For how many devs work on this game, it never ceases to amaze me how little those devs seem to be utilized for supporting the game.

While I do understand the hype around the intervention I think this is them just grasping at nostalgia to bring the community back.
From a gameplay standpoint we already received a sniper, which is similarly heavy and the sniper meta itself is focused around marksmen rifles in mp and signal 50 in br, so there is a 99% chance that outside of the cool factor there will be no reason to use it.
It's a bit yikes to unveil a new $30 battle pass thing, but what's more yikes is that one of the new maps in ground war has Afghan in it but they're not going to have Afghan in 6v6 at all, or at least they haven't mentioned any plans to do so. And I'm a bit sad that they're probably not going to have an ACR, and on a related tangent I don't get why we've not seen an f2000 cause that's a gun we haven't seen in a modern COD for a while

For IW not communcating with the community, you can 100% blame twitter and reddit for that. With all the dumb bullshit that happened back in MW19 launch, yeah it kinda sucks bit what happened had happened. And it REALLY REALLY sucks too because I saw Joe Cecot actually reply to people on reddit about some minor adjustments/additions for MW19, like someone actually asked for cleaner camo's and a solid color camo catagory and he replied that it was a pretty good idea, and guess what? MWII has cleaner camo's and a solid color camo catagory (probably a bit of a reach, but you get my point)

I may be wrong but it looks like the general dynamics submission for the NGSW project, Activision gave its ammunition a weird call of duty name (Lachman hurts my soul) but it’s akin to the .277 fury or the 6.8mm round the M5 will use. Cool to see cutting edge weapons but really just makes me want an M5 in the M13 family of guns, they already granted my wish by adding the sr25/ar10

I agree with them spreading themselves thin. It seems like that from an outside perspective with how many different modes they've got going. I may be one of the few here, but I really enjoy the larger GW and Invasion modes and there are some things I would love them to add or fix with these modes and I don't think they'll get around to it. I also play a lot of DMZ, and I'm very happy with the news there. Overall, I'm stoked for season 3.
the real question is, WHY is shipment in the roadmap? its not a "new map"? I mean yeah its gunfight but, yk they didn't have to represent it as a "new map".

Also ik it, they weren't gonna give us like 7 weapons in one update, which im kinda disappointed, we got the failed General Dynamics bullpup NGSW trial rifle, I wish we got another more interesting weapon to customize and have more interchangeability and more replayability... But we'll see if its not a bad weapon which I think it wont be, if it fires the 6.8mm round.

The sole purpose of gunfight's existence is playing 1v1 FFA on split screen on gunfight maps with friends. Black ops cold war fucked it up, FFA wasn't available on gunfight maps. I hope IW does it right.
I enjoy gunfight. I was waiting forever for it to drop. But I've stopped playing cuz the game is boring and stupid and they hadn't added gunfight. Now I'm likely not going to get back into mw2. It's a shame
I won my first 1v6 on Estate in MW2 hardcore SnD
Joined in on a match against my own clan and my brother literally smacked my controller out of my hands while I was defusing the bomb on round 11... causing me to stop defusing and throw a semtex at the bomb site... which killed me lol. We had 2 setups in the same room btw.
My random team had no idea why I killed myself after winning the game. But my clan all knew exactly what happened

I’m loving DMZ so I’m glad that changes and new stuff are coming to further separate it from Warzone.
I’m also excited for the night maps. But yeah having an extra massive game mode really hurt this game in terms of content.
Modern Combat: Blackout is a mobile port, it handles fine enough, but meh, lol

People were discussing the weather and debating on how it will play. People were also comparing the intervention with its original counterparts and even the tf141 on infinite warfare(Merk Music did that). To say there's no hype is wrong, but I don't get your point at the end either... what good is a month going to do if your reaction to the battle pass rn(when we have official knowledge) is "neat, oh well?" Maybe rather than coming at this from a cod community pov, you're coming at this from a creator pov? I think it people got s3 map teasers early during s2, they would've said "bring it sooner, the current season is dead."
I'll repeat myself here since I didn't get a reply/interaction with my response earlier on Twitter: it matters more so what is in the content drop, not the hype around it... s1 and s2 did not have hype, s3 does. How we go about delivering the hype is debatable and subjective.
If they hyped us up for the next season through story lore, with hidden references or things we are meant to debate, that would be fun. Not showing the maps or guns themselves, but maybe a mission brief from an announcer to Captain Price or General Shepherd! IW's communication does need improving as well
Haven't played since late December, honestly won't touch the game again unless they drop a bunch of classic MW2 maps like 5+

11:01 so does waiting a month 😂 I think if they're teasing content for the next season, it should be done within the week leading up to the event(starting with the most important stuff like maps and guns). Throughout the month(leading up to the next season) I agree that they should hype the community up, but maybe through campaign story or raid lore instead of next season's mp maps.

sounds decent but dam we need more core maps, tho i play ground war. gunfight i basically never touched it in MW2019. and total agree on the weird announcement basically couple days before it releases. and having to guess what content is coming from files or however they leak it.

I'm just glad we're getting way more than we did with season 2. There's actually a fair amount to be excited about this time. I agree that people overhype Gunfight though, any mode without respawns and/or custom loadouts is worthless to me. But, we're at least getting Face Off in-season, and I predict maybe in season 4 they will do 6v6 Face Off (would make sense now that they do 10v10 on 6v6 maps sometimes, plus 6v6 Face Off was in CW). I hope there are no streaks in Face Off though, that's part of what made it so good. And three 6v6 maps is good enough, especially since none of them are remakes this time.

i enjoy arcade movement COD and slower ttk (slightly longer gunfights) so anything they add means nothing to me. give me mw2019 movement with BO4 ttk and the only map is Picadilli 24/7 and i'd be happy 💀
