I find it so frustrating when everyone says to eat fat. I can't exactly have olive oil for lunch and butter for dinner. How exactly is someone supposed to eat fat??? I rarely have coffee, and I always cook in Ghee, butter or olive oil. But the only way I know how to eat uncooked butter is on toast... Yeah, the dreaded carbs. So how else does one eat these fats? I've not lost any weight by cooking with these fats. I have a huge stomach even though my first meal is around midday and my second around 8 pm (or I'll eat around 4 pm and that will be the only meal I have that day). I don't snack either. So fasting and fats hasn't helped me at all.

Chase, if a child is being exposed to toxic mold (many times it can be hidden behind drywall, in an HVAC unit, under shower tiles, etc) then it can cause issues with the child’s ADH levels and cause frequent urination and even loss of control over prolonged exposure. It can also cause bloating, food sensitivities, random rashes, burning eyes, short term memory recall issues, sensory issues, tantrums and emotional outburst, restless leg syndrome and sleep disturbances.
I’m not sure if any of the above relate, but I want to share for awareness as our family went through this. Roughly, 28% can’t properly detox mold so while one person in the house or environment is fine another may become severely ill.
It is also hard to find traditional doctors whom are well versed in toxic mold, but some environmental doctors are and there are some good resources online on how to test the body such as blood test checking the for an IGg, IGA and IGE response to a long list of common molds, mycotoxin urine test and more.
      I hope this is helpful.

@Ann Campbell Vegetarian, my dear. Get your facts straight. Not vegan, by the way it's related to them being 7th Day Adventist. Do you know anyone from there. I have friends that are 7th Day Adventist and they are Vegetarian who eat eggs and fish. The Vegan community wants to deny the truth, some animal foods are healthier than fake vegan processed foods. Look at all the ex vegans eating meat to heal the negative effects of eating vegan. I was a 6 year Vegetarian, eating plant based, some fish and eggs, no fake foods and loved it and how my body looked and felt. Now I do eat other meats and still look and feel great. BTW, I'm 46 and still get carded, but it could be great genes. I'm also Latina, so it could be all the great whole, freshly made foods I cook and eat. 😋 Sancoho, mondongo, steak with caramelized onions and garlic, liver with onions and peppers...you have no idea what you're missing. Especially for your brain health. I hope you wake up soon.

It has already helped my blood pressure which has dropped about 20 points and is now on the top end of normal. Has not helped by blood sugar yet (still pre-diabetic) but I am sticking with it and hopefully in the next couple of months that will return to normal also.

I've only recently gone over to a Keto diet and wow! What a difference that has made. I dropped of 10kg in no time at all and I was eating far more than I normally used to eat. I've always gone to the gym, and that helps but I was always carrying extra unwanted weight. 😭
Doctors have been telling me BS for years. To say I'm dismayed at most of their lack of knowledge on the matter is an understatement. 😣🤔

I love that you pointed out that if exercising more and eating less worked we wouldn’t have the obesity issues we have. I’ve been told my entire life that I just needed to work out more and eat less. Back on 2011 or 2012 I was eating a max of 1000 calories a day and spending 1-2hrs 6-7 days a week at the gym and was otherwise very active, spent 40+ hrs on my feet at work doing heavy lifting and stocking (I was in retail management at the time) but no matter how hard I worked I could not get down below 250lbs. I literally starved myself and worked myself to the point that I passed out at the gym. I was also losing my hair. A friend took me to the ER and I met a very kind and knowledgeable doctor that told me that what I was doing was not making me healthier. It actually really shocked me Bc so many ppl had been applauding my efforts that it really stunned me to have a doctor telling me what I was doing wasn’t good for me. Anyway, great videos! Thank you for the info.

*Awesome video!!* I guess I have been on the Ketogenic diet for the past year…but I don’t purposely try to follow the exact macros of that diet plan. It just so happens that I naturally enjoy eating this way. I have found that intermittent fasting along with eating no more than 15-20 total grams of carbs per day plus 30 minutes of moderate exercise a few times a week has been a game-changer. My carbs consist of riced or mashed cauliflower, broccoli, zucchini, caramelized cabbage, asparagus, green beans, sautéed onions, mushrooms, etc. Eating fewer carbs in my diet makes my body feel so much better:
    - I feel less tired overall
    - I almost never get migraines anymore
    - I have more energy
    - I am definitely happier
    - I seem to have more patience
    - I am overall way less grumpy and irritable in my daily life
    - I also lost weight as a result so my physical body feels better
Simple Carbohydrates feed the carb addiction and cravings…feeling the need to eat more carbs, and this creates a vicious cycle. The first 4-6 weeks of cutting down carbs is the HARDEST timeframe ever, but does it ever pay off if you can push through that discomfort. I suck at tracking macros, weighing myself, taking measurements, following a rigid diet and exercise plan, measuring out food, etc. So I bit the bullet and finally downloaded My Fitness Pal and it has been a great tool for all of this change. Overall I have lost 50 pounds, gotten a bit more toned, and just feel like I have control in life again. I am no fitness or diet guru, so if I can do this, ANYONE can.

Have recently returned to a low carb diet - which I did approx. 2 years ago, lost 30 lbs in about 4 months and felt great. Emotional eating, 2 Canadian winters and a foot injury saw me regain most of what I lost. I am now more determined to stop poisoning myself by eating crap, for myself, Hubbie and my 2 Grandchildren (with two more en route 😀). Luckily I generally don’t like eating breakfast - probably because I’m insulin resistant so I always feel WAY more energetic if I don’t eat, but will get some MCT to add to my coffee. I am doing 16/8 which I enjoy and find it really helps. New subscriber and REALLY looking forward to watching your Posts. Just Science and facts - no nonsense and no constant Ads for products. Awesome. I find these are very helpful to watch while having my morning coffee, to set me up for the day. Thanks !

Some doctors do try. IF& dietary selection & meal planning is difficult for most patients due to economic, social & other reasons. Most patients have a phenomenon called OLD HABITS DIE HARD.
Other MOST IMP FACTOR CAUSING INSULIN RESISTANCE, OBESITY & DIABETES IS VITAMIN D DEFECIENCE / INSUFFICIENCY. VIT D LEVELS SHOULD BE KEPT ATLEAST AT MID RANGE OF NORMAL. Persons living in cold climates are more likely to suffer vit D defecieny. Normal range for VitD is 30-100 ng. Try & keep it at atleast 60-65 ng, this will also help to keep ur immune system up.
I do agree with you that most doctors donot spend time with patients to explain IF & DIET& EXERCISE, 7-8 HRS OF SLEEP& KEEPING STRESS LOW. This is why obesity & diabetes is on increase.

I tried IF for like 6 months. I am prone to eating disorders but I ate my first snack or meal at about 2 pm and my last meal at 8 pm. Then I went down to one meal a day and one snack 6 pm 8 pm. I was fasting 22 hours a day. I didn't lose much weight and as soon as I went back to a "normal" two or three meals a day when I was hungry, (sometimes eat breakfast, sometimes only lunch, just dinner) I gained weight. I agree I felt better, less bloating and gas, less tummy troubles, I was actually hungry and learned that hunger doesn't mean you must eat right now. But I was sad that my body won't let me lose weight. I have now developed Hypothyroidism to join my PCOS-caused Insulin resistance, pre-diabetic, hypertensive, anxiety ridden body. But I will try this approach which says high healthy fat, moderate protein... maybe it will work. I don't know but I will keep trying.

How about blending them and keeping them in the fridge for longer term use - 1 cup ACV, 1 cup lemon juice, 1/2 a cup raw ginger root, 10-15 cloves garlic, 1 cup honey, 2 tablespoons cinnamon, 1 tbs cayenne pepper. Take 1-2 tbs before a meal but after brushing your teeth.
If worried about getting too fat then simply use this to keep fat at bay in the body: boil some water then pour it in a 1 litre container with 1 tbs ginger powder, 1 tbs cinnamon powder, 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper. Let it cool, then add 1-2 tbs lemon juice to a cup plus honey to sweeten. Top up the cup with the mixture and enjoy.

Obviously if you are diabetic pay close attention to your blood sugar levels. Not sure how low is too low but anything in the 80's is fine.

I absolutely love your videos. You provide so much great information in terms that make it easy to understand. Do you have any recommendations for a woman who is considered hormone type 6 - ovarian fatigue? I have been following a ketogenic diet and I seemed to have stalled and can't get lower than where I am right now. Thank you.

This is all great advice. I’ve never heard of this woman until now, but I’ve been doing this for over a year and I’ve lost 35 pounds. The bulletproof coffee taste fantastic: 1 cup of strong coffee, one tablespoon of MCT oil and 1 tablespoon of grass fed butter. Put it in a blender for just a few seconds. I never eat breakfast. I eat at 1pm and 6 pm and never get hungry because my meals contain almost zero carbs, moderate protein and lots of healthy fat. High fat content beef is also great but make sure it 100% grass fed and finished. Also, make sure the eggs are “pastured” NOT cage free or free range. I’m 71, off my blood pressure meds and have way more energy, and haven’t felt better in 20 years.

I needed this advise in 1990. All I got has been to eat foods I never eat (I am vegetarian) and to eat less and move more. Even though the health professionals are trained about different diets all the ones I have come across don't seem to understand the consequences of the practical aspects of what that means.

Actually, that's one of the problems, health care professionals don't know how to help us or about this. I've struggled for years until I tried the diet. 2 doctors I just visited told me to do it and like magic, I start losing weight. I do have to change the diet a bit for myself, but keto is the only way of eating that has worked for me.

I tried intermittent fasting with a 16hr fasting period. My feeding window was 12pm to 8pm. After a month of doing it, my hands would shake uncontrollably the entire morning before I would break my fast even though I was not in a large caloric deficit at the time. I had to stop intermittent fasting after I very briefly passed out in my office one morning. After some research, I learned that large fasting periods are not recommended for women, especially women with hormone imbalances. So anytime I hear someone recommend intermittent fasting for PCOS and insulin, I wish they would specify that the fasting period SHOULD NOT be the typical fasting period men use. If you are going to try intermittent fasting, do a moderate fasting window, I found that 10 hours was often recommended (8hrs while you sleep, and 2 hours of fasting before bed). It is also recommended that women with PCOS and insulin resistance eat within the first hour of waking up.
I also want to add that shedding some fat off our bodies is a great way to regulate PCOS symptoms and insulin resistance, however, the way you lose fat matters. Think about the long-term sustainability of your diet. Keto, for example, has not been shown to be sustainable or beneficial for adults long term, and can actually negatively impact brain function, and even heart health can be negatively impacted if your keto diet is high in saturated fats. The most important thing to achieve with your diet is sustainability. Figure out what works for you in a way that benefits your body AND your MIND. Adding some HIIT workouts can also be beneficial and has been shown to be an effective way to improve insulin sensitivity and reduce appetite.
Personally, what's currently working for me is a moderately low-carb diet (40% carbs, 30% protein, 30% fat), a 10hr fasting period, and a mix of different training styles (workout week: 2 low-intensity hour-long cardio sessions, 2 HIIT sessions, 2 weight lifting sessions, 1 rest day).

      Shaking- classical example hypoglycemia.
From my experience fasting -skipping breakfast - not work for me after my blood test.
      Changed - eating time 7am-1pm-
Feel more energy in the morning, sleep improved, blood markers better

You make a really wise and sharp point - thank you for posting this useful info 🙏🏼✨🙏🏼 Fasting for 16hrs is most def not for everyone, we must listen to our body’s intuition and signals.

I have done IF for almost 6 years now and personally I find it easier to not skip what is traditionally known as breakfast and skip dinner.
Of course I am an early bird and at the gym at 5:20/5:30 AM and by the time I get done, get home, shower etc. I eat about 8:30 or so and then again around 12:00/1:00 PM. I find skipping dinner a lot easier and also find having all your food digested before going to bed has made for more restful sleeps and I also almost never get hungry outside of my window. I believe your schedule should dictate your window or you will never stick with it long term
