Hey great video man!
Wait I know this guy from somewhere
cant tell if this is the imposter that keeps commenting or the real JC !
Easy way to tell to click on the name, imposter will not have any videos posted. Another way to tell is if there’s a checkmark or some type of verification symbol next to the name.
@@JosephCarlsonAfterHours I don't see a check mark on yours. Hmmm
i mean its very obvious based on the comment if its you or not
After studying the trajectory of great assets like real estate, dividend paying stocks of blue chip companies, gold, etc ,my conclusion is that most great assets never come down to the price that you want them to so you can buy. just buy the ones you can afford today.
For awhile now I have been putting a certain amount aside for investment and I intend to put my money to good use, I stumbled upon an investor who mentioned making a good amount last month from dividend and I'd really love to how I could make such heavy profits.
@@Jme--- I'd advise you get some kind advise or assistance from a financial consultant or Investment coach if you are not quite familiar with the happenings of the market. That’s the most ideal way to jump into the market these days.
@@Mcdd7-_- Investment coaching sounds like a great idea, thought about it before but my concern is getting who knows what he or she is doing. Have you used a coach? what is the experience like?
@@Jme--- yes I am being coached by Freda Lynn Johnson and the reason is because I have made a lot of rookie mistakes, I decided to seek guidance while I improve my trading skills and investment strategies by watching videos and reading. the experience has been a smooth ride and i am going slow for now but getting at least $2500 in monthly profit which is not bad if you ask me but some other persons might think otherwise.
@@Mcdd7-_- This is splendid! been trying grow my portfolio for sometime now, the major challenge I have is not knowing when to sell. How could someone go about getting finance intelligence from a coach like that. Would you mind sharing your coach's Info?
I'll tell you why I'm not buying Salesforce.
I have no money to buy Salesforce. 🤣
Always watch your videos 100% through! Incredible content Joseph 🤙
i work in financial compliance/wealth operations for a large insurer and our client due diligence process is largely based in salesforce financial services cloud. over the past year+ we have been able to customize the system to meet the products we offer, down to the individual client level. pretty remarkable.
I added CRM to my M1 over the weekend.. then I see you make a video and makes me feel good that I picked a great company!!
We use salesforce at the law firm I work in. It’s the largest personal injury law firm in CA. It spent millions on a customized server. The advertising company I work before the law firm also used sales force. This is a business AI company. I’m highly considering buying shares as well.
Hi Lydia !!! I also invest in salesforce !!! It is indeed a great company !!!
Great editorial Joseph.
Agree. Salesforce everywhere.. Thx
Good work !
thanks for the video.
Concerning if CRM is a good value, I think it's a good idea if you dove a little bit more in the metrics such as growth, PE, PS, margins and compared it to the sector.
It's easier to buy, and hold if an investor knew if the price he paid is a good deal.
I wouldn't say Slack is the Teams for SalesForce. Teams has video conferencing as well and slightly better integration with Office products
I love that your recording area is also in your gym
That's not nearly a long enough time period to evaluate your portfolio. I'd say anything less than 2 years is pretty meaningless and you really need 3 years + to give a good idea - your chart only shows about 7 months.
This is particularly true with high-growth stocks, which these are.
High growth stocks are generally more volatile. Even the best of them may often underperform the index they're part of on short timescales as sentiment shifts but, if their growth trajectory continues, they will singificantly outperform over a period of years, supported by their underlying fundamentals.
I point this out because it's possible some novice investors could lose faith and sell great stocks just because their price didn't perform well over the past 6-12 months. This is never a good reason to sell. A good reason to sell an investment is when the story has changed, not the price.
Btw... good little portfolio there! I hold a few of those, including CRM, but even the ones I don't are strong growth companies.
Nice vid thanks
Great Job !
You need to be a guest on millennial money, and/or, be a guest interview on meetkevin.
YESSSSSS. Especially debate Andrei Jihk because he recently quit dividend investing claiming it isnt as useful after you start making big bucks 💰
@@robertc6293 cause of taxes
@@DS-ls2jm Yes I got why Andrei did that, because he is making bank now. But Joseph isnt exactly making a $100k middle class salary either. He is making great money from his channels and discords.
So id like his perspective of dividends once you reach a high salary level.
@@robertc6293 I think Joseph still has his programming job too. I would love to see him talk/collab with them though.
Joe using that "Edge" to educate us on Salesforce.
So many companies I wish I could invest in!!
I picked up some shares of CRM right when the price dropped after Slack aquisition announcement and more in March.
My uncle was the Vice-Chairman at Salesforce. He worked there for almost 15 years I think. It is a very healthy and good company. He was there from the very beginning. Together with Slack it could become a competitor for Mircosoft.
Competitor for Microsoft? Nice joke. John Q public has no idea what salesforce is. Everyone knows what Microsoft is.
Great content on a great stock. Only 4 stories left to tell for SE, PYPL, TDOC and SHOP before you need to find new content :-)
Just bought more myself 💪🏾 this is an affirmation!
Love your transparency and it inspires me to be open with my investing journey as well, another great analysis!
Edward Norton after hours
i did chuckle when you described your 8 year career, numerous jobs and wealth of experience, classic tech bro :P
Do you have any price target for CRM? The stock has not moved much since Sep last year.
The best way to show if you under or outperfom is a public account in a site like tip ranks
Good video
Just one comment, from the cover picture I thought it was about ticker NOW "ServiceNow".
Hi Joseph, I like the approach you use to make your point and the humble way you bring the whole picture about a business, market or sector before make your central point... I am from Brazil, and since became US permanent resident, I've been learning about how business are made here... And I've been investing here for 3 months, thinking on the long run... The market here is totally different from Brazil especially for being and emergent country and have a political scenario that is very unstable or it's being in the past 10 years. If one day would possible, I would like to hear a take from you on Tencent (TME)... As you always give points on Spotify... Apologies on my limited English! Thank you for share your channel publicly!
Does somebody know what the net retention rate and customer retention rate is from salesforce? I can't find it anywhere.
You should also show whether you can beat the NASDAQ, given how tech heavy youre invested :) Not that could do it during the last 6 years.
Hey,. I've been trying to find a way to track my portfolio like you do with graphs. Are you using specific software/platform or do track yourself. I'm from Canada , so not sure if you know of options for us. But it's hard to track portfolio without a platform. Yahoo finance tracks but doesn't graph out performamce. Thanks for your help.
Hey Joseph how do you feel about coinbase ipo? Do you think it will boom?
Been waiting for this one 🔥
Could you make a video on your thoughts on the Coinbase stock "COIN". It's going public tomorrow
its a BEAST ..same here i have been long CRM.. . trading at lowest PE in years... mid growth for the next 3 years18-21% ... forward P/S of 8... very cheap compare to its peer... every acquisition has been on point imo... cross-sell ..
PS. correction.. the spike that happend was due to accouncement of CRM joining S&P, not great earning.
If lowest P/E is 120, then you have a problem.
Is one of the top stock pick of many funds. Salesforce is a beast. Good one. Just curious man, how you created the graph of benchmarking portfolio with S&P ? Thanks ✌️🔥
Shares liquidation is so high , what do you think about that?
Solid software with deep implementation, I like it. But what are your thoughts on them using the stock market as their piggy bank and also having an unstable and generally terrible ROE?
What's your opinion on healthcare stock like johnson & johnson?
From a value perspective: if you run a discounted cashflow on Salesforce the stock actually turns out to be either at fair value or slightly undervalued. This says a LOT about how strong Salesforce's fundamentals are as many growth stocks don't even come close to their current stock price being fair value. Great video.
Will you keep buying if you run out of money to buy with?
Hey Joseph, I know your stance on cryptocurrency but have you looked into staking at all? You could get about 6% yield on USD backed stable coins maybe a good hedge in place of bonds?
I would still love a video with your take on paypal in the future if you don't have some other content planned. Thanks!
The question is: Does SalesForce use SalesForce?
I hate having to use salesforce and its clunky slow cloud interface. It promotes manipulation by staff in a company where results are reported within salesforce. People stealing opportunities from each other, "winning" dubious deals that will generate no meaningful revenue etc
Loving the total returns videos and dividend videos.
Joseph, couple things. First I like the video. I opened a small position today based on the video and some other dd I did. But "the analysts say it's undervalued" part is BS analysts are full of you know what. Look how many were wrong hugely on Tesla.
Second thing, I haven't noticed in this portfolio or your main one, many Chinese or foreign companies. What are your thoughts on TSM, Netease, BABA and some other others. Namely dividend payers, not so much the babas.
Hi Joseph, I really appreciate your videos and sharing your investment approach. I think it is helping lot of people to invest wisely. As you mentioned in this video, you do a great job explaining how your portfolio performs against the main benchmark which is the SP500. I really appreciate how you're willing to share this information even if you're under performing the benchmark. Since I know your channel through the main channel, I was wondering if you could also make the same comparison. Compare your $200K portfolio with SP 500. I was and still am mainly a tech driven or growth focused investor but your main channel has opened my view in dividend or value investing. I was skeptical at first but I see that you could outperform the SP500 with all the dividend being reinvested with a minimal downside risk.
thumbs up for transparency!
EDIT: After watching the whole video i cant help but feel like this was a sales pitch to buy stock in CRM... Yes, estimates say it's under valued and I'll check it out, but I felt like the video was a little too sales pitchy.
Even the title was salespitchy
Thoughts on BABA and Charlie Munger taking a stake?
Great video I’m adding baba it’s a better deal right now.
How about jd?
After listening to you, I feel like I will invest too.
Salesforce remind me of GE. They become bigger and bigger by acquisition. Salesforce don't have the cash flow to make their big acquisition so they issue share like Powell print money.
Disagree
@@cchrisUA-cam Well you can disagree with me but you can't disagree with facts. They issue 230 millions shares just in the last 4 years. How can you make a 27B (Slack), 15,7B (Tableau), 6,5B (Mulesoft) acquisition with only 4,8B net cash provided by operating activities?
Allrightdy!
If interest rates rise then growth stocks will more than likely do poorly. I believe there is a combination of growth and value investing that can pair that issue. Salesforce is probably not one of those picks for me.
Great work as always. Fine with benchmarking this portfolio against the s&p as a base scenario. But a bit click bait... you don’t compare apples to apples. Add in the NASDAQ chart as well. Once you beat this one you will have my full respect.
People will never be happy with what I compare my portfolio to. At first it’s “beating the market”. Now it’s “beating the qqq”. If I beat the qqq it would be “you need to compare against a technology ETF” or “you need to compare against ark invest”.
I’m not going to constantly shift the benchmark around to compare whatever is performing best at any given moment against my portfolio. My goal is to beat the market I’m comparing my portfolio transparently against that benchmark, that’s a lot more than most content creators will do.
@@JosephCarlsonAfterHours You call it growth portfolio not market portfolio. Every ETF gets benchmarked to the closest related index as an industry standard. Thats my only point.
Hey Joseph! What do you think of Alibaba? It's a growth company and I feel like it's trading at a huge discount . Keep the good work! Thank you
Somehow I'm doubtful about any company claiming to have good customer service.
P/e and forward p/e a little high tho.
Hi Joseph, Mcdonalds may also be a good stock idea with the recent real estate growth and digital transformation the company is taking on
Overvalued
I just bought 10 shares for 214 bucks a pop. I'm glad that I have a great entry but I feel sorry for having to suffer losses for so long and have money held up that could be making money it always burns.
Salesforce makes up 8,77% of my entire portfolio. Very bullish on them. I'm from germany by the way and i'm having to deal with SAP (which is sort of a competitor to salesforce) on my workplace. It's absolute crap.
I have looked at SAP as well. It seems like a legacy company trying to make the transition in order to compete with salesforce. I don’t see many newer tech companies around me using SAP. Most are using salesforce and Microsoft. I like the fact that unlike SAP or Oracle, salesforce was a pure play cloud CRM from the beginning.
Teladoc?
I hate watching commercials of any kind...had to skip over all of it.
Hola saludos
Mark Cuban recently said that he buys companies based on how good they are at AI. I think that’s a good approach to investing in a coming disruptive future.
Why does mark own a basketball team then?
The value also dropped after they acquired slack which is another reason for being undervalued
I was asleep at the wheel when CRM was at 211. Argh.
Hey Joseph, have u looked into Datadog ( DDOG ) or Cloudflare ( NET) ?
DDOG is a great play right now, solid company that is a bit down in the tech sell off that you could get for about $40 off a share.. TECH/SaaS, EV and Housing are all great sectors for 2021.
Datadog's market size is too smaller, and it is too expensive. It is not a cloud monitoring company.
If you really understand tech company, CRM is worst you can chooose..
Your video was great. Theirs had bad acting and beat around the bush. Makes me question them more.
Tech is just so expensive. Likely will go up but already too expensive for me today. As value first investor who doesn't have loads of cash, tech is like king's feast I can't partake in
What %"
Customers have more options than Salesforce, cheaper options
Seeing this after an year 😂😂
First comment again !!!
Since this video, Salesforce is down 4%. Impressive.
You’ll see some story time next week when the market tanks an additional 25%
That sales force videos looks like it’s straight out of black mirror! Seems like sales force does what FB gets much of it’s criticism for. Although bc of all this makes it good long position.
Everything makes sense until the market does THIS
Thoughts on C3 ai?
Wasteland until Treasury under control or qrt earning post beat -0.10. feel free to speculate
I like it at $50 flat
First one here
C3.AI vs Salesforce. who win?
Looking at the earning of C3.AI, it is tiny.
Joe, you still aren't squatting. Please get that atg habit started. As it stands, I'm forced to take a short position on your bone density.
💯
Too bad it doesn’t pay a dividend. :-(
you going to buy $baba?
I bought some and they went down a bit. It got just fined, so I wonder if it would go down next week. I bought it coz I thought it was under valued, but it does have regulatory risk.
@@wowsean $baba seems really undervalued to me.... I've been buying regularly over the past month.
Who is here after the fail`?
tikes
I liked the video, but still not convinced to buy it tho
Good Video, I'll pass, and rather stay with PLTR🤙and Microsoft
MSFT is better for sure, PLTR is nothing comparing with CRM.
would be nice if you included the ticker in the intro.
Watching the Salesforce ad, EU be like: No.
Bc u db?
I realy do not like the slack buy, they are competing with microsoft teams and zoom and 30 billion dollars for a webcam software is just way too much
Slack has a great potential. Look at their last learning. 88% yearly growth and 1B revenue yearly. When people start to use Slack, it is almost impossible to leave the platform.
Is youtube now your full-time job?
Yes - I quit my job a few months ago to focus on UA-cam full time.
@@JosephCarlsonAfterHours Congrats man! I'm sure it means more time for what matters to you
Salesforce is a loser stock.
It's market cap is 214 billion. Ridiculously high. It's P/E ratio is 120. I can easily see this stock sliding back down to the 150 range in the next 12 months. Would not surprise me if in January in 2023 it is down 50% from it's current point right now.
Also pays no dividend. Further proof it's a loser stock.
You don’t understand P/E
@@mamba101 P/E of Salesforce as of today is 115. Salesforce will not be around 115 years from now.
@@jonathansykes4986 PE is high because they invest everything into growth.
Why are you basing the company valuation on revenue? Don't you see that their profit margin is about 2%? which makes the current market cap 90% overvalued.
The way it sound to me was that they can only focus on customers with huge number of followers. Who cares about plebs :-D
Pltr will still beat this lmao
Thought the same a few minutes ago......long PLTR 🤑🤑🚀🚀🤟🤟
It's the opposite. Palantir has no moat, and $CRM does their job better than them.
There is a zero chance PLTR can beat CRM. Do not trust any UA-camr says that or says that PLTR will be 1T company.
