The one suggestion to insure is the overflow stand pipe is cut to the proper height. If it is not, you can have a issue with overflow leaking through the flush lever. Just a thought! Thanks for the information.
Thank you! I have done many minor toilet repairs, but never this one. I broke my overflow tube while changing the flapper right at the base. I have temporarily rigged it with a smaller tube in the hole, but figured there had to be a way to repair without buying an whole new toilet!
MUCH easier to replace the broken overflow tube with the same length 3/4 inch PVC pipe. No PVC cement used or needed. Remove remaining broken pieces with a small screwdriver and twist the new pipe in. Easy, cheap, and stronger than new. Don't overthink this.
Apparently this "master plumber" prefers talking in lieu of demonstrating "how-to", seeing little value in demonstrating, or lazy to put in the effort. Thumb down.
Thank you for this video. Now I know I don't have to buy a new toilet. Now I'm gonna go find the new part and finish what I broke. Ha I thought I went too far. But now I'm confident that it can be done and it won't break my bank. Thank you.
Hi there. The tank will not fill up in the toilet I'm trying to fix. It has a new fill valve and flapper that are both adjusted correctly. There is plenty of water going from the fill valve down into the overflow tube, but that water is not filling up the tank. When I take the tube out of the overflow tube & fill up the tank that way, everything works fine. Will a new overflow tube fix this? Thanks!
I'm so glad he said 7/16" socket for wrench. Smart guy giving important information that a novice would not know. Good teacher.
@NuFlush nu flush sucks!
Would have been useful to see the actual steps vs just talking

This video explained exactly what I needed to know. THANKS!

You didn’t show putting the overflow back in the tank?

It would help to show all of those steps!
Good talk but should have shown it. Have to find another video to see what this looks like.

You can keep calling yourself a master plumber as long as you don't demonstrate the actual steps to prove otherwise.@@spasskyfan5389
My toilet does not have an overflow tube? Will that cause problems?
Thank you for posting this helpful video.

Thanks!

excellent-thanks for info!
Water keeps sweeping into the bowl. Changed flapper but still have water seeping
@NuFlush nu flush sucks!
So it's probably the overflow tube shown in the video. So Replace it; anyway that's what I'm gonna try next.
Calling a local plumber. I'd tear up more than I would fix. Definitely not my expertise is plumbing.
The purpose of youtube videos is the graphic. This is a very boring sermon on how to
My supply line fell off and I wasn't sure where the hose connects. This video helped me tonight (the 1:16 point) so thanks!
Why would you have to remove the toilet from the floor? Shouldnt he mean 'remove the tank from the toilet'?
@NuFlush nu flush sucks!
Funny how he said flat bladed screwdriver and used a phillips head!
The "master plumber" in the video obviously needs to be taught how to make a video of a "how to." It's not about his face or his babbling, is it?
@NuFlush nu flush sucks!
What the hell...Theory is ok but we need the practical of this work. Hands on plz
Show the process! Not all of us are plumbers.. Take the time time make the video. Then take the time to give visual. Irritating
Would have been a better video if you showed the process
I'm gonna lose my mind... That big white nut at the bottom of the basin is impossible to get off!! Not, "easy to do"
LOL, big white nut.
That's what she said
Flat blade then comes in with a Phillips hahaha
haha good catch
I noticed that, too.
Damn, he did

You aint no plumber😂
All talk and no action?
i always clog my toilet......allllllllllllllllllll day
Agree, waste of time.
Dito talk, talk, talk and no action. Showing is better than talking. i'll figure it out.
Waste of my time. I went to youtube to be shown, not to have the same directions all over the net reiterated back to me.
No demonstration? Just gona talk about it? Thanks for nothing.
Dude...
This has got to be the worst How To on UA-cam. Zero visuals yet he's sitting right near a toilet
A complete waste of time. You need to show exactly what bolts you are removing with better camera angles.
That was terrible!
Thanks
