    This will be great for our group. We make 14x14 nicu blankets and like to change up stitches now and then so we don’t get bored with the same ones. Thank you!!!!

    Love this stitch. Being new to crocheting, I have been trying all the different patterns . I am making 11" squares of each stitch, 7 different coordinated colors, repeating the pattern in multiple colors. When done, I'll have a sampler and acquired a new skill. TY for all the clear, concise lessons. I'm hooked. 😊

    The video I watched, had me end row 1 like you did, but when I turned the work, it had me do the 3 sts in the very first st, then skip 2 which had me make the sts in the single crochet from previous row. My scarf looks nice, but I wonder if it would have looked better doing it your way. Well.. too late now. Next project. Thank you, Tiffany!!

    Thank you for sharing this lovely Sedge stitch with us. It is quite a pretty design. I am very excited to create a baby blanket for my daughter using this stitch. I think she will love the texture. Thank you and God bless you. ❤️ May I ask how much yarn do you suggest for a good sized baby blanket?

      @CrochetWithTiffany  5 місяців тому

      I too think the Sedge Stitch would make a beautiful baby blanket! Great thinking. Oh gosh, it is really hard to say how much yarn you will need to make a baby blanket BUT I do have videos on my channel that can help you out with this. How Much Yarn Will I Need and my Swatch Series. I hope this helps! Have Fun! 🤗🧶❤️

    Love watching your videos you explain everything so that I understand what you’re doing. I do have a question, how do you end the blanket? What stitch do you do?

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  Рік тому +1

      Awe! Thank you so much Erin! Glad my videos are helpful. Honestly the sedge stitch does not have a special last row to end the project. But it looks pretty. I used this stitch to make the bottom of my Pet Bed. When adding a border around it I was able to just make one single a crochet stitch in each stitch space. Maybe this will help you if you would like to make a border around your blanket. 😊❤️🧶

    I have just finished crocheting the main part of a double blanket after watching your tutorial on the sedge stitch last month. Do I just launch straight into a border, or do I need to do anything else after finishing the last wrong side row of sedge stitch?

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  Рік тому

      Great question! If your next row will be on the right side of the work I would go straight into the border. If our next row will be on the wrong side your work I might do one more row first and then dive into the border. 😊❤️🧶

    • @sarahm3554
      @sarahm3554 Рік тому

      Thank you. I've now worked sc along the top edge and 3sc in the first corner but I'm abit puzzled by working down the sides. Normally with starting and finishing the row with an sc, I would just do a ac down the side when picking up for the border but does the same rule of thumb still apply when the row has got different height stitches in it?

    That’s not the same way that I’ve used for sedge stitch. The stitch is put into the single crochet from row before… not the double crochet. Guess there’s more than one way to do it

      Hi Gloria, I had to close my Private Facebook group because I had zero time to dedicate to it and people were starting to wonder if the group was even active. I’ve chosen to dedicate most of my time to other locations. I do have a public Facebook page you can go to called Crochet With Tiffany. You should be able to post there or at least tag me in a post you make. I also have a membership program opening next week where people can openly share pics with me and each other. I think you will love it!!! Please watch out for that! 😊❤️🧶

    Wouldn't it be easier to just say it's a multiple of 3? The Multiple of 3, plus 1, plus 2 is even more confusing than just calling it a multiple of 3!

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  10 місяців тому +1

      Totally get what you’re saying. I almost did but then I wanted to be very clear which stitches were actual foundation row stitches and which where just turning chains, especially for all the people now working foundationless stitches. 😊
