Large Family LAUNDRY SOAP | how to make LIQUID LAUNDRY SOAP that works

Rather than spending $10 or more for “clean” laundry soap that has hidden ingredients- make your own in a 5 gallon bucket for pennies! I use this non-toxic laundry soap for everything for our family of 10 - my big guys athletics clothes, dirty farm clothes, my husband’s work clothes - it works great and is so SIMPLE to make!

All ingredients:

Materials
1 cup of washing soda
1 cup of borax
1 cup liquid castile soap
13 cups of water
gallon jar or 5-gallon bucket
large spoon or something to stir
(optional) liquid laundry soap dispenser jar
(optional) funnel
Directions:
FOR MAKING ONE GALLON
Heat 6 cups of water to a low boil on the stove.
Add the liquid castile soap (dr. Bronners), washing soda, and borax to a gallon container.
-Pour the boiling water into the container with the other ingredients and stir until disaolved
Top the container off with 7 cups of water or until it is nearly full. the laundry detergent will be a clear and a bit yellowish in color.
Place a lid on the container, give it a few good shakes to make sure everything is dissolved, set it aside, and wait 24 hours for it to gel before using. Once gelled, the laundry detergent should be an even consistency and white.
Store as is or in a glass bottle with a dispenser like pictured below. Shake before use and Use 1/4 cup per load of laundry.
** special note - if your laundry detergent gets a little bit too gelled - add a splash of water and shake or use a spoon to stir again
