For stuff that is so rhythmically complex, they play so deliberately. No light touches - just hammering forward. People that have seen them live say it's exactly the same live.

On the album Zero they had a track named Hyōriittai which was based around piano:

Thanks for reacting to this wonderful song and for your support of Sokoninaru! I had some difficulty warming up to them but now find my self listening to them everyday. They have managed to combine beautiful vocals, complex song writing and fantastic musicianship in a way that creates a sound experience that is unique to them and highly addictive. Saw them in Japan last year and it was jaw dropping!

Juko writes all of the music on his own and makes a demo for the others to learn their parts (probably on a computer, like noko does).
I think the trick to their music is how brilliant an arranger he is and can take some songs that are basically JRock songs and arrange them in a really crazy way that makes them interesting.
They also do covers and Juko does his own arrangement for them. Here is their version of Atarashi Gakko's Otona Blue (they even dressed the part... Misaki borrowed a dress from her mom): ua-cam.com/video/qbTuuN9W7Fo/v-deo.html
