Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on UA-cam yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthevideo.com/ and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyrobin.com The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website
How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's? Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.
Can you remake this video so it is slower? If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! 😀 See this video on exactly how: • How to Adjust the Spee...
Why do you use American stitch terminology? I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! www.hookedbyrobin.com/crochet...

Dear Robin
I am not sure you are knowing how great teacher you are . Many people crochet but mostly of them can't explain how to do the stitches . You are doing amazing no a lot of speaking no music, just exactly and clearly what stitch pattern need. I think not only me but everyone who is watching your videos is happy.
With pleasure I will go back and watch all videos you have been posted
Thank you
Thank you
Thank you🌹
Thank you so much 😊
I too like to go back and watch the videos even stitches I know, its nice to play it while I'm making something with that stitch. It's like having a crochet buddy, lol. Noone else in my area that I know crochets, even those that do have me make things for them because they dont have time to sit and crochet. And those that know usually also tip me besides paying for the item because they have said they know what really goes into my pieces. I do alot of theme items as we have balloon fiesta here in albuquerque and things for hiking like water bottle carriers and utility pouches. Also Aztec mosaics and such. Jewelry and belts that hold rocks for rockhounding.
This basketweave stitch is so pretty. I'm a little past beginner, but with the way you show us how to crochet these various stitches I feel like an advanced crocheter. You are so easy to understand. Keep those videos coming. Thank you Robin
That’s so nice to read, thank you!😃🤗
As a 40+ year crocheter, first time this afghan has made sense. Thank you!
You’re so welcome!🥰🤗
You make everything seem “incredibly easy!” Thank you for all your help.
You’re so welcome!😃🧶
Thanks- I have struggled with this stitch so many times ! Now at last it becomes clear - I am so happy! Well done Robin
!
Thank you so much for the support Hazel!🥰🧶
And as always a brilliant stitch and as always so well explained. I just got home with 10 skeins of yarn because I want to make a blanket, and this stitch is going to be it. So I'm going to make a cup of tea, and grab my crochet hook 4mm, sit myself down and in 3...2...1...I started with the Basketweave stitch😃 Thank you so much, Robin🤗🙏 and I hope you will have a fine day....greets from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
Thank you so much Marin and that sounds like the perfect type of afternoon! 😃🥰
I am a beginner and have just finished a lap blanket with this tutorial. It's absolutely stunning! I made the lap blanket for my daughter's birthday. Yesterday I started a blanket for myself because I love it so much! Thanks for an amazing video to start my crochet journey with a beautiful beginning.
You're so welcome and that sounds fantastic!😀🧶

I have literally just start crocheting like a month ago, and I came across your videos on Facebook which made me look up your UA-cam. I LOVE your videos. They are so easy to follow. I just finished my first big project (a simple scarf using a double crochet). My next project is going to be a baby blanket for my daughter using the moss stitch(my due date is around April 29). My next big project is going to be a another blanket using this stitch and I am so excited.
Amazing!😃 Thank you so much, I’m glad you’re enjoying my videos and sounds like you’re doing so well with crochet.Enjoy making your blanket.🥰
Congratulations! Be sure to choose stitches that her little fingers don't get caught in! Just a helpful hint.
@@1Bonnie777 thank you! And don't worry. I used Bernat Baby Blanket yarn, which looks great with the moss stitch. But also since the stitch is so dense, no holes!
Once again, Robin to the rescue! I just bought a beautiful yarn to make a bed runner and this is the perfect stitch. Yay! Thank you. 😊
I’m so pleased my video helped Fiona, phew! 😃🤗
Robin, you're right! This is a beautiful pattern it especially showcases the different yarn colors!!🤗😍
It does Liz!😍😃
I love this stitch! Switching colors every three rows would definitely help me remember when I need to switch between front and back posts. And it’s a beautiful effect!
🥰🧶
I thought exactly the same 😃-I could see myself goofing unless I have the color change to help "tell me":what to do 😊
Yes yes yes I was waiting patiently for you pop up a basket weave stitch pattern. I have just completed my first ever log cabin blanket from your pattern, finally after crocheting for over 30 years. In 1976 my grandmother made a red, white and blue basket weave afghan to celebrate the bicentennial in USA. She showed me how to do this pattern, but even with my sample, I haven't been able to remember how to do it.
With your well explained video, I'll finally be able to do this. Thank you Robin.
You’re welcome Sharon, I’m glad it has helped. It is such a lovely stitch, enjoy your crochet.😃🧶

Hello Robin! Thank you for your videos! I've been using them to try new and different stitches when teaching myself to crochet 🧶 🪡. I started to learn because I wanted to make afghans. I recently learned that afghans are a style of blanket not the size - didn't know that, now I do.
I decided to use your video, this video, to make my first blanket. Wish me luck 🤞😬😁. Thanks.
You are such a fantastic teacher. Thanks for sharing your talent. ❤

Robin I stumbled on your page and am so happy I have. Your stitches are so easy to follow. You take the time explaining and show us as you go instead of rushing through like some others I’ve tried to follow. Now Im hoping that I can find you doing a C2C which confuses me to pieces.
Hi Karen, thank you - it is lovely to have you here.😃 Did you manage to find the C2C? Apologies for the delayed reply - I am still in house sorting and unpacking mode.x

So good to see content again, Robin! I hope you're doing well ♥ I've always loved basketweave, it's so mooshy and fabulously textured! I've tried to sort out a way to create a triangular shawl in the stitch, for several years, but I'm woefully limited in my creation abilities so blankets and scarves it's been lol
