  • Whether you are a man or a woman, the deep fat that builds up in your belly greatly increases your risk of insulin resistance. In fact, when scientists surgically removed 18% of the belly fat in obese mice, their insulin sensitivity improved, and their onset of diabetes was delayed. This is not a video on how to surgically remove belly fat, and we are not mice, but I do have a daily strategy that you can use to fight back against belly fat and insulin resistance. Best of all, you can start doing this today, using - eTRE, Apple Cider Vinegar, and Cheese.

I'm 70 & started doing 19-20 hr fasts 2 weeks ago. End of first week I did one 24 hr fast then for 2 days did 14 hr. fast I don't eat bread or carbs on fast days.. but indulge on non fast days. Also I cut back on sugar. Cravings have stopped!
I started ACV in water to break the fast.. then ate 2T. vanilla yogurt. Later I had one small meal with protein. I am NOT hungry at ALL! Today for the first time I felt happy & full of energy! I started doing easy wall planks, squats, leg & arm exercises with 3# weights!
I'm in shock.. haven't felt like this in decades! I have had severe depression most of my life..
Today is a new beginning! 🎉
I'm even happier that I get to eat CHEESE!😋

I'm 65yrs old, being a trucker all my working yrs, I accumulated a nice supply of belly fat & insulin resistance to go along with it, now that I'm retired, I've been concentrating on my health, I practice intermittent fasting along with resistance training, I look & feel better than I did in my 40's when it comes to Apple Cider Vinegar, after being an alcoholic all my adult life, taking a nice swig is nothing to me, that's my alcohol these days, I consume before dinner and before bed it has helped me tremendously, I make sure I keep some in my car to have it while eating out or away from home, great content, although I hear it from other content creators, we tend to let things slip if we're not careful 👍

Use a STRAW for any acidic intake to protect your teeth. Also, adjust the dosage so it's safe, too much acid can strain your kidneys. A couple of tablespoons worth before a major meal is enough, if you take more than dilute it in water. (Hint: never take more than two major meals in a day, usually 16 hours or more should be in a fasted state or taking very small amounts of food that are easy to digest and **don't** create massive blood sugar/insulin spikes).

Muddle fresh mint, Monk fruit sweetener (to taste) and 2 tablespoons ACV with ice in a large glass. Top with water and stir. Enjoy. I served this to a friend and she described it as something you would be served at a spa. It is very refreshing, especially on a hot summer's day. @@sherylreed3558 Hi Sheryl! I have lost 9lbs in weight over the last sixteen days. I have found Dr Becky's advice extremely helpful and practical. It has helped me to make small but sustainable adjustments to my eating habits. I have cut out sugar and have a moderate protein, low carb diet without snacking. I think the most significant change for me has been re-setting my sleep schedule. I have spent the last four years only managing on between three and five hours sleep a night because I was uncomfortable and in pain - and when the pain was no longer there, the poor sleeping habits remained. I have found taking Vitamin D before bed helps the quality of my sleep and I've given myself a rigid bedtime so I can re-train myself with the same discipline that we use with children. I'm now getting between seven - nine hours sleep a night and feeling far better for it. I am not ready for 'advanced' fasting at this point. I have been eating between midday and seven in the evening and this is comfortable for me right now. I have been doing resistance training at the gym - 40 minutes four times a week and walking every day for at least half an hour. There are some good videos to be found on UA-cam for chair fitness routines and chair-based yoga which might help you - I have been breaking up my working day with chair-based yoga since January, as my job is sedentary. I'm pleased with my current rate of progress because I am still on daily steroid medication (tapering by 1mg per month) and I'm feeling healthy with plenty of energy. I have 5 stone in weight to lose to return to my original weight before my illness and this does not seem so daunting now that I am finally losing for the first time in four years. Wishing you the best of luck with your weight loss journey, Sheryl and thank you so much for your interest. xxx

Not to be an ■sshole or whatever, but this video is a joke. Here's why:
The lady clearly states that the goal is to control blood sugar levels but then tells you to drink vinegar *_instead of telling you to stop eating things that raise your blood sugars in the first place._*
Can you see how much of a joke that is?
It's like someone telling you to run 20 miles to burn off the pizza you just ate instead of telling you to not eat the pizza in the first place.
If you want to lose fat rapidly, control your blood sugar levels with ease, and put diabetes (type 2) into full remission, just stop eating things that raise your blood sugar.
In other words, cut out carbohydrates.
All carbohydrates - including the ones from fruits and vegetables - break down into glucose after being eaten.
That glucose (sugar) raises your blood sugar levels.
Your body responds by releasing insulin.
Insulin tells your cells to store any extra blood sugar that your muscles won't use as fat.
      In short:
      Carbs
      ⬇️
      Sugar
      ⬇️
      Insulin
      ⬇️
      ✅️ Fat storing mode
      ❌️ Fat burning mode
If you cut out the carbs, you never start that chain reaction that leads to fat storing mode and the new situation looks like this:
      ❌️ Fat storing mode
      ✅️ Fat burning mode
Keeping your carbohydrate intake to 20g total per day is low enough to prevent that fat storing mode from triggering.
But, if you want maximum fat burning mode, just cut out *_ALL_* carbs.
      For maximum fat-burning:
      ■ "Carnivore" diet - meat ( *_with the fat_* ), sea food, eggs, butter/ghee, salt, water
      ■ Eat one *_huge_* meal per day (lunch)
      ■ No carbs - bread, oats, cereal, candy, "health bars," fruit, fruit juice, vegetables
I lost 30lbs in 90 days doing that. And I didn't do a minute of exercise.
And I just got my before-and-after blood test results back - so many great improvements, and nothing got worse.
Anyway, I'm sure this lady means well, but, she's offering some really strange advice here.
Cutting carbs is the #1 best way to rapidly and safely lose fat.
      There are two downsides though:
      1) Sugar withdrawals - you will probably get headaches, be tired, and irritable for a week because of coming off of sugar addiction. It can be miserable but it will pass. It's like quitting caffeine or nicotine.
      2) Diarrhea (temporary) - Your gall bladder won't be used to making enough bile to process so much animal fat. This will cause diarrhea until your gall bladder "wakes up" and increases bile production. It took me about 9 days.
Anyway, peace and love to everyone.

The cheese may be the real blessing here -as you said - the fat/protien/low carb content. This may cut the night-time, low blood sugar wakening. When this happens, sleep cannot be regained until something is eaten. Historically a lower sugar item like a small apple or homemade sugar free muffin (also very small), prompts sleep. Otherwise 4 -6 hours of wakefulness can be expected. As this is a recent phenomenon - searching for other strategies is mandated. Already 18/6 Intermittent Fasting is in place but concentration on Morning fasting, rather than evening as evening is family together time. The ACV will be trialed as well as small amt cheese. Thank you so, so much! Love that you are moderately paced in your explanation, that you provide the reasons and that you are gentle and even a little humorous in your approach!

I’m not sure if anyone else mentioned this method, sorry if it’s a repeat. I have been using ACV for a decade or more, especially when I get a stomachache or stomach bug, it will nix the pain or that uncomfortable feeling in minutes. I add ACV to seltzer water and it becomes a refreshing drink, instead of the harsh flavor mixed with plain water. In a pinch, I will use balsamic vinegar in the seltzer water, giving the drink even a richer flavor, still gets rid of a stomach ache or eating too much, it helps digest that full feeling faster. Thank you for the video, every suggestion that helps us naturally instead of using mainstream shelf medicine.✨💫

You are the one who put me on IF and low carb diet. It was three years ago. Since then I have learned a lot from my and a few more trustful sources.
I never liked breakfast, so I have breakfast just on Sunday. So I usually have fasting around 16 hours. Sometimes I do OMD. Maximum I have done is 56 hours fast.
My question is, if I have dinner, but no breakfast, and I take ACV after dinner, would it be beneficial as well?

But then, I love fat: nuts, cheese, cream, butter, seafood, non-starch veggies, etc. Doing this - plus eating very little food after lunch, just a bit of cheese. Apple cider vinegar is wonderful - every a.m. I also shake a lot of turmeric into my food and drink. Looking great in my clothes was my vain goal, and I reached it: thirty pounds gone in three months, with no pain/no gain. Still doing it a year later and lovin' it. (Heavy cream in your coffee??? Lots of butter on your veggies or baked fish??? Yummy. You won't crave food any longer. It's carbs/sugar that trigger cravings. I never think about food any more unless it's "time to eat.")

For the years I have been fasting and following so many cooks who also fast, I created ACV popsicles! They are amazing. I use tumeric, (sometimes collagen), healing (non sweet) herbal tea (as the base=water), cayenne (the best part), stevia (based on which science studies you follow, does not break my fast or spike glucose), Lemon or Lime and sea salt (I prefer flower of the ocean). I make these ahead of time and they are simply delicious! When my mouth 'get lonely' and I was a beginner faster, I used this to bridge my fasting hours. Now I love them and have them even in my eating window after eating. My 'meals' are 'snack sized' and full of variety with protein as the opening act always (no shakes or bars, real protein). ACV is a MUST but besides salad dressings and marinades, there are so many ways to consume it!
