with all due respect no, Activision is the sole responsible for the current situation for a very simple reason, transparency and communication, if they invested in keeping the fanbase informed of what going on with the game, issuing statements when they are needed clarifying things and engaging with the community we wouldn't be here.
sbmm/ebmm, skill based hit detection/player health/hit box/hurt box ... aside, they don't even bother with the trivial of matters like informing their players about simple unlockables or rewards that they added to their own game as any publisher/gaming studio should.
this is on a level unheard of of arrogance, contempt almost dare I say megalomaniacal against the very people that made them what they are today
so no they are the ones making things worse for themselves not the fanbase.
You brought up one of the most relatable points for influencers. A good number of them gain popularity and their mindset doesn't mature in terms of responsibility. All these types care for is riding a storm of drama and making views off it. Eventually backlash then stagnation can catch up with these people who make up rumors with zero qualified evidence.
okay but here’s the thing: most major points these streamers make are objective facts. You can’t see the tidal wave of bandwagon hatred for a company and decide that it’s their fault. It’s the companies for implementing such outrageous measures into their game for their own gain. hit detection/sbmm/ebmm have all been proven by the community. I understand to be non-bias but this whole video attempts to hijack the communitys ability to control their objective viewpoints on activision BS.
This video pretty much sums up why I hate influencers lol
them killing xlabs kinda just killed all of my enthusiasm for this series. incredibly depressing
The very end of your video kinda describes Blame Truth and Neroscinema to an extent, and I couldn't agree more
Shots fired at Blame truth 💀
Nah. I say let people talk about their theories and rumors. There's a patent for a reason. It makes a lot of sense after purchasing a bundle that skill based matchmaking will allow you to enter an easier lobby. And if it's not true, let the devs confirm. But to do that, they'd have to be transparent.
This is what I’ve been saying. Every year these “fans” call it the worst COD yet but they play the crap out of it for views. I admit there are problems but sometimes I think COD isn’t toxic it’s the fans that are toxic.
Then people are like "if you hate the game so much, play something else?". Then the whole "well I'm still passionate for the franchise" comes up. Endless, vicious cycle of CoD abuse.
It’s ok for the community to have expectations. Instead of a successor to MW2 all fans got was a battle pass and bundle simulator
just stop buying the next game so they will finally listen
With great power comes great responsibility
Regardless of who you are, Activision don't listen to a single word anyone says, whether you are nice or aggressive about it, we get the same result, fucking nothing.. They could have all the top YTers, pro players and streamers in a room and if 99% of them give negative feedback and suggest changes, they will only listen to the 1% that say nothing, it's pathetic. Think of the mini map, we have asked for the past like 3 or 4 years to just make it normal with red dots like it always had been and literally nothing wrong with it, yet they can't even do that and that has been in the top 3 complaints by the vast majority of the community. Again with MWII perks, remember the Cod NEXT event last year and how they marketed MWII to be a game driven by "community feedback" yeah that was lies. We try and be nice, sure we get a tad aggressive sometimes but it's frustrating when everything we say, do or want gets thrown in 1 ear and out the other, it's like talking to a brick wall with these fucking devs. Wtf are we meant to do?
Your right, Simply patenting something does NOT mean it's being used. However and stay with me. THIS IS FUCKING ACTIVISION! They WILL want a return on that investment and since patents are NOT free, THERE IS NO WAY THEY ARE NOT MILKING IT FOR EVERY PENNY IT COST THEM X 1000!
InfinityWard during MW 2019 LITERALLY TOLD US (this is NOT exaggerated, though not a direct quote, but is EXACTLY as intended by Devs) "our algorithm monitors matches and tracks players in real time. when a High skill player is engaging a low skill player we may disable just a few bullets of the high skill player to help level the playing field between various skill levels within a match, as the High skill player can afford to miss a few shots and still has a good chance of winning" THIS CAME DIRECTLY FROM THE DEVS MOUTHS IN A UA-cam VIDEO, It blew up and was only up for around 3 hours before Activision pulled it AND WIPED EVERY TRACE FROM THE INTERNET! I saw this video, my friends all saw this video, IT HAPPENED so anyone trying to pretend it didn't happen KNOWS their full of shit.
So If they have admitted to intentionally disabling peoples bullets if they are the better player in a fight (THE DEFINITION OF SKILL BASED HIT DETECTION) Then believing in skill based damage, skill based audio, ect is not only NOT a stretch from the first admission alone, BUT FUCKING LOGICAL. If Activision/ Devs want to debunk this, then PROOVE IT doesn't exist. But THOUSANDS of people's first hand experience including my own (some even with BLATENT video proof) says IT DOES. 1 or 2 times is anecdotal, SURE with as many players as CoD has 10,000 a day can be anecdotal. But this happens to thousands of people a day EVERY MATCH!!! (again if someone is a bot, which is the exact type of player this system is designed to protect, then you won't be on the receiving end very often if at all, and low skill players being casual aren't likely to be able to perceive any match manipulation on this small and precise a scale.
I don't want CoD to die, but unless this bullshit is dealt with I'd rather risk killing it myself with the HOPE of improvement due to criticism than continue to see my favourite FPS drive itself further into the ground. If we can stop this game growing while it is rigged/ scummy then GOOD! Hurting their pockets is the ONLY way for us to FORCE Activision to listen to us, so lets burn their wallet to the ground!
*Edit - Fixed Typos*
I understand the skepticism over the Patents. But they are infact public knowledge.
Whether or not they are active is a moot point. The fact that they invested money into what the Patents cover is what concerns me.
Saying they are in fact using them is damaging, however calling them a flat out lie is equally damaging.
Activision/Blizzard's track record with Honesty and Transparency has not been good. Their Buisness practices have been increasingly more greedy.
To think that they wouldn't use Patents they have, if they've invested into making them work, is just naive in our current Capitol system.
Also, if this was completely untrue I would think Activision would already have sued for Defamation.
Although maybe they can't because they've already tarnished their reputation bad enough? 🤔 who knows?
Just a Grey Bush's opinion on this whole "Patents" topic.
Battlefield 1 did have skill based damage and it was pretty obvious, nowadays it doesn't I think
Funny how people who probably can't even spell science do "experiments" and are instantly agreeing that damage based matchmaking exists and somehow perfectly works without shit breaking. Yet the devs update some random thing and something entirely unrelated completely breaks. The netcode is just extremely fucking bad and most likely made worse by the fact that you get opponents with bad ping (which people assume is due to matchmaking being so strict and lobbies always disband).
After hearing him out I get it, the core community has been on a negative downslope for a while due to influencers making negative videos on the game. However most influencers wouldn't be making those videos if Activision was treating their community properly, or at the very least communicating with us. There is an expectation nowadays when it comes to AAA live service games and they have managed to fail in almost every single way.
This. The community makes these videos expecting change and communication.
I don't think 'influencers' making positive videos instead of negative ones would change much. The franchise is the problem, not what YT channels are saying. At least IMO.
It's very hard to find a mild tone between someone like LegoUnlocked who's a complete sellout and Blame Truth who hates the game yet continues to play it every video. Even XclusiveAce and Driftor who mainly focus on the stats are somewhat vocal about their opinions of the CoD "community's state.
@@dillonc7955 in BlameTruth's defense he doesn't play the game often when he doesn't like it, he usually gets his gameplays from viewers who submit them.
Moving on to new games like street fighter 6.
The whole skill based hitreg/damage discourse is annoying as hell because it comes out every 3-4 months and several big content creators act like it's a new discovery that no one has ever talked about. Also a lot of times people try to prove it by sharing clips of them losing "rigged" gunfights but from my experience it's just them losing a gunfight they already had a 50/50 chance of winning.
This ties perfectly with the “Traditional CoD” video.
Goodbye boom, wish you the Best of luck with your channal
Where you going 🤨🤨🤨🤨
@@mcbonkytron8411 I'm just sick of Call of duty at this point, the franchise is not what it use to be and it never will. Others want to snort copium about it, but I'm gonna find the fun in gaming again somewhere else.

Just play games you enjoy. It’s really that easy.
i see it both ways. I do feel like a lot of the cod community is dumb and hypocritical cuz they’ll say present things for their benefit rather than seeing things objectively. A lot of them will also not admit they have franchise fatigue. But at the same time, all of this shitting on cod may not be productive but it’s sure as hell warranted. High priority of monetization since 2014, lack of security support for older games, their work culture/crunch, no listening to feedback, forcing all their studios to work on one game franchise, etc. it’s just a build up of events imo. Activision has been actively taking advantage of the player base for almost a decade and it wasn’t til WZ came when ppl wanted to suddenly do something about it; you can’t make this shit up….
Partially agree. Influencers need to be responsible, but Activision could easily clear things up by being transparent.
It is always going to get worse...
if u dont work for them then u have zero rights to make your own version of call of duty games
I know the cod community is probably the most shit community in a video game franchise but having said this the current state of the games apealing to mindless consumer casuals and the clear intention to kill off the hardcore community just doesn't sit right with me. As a multiplayer enjoyer I feel neglected by the devs and my feedback seems worthless and doesn't change anything. Betas are just demos to get pre orders and pre sales and cod will just release a 3.0 era when everything goes to shit again like Vanguard.
I wouldnt buy this for 10 bucks after vanguard ripped off everyone who bought it especially if u got it for zombies
Theres alot of evidence out there of skill based damage, and either skill based audio or just weird audio issues, but I'm not sure microtransaction based damage exist, and vanguard is objectively the worst cod game
if i made call of duty games i would have shut down there stuff to become i own it my point is they own the game not people online its not there games to just give away so yes i agree with them for taking them down i would have done the same thing stop taking there games play them like they r or dont play them just dont think u have the right to make your own version of call of duty u do not have that right
They're not even trying now😂
got Orion camo in about 800 hours, roughly halfway through the first season. now im waiting for the next game. camo grind is the only fun part of the game.
Geezus 800 hours?! Respect to you for putting in the work 🫡
Game hours ? Dude I did it 250 lol
one last thing u can still play cold war i got on the other day and the game was fun and nothing happened people r just making that up because every game u play online is unsafe u could get your account took from playing street fighter games or mk games r from playing Elden ring online or from playing your baby fortnight game online or from playing any games online every game online is not safe so u should stop playing every game online at this point
Cross platform gaming and influencers ruined cod everyone wanting to be a pro by cheating just like there favorite influencer there might be 2 who dont cheat doc and nick maybe tim but his shit looks weird more then i like to see
DELETED MW2 OFF MY CONSOLE💔💔
This dude is gone gone huh?
Sounds like you are defending Activision 😅
cod has been pretty enjoyable for me recently, but i have to admit cod is going to shit, a little...
Isn't it time to let call of duty die ?
They've released a game every single year forever... isn't it way too much and getting kinda boring and overwhelming ?
Im just saying..
Edit : maybe it's time to release one COD game every 5 years. Let the franchise breath
I dropped MWII at the start of May and I've never felt so free.
It feels liberating to play whatever I want again instead of feeling chained to CoD's fomo tactics. Hell, other games with Battle Passes and FOMO like 2042 and Fortnite don't feel half as grindy so I can play other games comfortably while feeling caught up and not pressured with those.
I'm FREE.
You were never forced to play the game in the first place? What do you mean you're free lol
getting tired of ppl complaining about sbmm tbh. It ain’t that bad, it’s just whining from ppl who want to noob stomp
You don't get it and there's no reason to explain it further to you. Activision has certainly gotten a hold of you.
@@shadowtitan8545 I do get it. I just don’t care. You’re sounding like a conspiracy theorist lol calm down ffs
Well there is certainly some of that but I wouldn’t consider it the entire reasoning why people are against SBMM.
No I'm just constantly getting shit on every match until I'm versus people who play like bots. I just want normal matches where I'm allowed to shoot back without being instakilled but instead im playing against ultra sweats on energydrink IV drips jump dropshotting every corner and blowing my head out of my ass before I even see them on my screen because the netcode is garbage.
People say COD SBMM is for casuals, but as a casual player I never have fun playing the game and I'd rather cut my nuts off with rusty nail clippers.
@@famalam943 If you understood you wouldn't say people are just whinning.
WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT ... your selling out i will unsub
You’re*
Boom is kinda right lmao
More people leave CoD\won`t enter CoD = more unsatisfied demand for arcade FPS will be on the market. As demand creates supply = more arcade FPS would have chance to appear & gain playerbase. More arcade FPS on the market = more competition to CoD. More competition to CoD = more reasons for Activison to actually try to make their game better. So if you like CoD & you are not indifferent about CoD franchise - criticise it as much as you can. Talk about all stuff you don`t like, even if it`s only rumors (not w\o evidence tho, patent is a real thing). Those are bad rumors & we don`t want them to become true, so we should shout out loud about it. Dislike for this video.

There’s always been a demand for an Arcade FPS. It’s just not many want to supply it.
@@mcbonkytron8411 Yes, because CoD took major chunk of the pie back in a days. And it definitely deserved that than. Popularity has an inertia, but it's not infinite. It needs to be pushed sometimes by actual improvement of the gaming experience. And that thing hasn't happened for a while
@@thegreenpatriot8896 nice argumentation BTW
