iPhone or an iPad, though, I've heard that doesn't show 🙁

I need that lesson told to me every time I paint.
@@annettelocke345 It's a hard lesson to remember, for sure.

I’m confused with the indent rain color?? Where can I find it??
Hi was wondering what matt medium does - why are you using it where you do.
this is great! What would be a good color to make it White Wine ?
Hm... That's an interesting question... I would think there'd have to be some yellow oxide in there, maybe some burnt umber and some unbleached. Maybe a tiny hint of ultramarine (white wine always seems to have a slightly greenish cast). Some experimenting would be needed, that's for sure!

Beautiful
Thank you so much, Darlene!
Do you use painting medium for all colors?

I finished mine Ms. Jane I am happy with the result. It is not exactly the same as what you did.
Hi can you tell me if there is a way to grid this to a bigger size? I love this painting so much and I want it on a 16x20 if that’s possible.
I’m not a grid painter but I am curious of why you use 1” grid?
It's just the easiest to use. Makes the math easy and makes the shapes more manageable :)
You list Prussian blue but I thought you kept saying Indanthrene Blue. Which did you use?

Were you always using Prussian when you mention Indanthrene? or just the first time?
lol, yes, always Prussian, but I typically use Indanthrene lately, so that's why I kept saying it, lol.
I love this painting. Do you have a copy of the drawing? I will need to take my time with this one!
Thank you, Nancy! You can download the grid/reference in the video description :)

I used to Grid but i Was ashamed to say that i used it . 😳😳 I will try to accept what I do
Oh, why be ashamed of gridding!? It's so helpful. I love it!!
I painted a wine bottle and glass and now realize how absolutely awful it is compared to this.
