The two videos of you I’ve watched today have been mesmerizing and full of fascinating detailed descriptions and demos of techniques that evolve, magically, into these magnificent paintings. I love the way you teach and so glad I found you!
This painting is absolutely gorgeous! Will try this one but am unsure what my tree will look like using a knife. You are the greatest teacher. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you, Anne! You never know until you try :)
You are the absolute best ! Like always , my favourite painter and the most talented teacher !
I too love mist, fog and haze. Lovely painting, enjoyed seeing the process.

This is gorgeous and I can’t wait to try this one. I’ve learned so much from you. I’m addicted to this kind of background with the pop of red. I’ve never used the matte fluid medium before and I love how it changes the background. Thank you for this video and your technique and teaching. 👍🎨❤️

Hello Ms Jane, a newbie artist here. Just wanted to say thank you. You teach very well. Explaining step by step what you're doing and how you're doing it not only makes it seem simple but it becomes simple to learn the techniques.
I'm transitioning/expanding from paint pouring art to landscape/cityscapes. My first cityscape is modeled after your 'Walk in the rain" minus the women in red with red umbrella. It turned out pretty good. I'm going to practice doing human figures first before adding her. It's your teaching and explaining that made it possible. So thank you. I'm ony halfway through this video and I can't wait to try and replicate. 🤗
How exciting!!! You're going to learn and grow so much, and I'm really excited for you!! Thank you, friend

Jane this is so beautiful I want to step into the canvas. it's 80 degrees here and I'm so ready for fall. I've stared working on fall paintings. I have 7 of yours of my list. I'm working on Misty autumn sunrise with the spider web at the moment. can't wait to see what is up for fall and haloween.
My internet did something crazy and I didn't get to say goodbye to you and everyone. Thank you Jane!! It's beautiful ♥️
It was so nice to see you at the live! 💛

Very beautiful as always Jane I might have to give this one a go with spring coming I’m always looking to paint the pink or red cherry, or magnalolia tree or whatever else kind of flowering tree just pops to me
Thank you! Enjoy :D
Très très beau Jane! Vous avez beaucoup de talent! Huguette (Québec) ❤️
Merci beaucoup!
❤️
Hugs for Mr moon, 🌙🌙 from Australia.
Thanks for another great tutorial Jane! It's so frustrating to me that whenever I do a background I am wasting so much paint and watching you it seems so easy!
Are you using just water or some sort of flow improver?
At one point I thought that the paint quality was the issue but when trying with top quality paints, I encountered the same issue.
Could you please advise me what can I do to improve the flow while doing a background?
Thank you ❤️❤️
Jane I love this so much and I know I will be painting it more than once. Can I ask the shades you would use,if you were going to do blue?
Jane, do you prep your canvases first? If not, do you find it's rougher when you put paint on them?
Just started watching ur videos. Youre very talented. Love your style. I mean this in a contstructive way, but scumbling means something entirely different then the technique you use when u say it. It is commonly mistaken to be a "random tumbling" type stroke, but it actually means to wet one side of the brush (usually a flat brush) and lightly drag it across the canvas in one direction to create texture. Monet is known for using this technique a lot. If you look at his water lilys painting youll see what i mean.

Jane does a palette knife work differently on a board than on a stretch canvas??
I love your tutorial and teaching style. Very easy to understand and follow. The music puts me to sleep though...
Really enjoyed watching this develop, will give it a go 👍 Waht are you using as a palette for your paint Jane, is it just a board of some sort?
Can I use cotton cloth for acrylic painting?
Hi Jane! I am adoring that fan brush you use in this tutorial. Will it be offered on your website at some point? I seem to have troubles with natural bristles and I really like the looks of this fan brush. BTW, I absolutely love every single brush of yours that I have. Just waiting to get my hands on your angle brushes when they are all in so I can order them all at the same time, lol!
Thank you, Joanie! Yep, this fan brush is on my website 😊 I'm so glad you love the brushes! 💛
How do you get so much coverage when you paint? I’m constantly going back for more paint! Is there a brush that holds more?
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤗🤗
👏👍😊
Could I use mixing white or zinc white for the misting effect????
Hi Susan, they are the same
🌼🍃🤗👍
@Painting with Jane
Thanks for the tutorial and simple instructions. I am doing it as well in my painting and you have given me much easier approach to the palette knife and highlights. Thank you. I now follow u. The painting is breathtaking. Keep painting everyone... #rochellerosenberg
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! 💛
Inspiration PLUS here Jane. I can't wait to give this a try. I appreciate your talent Jane. Hi from Ontario! I have to also add the tree trunks with the added white is an eye-catcher.
Aaaw, thank you so much, Carol! I'm so glad you like it!!
I can't wait to give this a try! I finally bought myself the fredrix canvas pad.
I have a question - do you sand or prep your canvas sheet before painting on it? Also, do you leave it in the "book" while painting on it or tear it out?
I hope you love them! I don't do anything to them, and I paint right in the book!
Loved this tutorial!!!! I painted this with a purple tree and added a path, I posted on your Facebook page, hope you see it!
This is beautiful! What could I use in place of matte medium? I do not have that.
AMBER.N S I was wondering the same thing!
Like I said in the video, you can use gloss medium or glazing medium. Any of the 3 will work. You don't want to just use water, though, because your paint will be underbound and will easily smear/come off/mix with other layers later :(
Painting with Jane I’m sorry. I’m bad about asking questions as I watch instead of waiting until the end of the video.
@@melaniegee Lol! No problem! I understand! 💛
😃👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼
What is Matt medium? I have no idea haha
👏👏👏
Can you traduction the tutorial the spanish, please?
Hello,
I am a lifelong student of Art.
I have been very depressed and have no drive for painting, drawings, or just about anything.
Do you give retreats of any kind?
Thank you,
I live in California,
Thank you 🙏🏼
Veronica Hurd I’m so sorry you’re going through this right now,I too suffer from depression and love to paint and draw....however like you,I go through times of not having any drive to paint etc. What I do though,is listen to natural sounds on UA-cam bird song, water, etc. Then I’ll watch a video on painting..and gradually over days/ weeks I start to feel like I can start something.. I’m on medication which helps a lot too..keep inspiring yourself by looking at art videos,it will get better 🤗
Oh, friend, I'm so sorry you're feeling that way. I'm no stranger to it myself. Do try to set aside a little bit of time for yourself whenever you can. Schedule it so you can make sure it fits into your day or week. Just take that time and do something for no reason other than it makes you happy. It really will go a long way towards making you feel a little better. I don't have any events planned right now. I'm hoping to be able to do live things where I travel sometime, but it may not be for a year or so. Please take the time for YOU. Drive or no drive, once you start, you'll be so glad you did. I'll be thinking about you, friend
@@PaintingwithJane Thank you so much, veronica
Jane, can you say again what your pallet is, please?
It's just glass :) There's a video on Facebook and Instagram about it.
Love the tutorial as always. However, the music was a worry today Jane

To me the extra closer trees were not necessary, took away from the main focus. The painting is gorgeous.
terraria and minecraft players: hey ive seen this!
I understand that you need black, but I feel it is too much, too much not for this painting but for my paintings. I do not like black, anything but black.
